anyone ever seen a turbo vtec k24Z ? LOL!
found it on a fan page on facebook called "turbo"
LOL guys!!!! I hate you all :p
Hmmm turbo'ed K24z? nah... better keep it NA
I like the chromed strut bar!
hey guys, does anyone know where to get the k&N panel filter for cheap?
Ebay or from USA. Postage is the killer, but still should cost under $80 landed. They cost about $120 from shops in Australia.
part # 33-2430.
Yet another thing im waiting to buy......
Checked eBay for ya and it's not cheap there, better off finding another site which sell it or just buy it locally. Cheapest I found was about $73 + $138 shipping lol.
I was tempted to change my one too...was considering either that or a Injen CAI...do ya know the difference in fuel consumption between the 2? lol
heeltoeauto.com has them for US$42.35, costs US$35.35 for USPS shipping. US$77.70 total.
They got the injen intake for $US291. $65.95 USPS shipping. US$356.95 total.
Injen intake expensive (I've seen them for US$240 on ebay), but when you consider that JDMyard sells them for $600, you'll save some serious coin!
Good find on heeltoe!
Haha yeah Injen CAI is a slight expensive "investment" on the car, but apparently there is more of a power difference with the Injen in comparison with a K&N filter.
I probably won't be upgrading soon coz fuel is draining my account as it is these days, being an unemployed student and all haha :P
hey any of you guys no were i can find a cu2 stereo fascia from?
dont forget to key in ozhonda for the coupon code during check out in heeltoeauto.com.
Please let me know how it goes! Power difference + fuel efficiency change :P
Total not high enough to apply the ozhonda coupon lol :(
Here's the link if anyone's interested:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-Accord-Eu...#ht_768wt_1137
hey man just wondering were you found the fascia for the dvd player from? looks crazy been looking for a fascia for to months couldn't find them any were?
My car's didn't have an accurate fuel gauge, like the euro, but my impression was the fuel economy was better.
By noise, when you rev up normally you get a high pitch sound, with the K&N it's a bit lower more gruntier, as if the engine doesn't struggle for breath.
difficult to write down, but they're all plus, no negatives whatsoever.
Ah kk thanks mate. Something to consider :)
Hey guys
havent posted some recent pics of my car so heres one i did last weekend got heaps of photos but im in a rush so these will have to do ..... for now ....
i got some overlays for my headlights - gunsmoke (just indicator part only) and fogs - arctic blue
i ended up putting my H&R springs on because they werent selling and i had them already so i got them installed and extremely happy with them. just under a finger gap between the fenders and the wheel. I thought they would scrub but the wheels have +35 offset but we'll see after the wheel alignment.

Absolute beauty mate, I'll probably getting a kit within the next week (see how my schedule goes). My birthday is coming up this next Sunday so hopefully I'll have everything done by then! haha
nester, where u get the overlays for the indicators? very keen on those? plus we need to have a brissy cu2 meet.
thanx for the reply guys ...
i got the overlays from lamin-x in the acura tsx section
they give you the full headlight over lays but they are seperated in two parts ( the indicators and the rest of the headlight) and in this case i just used the indicators.
i got the combo pack which was the headlight overlays + fog overlays for approx $70 shipped.
very happy with them
and +1 on the brissy cu2 meet. lets get a photoshoot arranged!
Yep...lets make a date and have a meet.
guys i got my knfilter from ebay, just search kn filters and look at who doesnt overcharge for shipping. I msged one of the sellers and said he cud order it in for me. then i combine postaged it for $5 extra with my mates civic's filter and we got it for like just under $60 each.
i agree with the comment about the sound. im not sure if its a placebo effect but i definitely noticed a better sound and slightly better throttle response with the filter. best buy ever.
however recently my fuel economy has gone from 10 to 11.5, cud be cuase im doing more city driving and havent gottent my 20k km service tho. (already on 25k!). I dont think its related to the filter, more like my driving style, makes u wanna rev harder cuase the engine doesnt sound "like its suffocating"
btw how do you clean these things? box came with no instructions, friend said you gotta use this special oil/liquid?!? i thought that cant be right
and how often are you meant to clean them?
btw nester, sexy ride mate. My kit could arrive any slower...currently on a boat somewhere in the ocean T.T gunna take a few weeks to get here
With the fogs, theyre still stock right? with the arctic blue overlays you added, do you still get a yellowy tinge? i wanted to chagne mine cause i dont like the yellow bulbs conflicting with my white headlights.
which is easier, adding overlays (do you need to bake it?) or changing to different bulbs?
