tyre shopping can be so stressful
i'm replacing the infamous falken ziex 326 (225-40-18), ok during dry, absolute peanuts in the wet... lmao
any recommendations for good tyre places in and around southwest sydney (carbamatta)?
i'm thinking of hitting the usual beaurepaires, bob jane, bridgestone store and jaxx but I'm more than welcome to give a shot at any other good tyre stores
thx in advance!
Regarding my post about the RE010, I made a mistake, they are pretty grippy. :)
I called quite a few tyre retailers in Adelaide. Most prices for an Adrenalin 225/45R17 were around the $330 mark. Best I got was $284.
Just got a set of Pirelli Dragons in 225/45/17 for $259 each.
Wish I lived in Sydney still....$225 in inbelievable from Cheapatyres 4u.
But they are apparently about to be phased out due to Pirelli reducing there range, so no more into the country, just what is left here already...:thumbdwn:
Hi folks.
Just went and got my 40000km service, and was surprised to find I still had 6mm of tread on the front and 5mm on the back of my stock RE040 tyres. They're performing fine in the dry, but are starting to feel a bit 'flighty' in the wet, particularly if I hit a bit of re-tarred gravel or something.
I've been thinking about getting some Dunlop SP Sport Maxx's, but the tread life on the stock tyres has me thinking twice. What do you guys think?
Ive had the Pirelli Dragons for over a week now, they are ok but not as grippy as the Yoko C-Drives. They tend to squeal easier during launch and during hard cornering, plus they seem to be a bit noiser at high speed.
C-Drives > Dragons
where can i get good cheap used tyres?? thats with like 80-90% thread??? 17inch that is...
