yep yep that's right, PLY44 AKA JON22 (banned) lol
aero where'd u get the decals from?
andd what colour u painting ur calipers
got them off ebay. im just gonna paint them red. yes, its been done to death, but i like it.. but first i have to get some paint stripper coz my calipers are currently painted black
Please anyone know if I can put my songs on repeat or random with my stock 6-stacker? :D
ekdez who is that gorgeous girl in your dp..every time you post i get distracted by her
^ the same thought that crossed my mind 2 hrs ago. She looks jap.
Anywho...
while I wait for my new intake to arrive, gonna enjoy hacking up my old one for fun...
hacking up? wait! what is it?
The stock air box. I'm planning to cut out the bottom of it to expose the panel filter...
stealth ftw!
& louder vtak!
& heatsoak ftl :(!
Lol xenon lemme know how that turns out...what intake + exhaust you running?
Stock until the Fujita arrives. Planning to swap over the stock muffler with my CD5's Magnaflow 2.25"in/dual 3"out
would you be able to record a run before and after for me so i could get a feel for what it would sound like?
some photos of CAI on the civic fd.. and its an injen with the hydroshield.. thank god i got this on due to the hectic rain thats been going on

nice johnny! How long did it take? what exhaust?
record a youtube so we can see the diff! =D
installing the injen took around 40 mins to do
this is a vid of my exhaust only.. havent got one for my injen, but you can hear the sucking sound when going over 3500rpm
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDg8ifg3a5c
nice! how is it inside the car? is it noticeably louder normal driving?
Where did you get the hydro shield from? can't believe it really works :D If I had known they made something like that I might have bought a CAI instead...
qhy have u got 2 ballast?
hid high beam as well?
Pretty cool setup...I couldn't be bothered taking the bumper off to mount the ballasts
hydroshields good for keeping the air filter pod clean and dry... its water repellent but aint water proof... so if u drive in a flood knee deep, then ur stuffed hydroshield or not with CAI
yeah, both high and low.. may as well get the set for lights
lol are HID high beams even useful?
yeh definitely... sometimes when the low beam HIDs arent bright enough and need daylight vision at night, high beams for peace of mind
oh of course... but then u can't flick them at people :(
yehh.. i only use em in deserted street areas where theres no cars around... not on the main road or highway, that'll piss ppl off if on high beams
plus its illegal to highbeam when there r oncoming cars lol
Modified my stock air box and the car threw a CEL! lol so gay! I disconnected the -ve terminal beforehand as well and let the car adapt afterwards.
I doubt that my Fujita intake is gonna work then...
Why do our cars have to be so sensitive
howd u modify it ? u probably moved the MAF sensor, which has to be like in the EXACT same spot/distance/length etc as stock (fd2 engine is really sensitive). ur fujita intake should work if since its properly designed, im guessing the k20z3 will have similar intake specs to k20z2... hopefully for you lol
someone buy the RBC intake manifold already.. haha
costs as much as an intake lol =.=
I just kept my stock intake box and run a pipe to the front bumper for cold air.
Work just as well :)
eh really =.=.. hmmmmmmmm, cant thikn of why it would throw a cel
Well now that I've already started modifying the stock air box I'm gonna try a different approach:
cut off the top part just after the MAF sensor and attach a pod.
See if it gives a better induction noise and hopefully remove the CEL (by some miracle)!
What intake are you running?
Here is a pic of my new shoes.
Attachment 14711
duuude i want to look like that :(
Whats the stud pattern of our cars? The same between FD1/FD2?
Mate, this was already done to my intake when I bought the car. Sounds like what you are attempting. Not too sure what the original owner did, but from what he told me, he removed the original box and air resonator, put a pod on and made a custom pipe and heat shield to redirect cold air to the pod.

I haven't seen a CEL problem, so either it works or he took out the bulb on the dash :p
And because I bought it this way I can't tell you what the diff in sound is like.
Where did you get the visors ylo00w?
Thanks for the pics and info evo. Nice to see a bit of carbon in your engine bay ;)
Btw, it looks like he's used the stock pipe for the cold air induction (that previously led to the resonator chamber).
Mine's an FD2 so it will look a bit different to that as the intake manifold is at the front :)
Mugen visors came from JDMyard.
Here some specs
RPF1 17 x 8 x 45
stock rubber
215 x 45 x17 not too stretched, will go 225 next time.
Lowered on Tein Htech springs
Finally, a car with a popular stud pattern! Standard ET is about +35?
standard offset is +45
How are you guys with FDs lowered on just springs feeling? Bumpy?
Anyone know how to remove the license plate bulb covers?
Bouncy is more like it for springs, not bumpy... bumpy is for coilovers :p The Tein S Tech Springs are comfortable enough, but there is still quite a lot of roll
The bulbs are changed from the back, you need to open the boot, unscrew the boot id lining and you will find the licence plate bulbs.
the covers? if u wanna just swap the bulbs with some LED's there is a DIY written up on it here:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...te-bulb-change
Thanks guys.
Yeah my last car was bumpy on the smoothest of roads with buddyclub coilovers >_>
anyone wants to sell me their oem stock speakers? still loooking for them ><!
What do you guys think of this short shifter kit?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...id=p2759.l1259
seems alrite, it works the same way as the skunk2 short shifter
A definite fit for our FDs?
Any chance of faster synchro/clutch wear? I have a kit on my Accord and it seems too tight now compared to when I first fitted it
i rkn just get skunk2 short shifter mate - better safe than sorry
i really want these so bad!