Anyone else got an K&N filter installed?? I want to know more, especially about the fuel economy. :D Under $60 each...that's a really good price mate, where did you get it sent from?
How much did you get your kit for? Should've just ordered locally :P I don't think it's that much more expensive than if you ordered from one of those China stores.
With the fog lights, I'd suggest you buy a pair of white light/6000k H11 bulbs on ebay to replace your current stock ones. Or if you want to go all out, go for a HID kit and install that in place of your fogs :P That's what my mate did on his Jazz and it looks absolutely amazing...:P
thanks mate, my fogs are 8000K HID's, so the blue overlays make no difference whats so ever.
Changing the bulb will be the cheaper option and make a bigger difference. The overlays do not really change the color of the light because they are designed to let a certain percentage of light out.
I did not need to bake them they simply just apply to the top of the fog lens.
correct me if i'm wrong,
but andrew (nester jester), i think your car is advertising for paul's successfully selling type S kit,
http://www.bodykitskingdom.com.au/euro-8th.htm
those photos of your car don't look as good as the ones you took and just posted up, but DAYUM it looks hot either way.
oh and i noticed there's a new clickable option next to the type S kit,
and yes, it says MUGEN STYLE KIT!!!
http://www.bodykitskingdom.com.au/acrd.htm
so i am guessing paul is going to start making mugen style replica's, though he hasn't finished advertising on his website yet, I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE HIS WORK.
did a DIY paint job via 11oz aerosol spray can with matching color code
did the eye lids and lower part of the grill. upper grill is still wrapped in cf vinyl
it still needs to be wet sanded, polished and buffed to make it nice and shiny

35W are still bright! haha my 6000k HID Low beams are 35W too and they are awesome at night :P. Yeah gay fog light law...i think its like $45 if you get busted with them on :(
I'm assuming by "6000k globes" you meant HIDs. If so, the way I did it took a bit of effort. I took down the entire bumper just to hid the ballasts (in case coppers pulled me over saying it's illegal etc etc). I also drilled some a hole in each of the low beam housing (the black weatherproof cover) to feed the HID wiring through. I duct taped the hole down to prevent any thing going in. It was pretty straight forward to install the HIDs if you know what you're doing...it's pretty much "plug and play" :) Hope this helps.
He said he's going to get some in soon but hasn't given me an exact date. He still has Type S stock though ;) Do you prefer the Mugen over the Type S? If so this is what it looks like if you haven't already seen:
http://www.jspec.com.sg/product_detail.php?product=190
Might cost a bit more coz its Polypropylene, which is a bit more durable than Type S's Polyurethane. That's my assumption anyway. Something to consider in the future Simon ;)
So far so good mate. Nothing wrong with stock :P....n P platers pride ! ;)...I'll get a few shots of my very stock euro too soon :D. But I really want to do something to it before I post up any good photo though hehe.
-----------
Going off topic - Has anyone considered changing their high beam bulb to a white bulb (but blue housing) - something like http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2X-Xenon-Whit...ht_2964wt_1137. They're not really "white"...more greeny in the dark for some reason. They're also not that bright coz my HID kit pretty much eats it up :P. Anyways the reason I suggest this is coz it "LOOKS" pretty awesome imo, because of the blue tinge. I could post a pic up of it if you guys want :D
oh what I meant .. is that I already got factory HID low beam, but I think they must be in the standard range of 4300k. I am looking into changing it to the 6000k range, giving it more of blue tint, that may match my LED driving lights better too.. but not sure how to do it as I cannot see any ballasts lying around. So not sure if I can just change to a 6000k HID globe just by switching the globe itself..... has anyone else consider this switch? (the factory manual highly recommends that I do not change the HID globe myself... hahahaha)
Oh right, I'm not to sure how the factory ones work...eg the wiring and stuff :( Sorry there!
If you have the luxury model with stock HIDs then all you have to do is switch globes to 6000k. I did that.
thanks nxn75u!!!! so can just get a set of 6000k HID globe from eBay/Dealextreme I guess. Thought the factory set up may be different to aftermarket ballst kits.
