but why would you need to jack vehicle up?
My reasoning is that car only heats when at constant rpm/load going up the hill, therefore the air pockets will start to collect at the top of the radiator blocking coolant from cycling through the radiator system. I think that may be the cause of my previous engine's demise...going up the hills at newy freeway, over heat, top hose burst, probably from all the pressure of the coolant trying to force itself into the radiator. Also, air lighter than coolant, easier to escape if radiator filler neck is the highest point of the car.
ohkay might be something new,,
i've been in the trade for 5 years,, obviously don't know it all, but yeah
never done it that way,, i work on light commercial heavy and mining equipment generators etc,,
cheers
don't bother, you got BHG.
fair enough man,, keep that in mind, just incase for future diagnoses cheers bludger u d man
No bubbles. But!!!! I noticed it took forever for the fan to drop the temps, even switching the heater on works better. Is my fan spinning the wrong way?????

just look at the fins and see if it's spinning the right way..
Couldn't tell which direction. Just rewired it now, going for a test run. So far so good, lots quieter than before.
if it was using water it would be, but seems alright
Took out the intake resonator today, but now my fender lining is all ****ed up! Was bending it out of the way to get to screws and shit. Anyone know how to fix this? There's no screws that holds that part in

that part just get tucked in. all you need to do is push it back behind the bumper... no screw needed.
I tried tucking it in for ages, stubborn piece of shit just won't tuck :(
pull the bumper outwards. then bend the liner. push it back in. or... use a flathead screw driver lever it in. make sure you have a cloth on the head so it doesnt scratch.
I found that there's a way to do it for mine. Try inserting the top corner first cause its slightly more flexible. Once you get an edge in, the rest should be easy to push in. Don't try to push the entire edge in at once though.
how much kws did you gan removing it?
**** it just take it out. i did it to my left side because it started scraping after a drive through the north side hills.
did this today stripped it for 2012 bigger and better plans

Living in Big-Brother's Shadow
Honda's neglected hero,
the VTEC-D15B engine
The D15B engine http://asia.vtec.net/article/d15b/dohc.jpg
In the mid 1980s, Honda's top engine in the Civic was the DOHC ZC delivering 130ps and redlining at a high 7200rpm. This engine powered the top Honda Civic models; the EF6 & EF7 Civic/CRX Si. In 1989, Honda invented VTEC, implementing it first in the DA6 Integra RSi & XSi in April and followed by the EF8/EF9 CRX/Civic SiR towards the end of that year. Honda continuously refined VTEC and migrated it to other engines and one of the first benefactors was the D15B.
The D15B has always been in the shadow of its larger, more powerful 1.6l brothers. When the DOHC ZC was the top engine, the D15B came in both single and double carb'ed SOHC versions, the dual-carb version delivering as high as 105ps in the CRX 15X. When VTEC became available, two versions of VTEC D15Bs were developed for the EG-series (1991-1995) Civic. One is the well-knowned VTEC-E which delivered an incredible 20+km/l mileage. The other is the VTEC D15B, a power implementation. The VTEC D15B is a very significant engine variant because Honda used VTEC to make it possible to generate as much power as a DOHC design from its SOHC configuration. Thus the VTEC-D15B generates 130ps and redlines at 7200rpm, ably replacing the DOHC ZC design despite having 100cc less displacement and one cam-shaft less !

Nothing today cause of work.
But im attempting to change my brake cylinder/booster tomorrow, install my system back on and maybe clean my carpet
When i done the EFI conversion it got heaps dirty :(
Is changing the alternator belt easy? i have no experience with this?
Dont you have to take an engine mount off to change the belt?
I dunno..... just seem to remember something annoying
Or maybe it was timing belt, I've confused myself :(
and I didn't do anything to my civic today :(
I think you are thinking of timing belt.. its under that annoying cover..
Alternator belt I think I just need to take the alternator off to replace the belt =|

looks good man, what happen to your prop valve?
its behind the fire wall
changed my gear knob and vacuumed my car . that is all. needs exterior clean
Bought a handheld steamer :) ! finally steamed my SR4 Recaro's but to be honest , didnt do much . i need to buy a cleaning agent that'll clean them but not destroy them . vacuumed the inside and also wiped down the dash with UV protectant.
Now with the Recaros back in :( awhh my eg is slightly slower LOOL damn heavy seats .
also washed the car with 4 bucks from the carwash ;) great day .
No need to steam alcantara seats.
Ttry get hold of some upholstery cleaner from an upholstery shop and give them a wipe down with a microfibre cloth every 2 weeks (I use one to apply and one to go over it) and give them a wipe down. Then give them a hit with the vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to 're-plush' the alcantara; and also to get rid of the 'crap' (eg sounds disgusting but dead skin, dust, pollutants from air when you drive with your windows down etc etc) that builds up on them every day and you should be fine :)
yeah i was thinking of getting upholstery shit to give them a proper clean . their still in good condition but i wanna act on them early before stains become .. permanently stained !
thanks for the advice , i vacuum them every week to try stop dust build up .
only thing that kills it the most is .
the rain .
I need to clean my Recaros too. I remember reading a good write-up about it, I'll try and find it
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...ket-seat/page2
;) could be others out there too...
Yeh but don't get that foaming shit rubbish for alcantara I don't think the condition of them would be that bad! Plus I've seen a guy use that one on his.. think it was a VW Jetta or something... and he totally f*cked up the alcantara and the company wouldn't reimburse him because it said on the pack to try in a small area first before applying to seats incase alcantara went funny. Ouch.
Haha, keep your windows shut! LOL.
Funny because I hate driving with my windows up...even when it is raining! I just leave the back ones open a touch if it's not too bad hehe ;)
lol thats my old thread, but that was about rebuilding Recaros with new foam and trims
Here it is, read this thread http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2821700
this dude had a set of Yellow, Red and Black SR3's that he cleaned. Looks mint

How are the fronts Anthony?
Too hot to do too much.. fitted EG6 plastic headlights but got carried away detailing the chassis with all the front end apart.
Surprised how much lighter the plastc were versus oem glass lights but i forgot to weigh the eg6 lights before i put them on..and with the H4H bulbs MUCH better than the stock lights.
Slapped on some rice, PWJDM fender bolts, battery tie, tow ring, shift boot and new bolts for my dizzy so it doesnt fall out again lol.
David, guard rolling/flaring weekend? :p
My fronts still need to be done, I've been so slack.
lol nigs anytime ill do it for you i already did mine i rolled and pulled it out lipped it whatever you wanna call it ill be able to 215 easy on rears front 225 easier as the j's fenders have heaps of clearance some pics

i install a spoon front lip and fix the front light
am I the only person on OZH to be running my bumper support beam ? HAHAHA
I know it weighs over 10KG's but if you guys have a frontal impact bye bye chassis !
Stupid rear swaybar being an ass while im trying to put in my coilovers. And now i can't wind them any shorter cos the cspanner won't fit, the rotor heat shield thing is in the way -_-. makes me wonder how some people can get their ride slammed when they can't even fit their hand in between the rotor and top of the arch.
Car started three wheeling on flat surface as well?