Yup just dont forget that the bulb type is D2S... glad that helps:wave:
hey nice car Simon! i still dont have any regrets getting CBP. Except when a bird sh*ts on it .. hahaha
yeah, i thought i had a feeling Paul from bodykitskingdom was gonna start doing the same thing as JSPEC are doing, but that is a benefit for us anyway, none of these overseas hassles and doubts for the mugen replica kit!
thanks tony! and yes P PLATERS PRIDE LOL! Looking forward to seeing your stock euro, for now we can be stocky brothers haha!
thanks andrew, but like i said above, it's nothing compared to your baby girl (or maybe it's a boy :S) it looks like a piece of dust LOL! and yes Crystal Black Pearl = no regrets, but my one looks a tad dodgey now (posted the story in another thread) but i'll post it here anyway.
After thinking that "paint protection", that came with dealership package, would protect my paint from literally everything, i decided to go to a "wash it yourself" car wash place, following the "recommended steps" i used their "foam brush" which literally looked like a floor broom with soap coming out of it, after i dried the poor thing off, in the sunlight i noticed visible ugly brush strokes scratched into the paint, after asking many friends about this, they all told me i was stupid :( ... and told me to use a sponge next time.
If anyone knows if this is fix-able, then hit us up please!
Are you more interested in the Mugen than Type S kit? If so I'll try get a hold of them and try them on my car, shoot some photos and post :) Really depends on how "popular" it will be (to get stock in etc).
As for the photos of my stock euro, I'll try find some time either this week or after next week (bloody assessments due all week long next week =[)
I'm not too sure, I've washed my mate's car at a "self wash place" called Freedom in Brissie and the foam brush they had there was pretty "car-friendly" from what I remember. But as for the scratches I'm not too sure, how bad are they? Have you tried waxing it etc? I know there is a product that fixes scratches (not 100% sure though, just heard of it). Personally, I use a chamois to wash my car and then micro fibre cloths to dry the car body.
PM'd you back mate :) H1 for base model, not D2S :)
Hope all that helped :D
yeah i use a chamois to dry my car, but i'm pretty sure it was the foam brush that scratched it, cos it wasn't there before i washed it :(
and yes, it is pretty bad, only in sunlight, looks like someone got a fork and ran around scratching it, but when clouds cover the sun, all is gone
it's noticeable on my bonnet which is the sexiest part of the CU2 :(
Just to confirm what you meant by stock HID?
If you already have the after-market HID kit( Ballast, wirings, bulbs), then you just have to replace the bulbs with 6000K H1 bulbs.
If your car is is still using the standard bulb, the options available are:
1) You can get an after-market HID set kit which comes with the bulbs of desired temperature/color, wirings, and ballast. this will give you maximum brightness, but note that if you leveled you headlight wrongly, you might blind the oncoming traffics. Also if you are looking at quality HIDs, the prices might set us back.
2) You can also just replace the stock halogen bulbs with higher temperature/kelvin halogen bulb. From previous experience, this options does not give you much visibility, especially in the rain. I used to have 4300k halogen bulbs running on my FD, and visibility was minimum in rainy days.
The standard euros are using H1 and lux ones are D2S for low beams. Please confirm if this is the case. Netjester has done it in the previous thread where he replaced his car with 6000k.
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...light=cu2+bulb
Ah that's too bad then. I just use the chamois to wash the car and wipe away "excess" water and completely dry the car with micro-fibre cloths. Worked like a charm so far.
As for those scratches try going to this thread: http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...Detailing-Tips. And see if any of that helps :D
hahaha... youre very fast! i was just editing my post and i got notifications already! hahaa.. Yup its H1 for low beams...
i concur with Mr.Nxn75u here,
I have tried to use those higher temp/kelvin halogen globes before as replacement for the standard halogen head lights (for another car, not my CU2), but they were nowhere as good in terms of driving needs, they may look good with a touch more ' blue' for appearacne. They are also usually quite expansive too, don;t waste the money there, go for a proper HID coversion if that's your desire!
.. and thanks for your advice before, i just ordered a set of 6000k D2s bulbs from oversea (to replace my exisitng HID bulbs).
;)
Yep the higher the temperature the less bright it is. 6000k - aka Diamond White (possibly 8000k but I doubt it) is a good temperature and brightness. Anything over that and you'll be expecting poorer vision, especially in the rain.
Hey guys, is this any good? I am looking for something close to stock HID but dont want to get a HID kit. :D
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Philips-Diamo...item4cf15fc85d
What's wrong with upgrading to a HID kit?! :P
Anyways I've heard many different stories about Philips Diamond Vision 5000K vs Crystal Vision 4300K, which include the longevity of the bulbs. Diamond Vision is definitely whiter than Crystal Vision, but have the tendency to die in about a year? Not too sure. Diamond Vision also doesn't project light as far as Crystal Vision, as seen here:
http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/5...headlights.png
Snippet taken from http://www.invisionsales.com/philips/bulbs.html
Anyways you want to buy the Diamond Vision bulbs and the price of that eBay item raises, try this place: http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=152
You get free Parkers :P. I've ordered from that site for my friend before, takes roughly a week to arrive in AUS.
Hehe no worries mate. I don't think HIDs will affect your insurance or anything. Only severe engine mods etc. will.
Anyways personal preference I guess :P
Try visiting this part of the forum, as it talks a bit more about the 3 different types of lighting. The main things mentioned are that Diamond Vision give a HID look but isn't as bright as the Crystal Vision bulbs.
Hope this helps.
LOL, the graph title should be:
1. Blinding oncoming traffic
2. Showing off (Hey. I have OEM HID which means my car is luxury model!)
3. just to look good without any purposes
Never the less, I used HID on my CU2 as well :p
Looks like Crystral vision is the way to go. wondering how much can I get it from repco or supercheap auto.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Philips-Cryst...item1e5df9e69f
 hahaha
Most likely not any cheaper than eBay. Give them a call :) won't hurt hehe...
Cheaper from this eBayer
I just checked at Autobahn, they charge a whopping $79.99 for the philips blue/diamond vision. Kwangs' ebay link looks decent. Also, they charge $230 for a set of Philips HID 6000k globes, that's just for the globes. I know other 'cheaper' brands on ebay may only costs ~$40 for a set. yes, quality may vary but that's a nearly 1:6 ratio.......
Just checking before I buy, our car take H1 for low beam, right? :o
Hehe see $21 saving right there :P. I mean you can't really go wrong with a local seller (AUS). 100% feedback so far. Looks good to me! :) There are other brands like Osram/Narva which I heard are decent. Probably cheaper to, but knowing myself I'd probably go with Philips ones anyway haha. With Philips HIDs they are very very dear, compared to the ones you can get for under $100 on eBay. I've heard Philips are the best in the HID kit/bulbs department. Not sure why they're so exxy though =\. Most HIDs are made in China these days anyways, even those "Japanese" branded ones haha
Yep H1 for Standard Euro Low Beam :)
hey guys any one no if a after market body kit will effect my warranty on my cu2 i have rang honda about exhaust and speaker changes and they keep telling me the same thing that if it creates a problem to the car it will void your warranty so pretty much they will blame it on me, had a issue with my set belt buckle and they blamed it on me saying i dropped a liquid in there which i haven't after a big load of B.S they ended up repairing it on warranty... SO Was wondering if they would make some reason that the body kit will effect the warranty
i haven't bought it yet but i was thinking of getting one i have seen one on ebay, from bodykit kingdom for $750 with out paint. any ideas were i can grab one from?
btw guys do u think if i did change the head unit for the sterio it would effect my car? i did it in alot of older cars and i seen them done in newer cars to, don't want to make the mistake of changing it and sumthen goes wrong with the electrical's
that kit has been spoken of throughout this thread for about 20+ pages,
here's the direct link to bodykitskingdom website, with the page of the 'TYPE S Kit':
http://www.bodykitskingdom.com.au/euro-8th.htm
Andrew (nesterjester) is probably the first one on this thread to have bought one from bodykitskingdom owner Paul.
pictures of it will be in previous pages, and it's so sexy, still not over it yet Andrew!!
Feel free to let me know if you're interested! I can probably get you the kit for $800 including the ducktail/boot lip spoiler he's selling for $150 itself.
Hehe sexy indeed. Here are some *very poor* pics taken with the kit tested on my own CU2 :) As you can see it's a pretty good fit as it is (without glue + bolted down) & it's already been coated with primer so you already save a bit of money there :P

As far as I know the Genuine Honda Fog Lights for the Accord Euro use H11 bulbs. I'm not sure if you have to take the bumper off replace the fog bulbs, but I'm guessing you have to, coz nesterjester recommended me to replace the bulbs and install my fog lights at the same time.
