It's actually a virtual machine with Windows in Russian preloaded with the EPC. So will need
vmware player to use it.
The reason it's setup this way is because the software licence activation is locked down to this virtual machine.

Haha all good Kevin~ : )
it's good to have handy. Smash repairers won't have the excuse that they can't find parts.
This may sound like a strange question, but how many kms do you guys think the rubber on an ep3 clutch pedal would last before it wears out?
I only ask because I had a look at a car on the weekend with very low kays but the clutch pedal rubber was completely worn through. Should I be suspicious?
Hey guys,
I put my 235/45/17 semi's on today and the rear is scrubbing...I used a mallet and heatgun and rolled the rear guards asmuch as I could so they were nearly flat against the inside of the guard however the rear still scrubs. I'm running Aragosta Coilovers dropped around 1.5-2inches all around. I even stiffened up my ridiculously hard coilovers all the way and it still scrubs.
Alignment for rear:
Camber: -2.62 and -2.34 LH/RH respectively
What else could I do to stop it from scrubbing?> I was thinking about rasing the rear 5mm-10mm and see if it stops rubbing. I am going to a trackday on monday and really don't want it to chew through my new semis :(
Also it's mainly the right hand side that's scrubbing the left isn't scrubbing as much...Unforunately I don't have adjustable camber arms either..Not that you would want more than 2.3-.5 of camber anyway.
How are you getting that much camber without adjustable camber arms in the rear?
I have the Hardrace camber kit at the rear and one side maxed out at -2.1 degrees. :/
yeh raise it up man see if it helps
I have a strong feeling the jax alignment machine was ****ed..Those numbers just don't sound right.
I am running dc5 suspension however luke...Do you think that the dc5 coilovers have a different geometry?
Because according to the jax machine I am getting 2.3degs LH and 2.78degs RH camber...That definetely sounds off. OR...the coilovers somehow changed the geometry alot.
dc5 coilovers not oem, I have a strong feeling it is that. Put the car onto my mechanics wheel alignment gear and same results.
luke see if the below link can be of any help~ :D

Best I could do with the images I have: (sorry I couldn't make it any bigger) again the scanned quality isn't great!

Bit hard to describe, but the lip slots into bumper. Just under that there is a raised edge which is held in place by plate(s), that have a 10mm bolt(s) holding them in place.
You could probably get away with cable ties or self tapping screws.
Self tappers would be a lot easier, or cable ties if your lazy!
^ i like your rims man bbs's? if so what specs
Thanks mate. Yeh BBS LM. 17x9 +20.

car looks hot with the BBS' man
After dinner tonight, I noticed my battery light had turned on, my gf pointed out the speedo wasn't working and also the EPS light came on!!! I did notice the steering being a tad heavier than normal and the car felt a lil sluggish at first before I noticed anything.
So glad I found this thread on the 3rd google link I opened: problem-check-engine-light-battery-light-speedometer.html
Got the torch onto the fuses under the steering column and what do you know, I had blown a 10a fuse. I'm assuming it is the alternator one. The diagram on the fuse panel says to look at the manual. I swapped the fuse and everything is working fine now.
As mentioned in the link, does anyone know if the alternator could be stuffed? Hence, blowing the fuse???
Anyone else had the same issue?
I think i'll be changing my secondary o2 sensor soon, just in case I get another CEL light coming up for something else!
I freak out so much every time the CEL comes on. I'd probably crash the car if the CEL popped up while I was driving haha. Did the manual confirm that it was the alternator fuse?
Also, in regards to the prior topic of conversation. Got the front underspoiler on. As it's a universal one, sort of just used self tapping screws and screwed them into the plate and then trimmed the edges of the lip to try and match the OEM one. Definitely a case of good from afar but far from good. Will post photos tomorrow.
I don't have a copy of the manual. I think it was fuse no 4:

Anyone have a copy of the manual? or can anyone confirm the fuse numbers above? the ones that refer to the book.
My CEL has been on for a while now and I have kind of forgotten about it. I know how you feel though!
Hey guys,
Any ideas on where I can purchase aluminium shifter cable bushings kit for the EP3? This is the bushings that you replace underneath the hood, below the stock air filter.
Just installed aluminium gear shifter bushings under the gear knob today. There is a marginal difference - more solid, but I feel it can be further improved.
Cheers.
Bought mine from here http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...725111bb5c1c24
But the Shifter base bushings made a bigger difference than the cable bushings.
Thanks Peppex. Are there any differences between cheaper aluminium cable shifter bushings that find on say, eBay for $30 compared to the anodized, branded ones such as Hybrid racing (~$70)?
Not sure, but I think Corsport ones will be fine as they are a big shop in the US. Try to get from a power seller on ebay which also sell other quality parts.
guiz
whats involved with replacing PFL headlights with FL headlights ?!
Standard PFL are shocking. Well , my standard bulbs are shit and just about dead.
i changed mine and it was a straight swap Ben just needed to separate the hi and lo cables and solder it onto the fl headlight cables, you'll end up having a spare set of wires hanging which isnt needed for the fl ones but if you ever decide to change back you'll need to keep them on or else cut them off. sorry i dont know how else to explain it, was just using a volt meter and checking which wires were which and connecting it through trial and error and the end result was decent. i bought mine from a mate for about 700 bucks with oem ballasts but now its been sold to winry :'(
i wanna get rid of it with all the mods cause im lazy to take it off
We will strip it off ya hehehe
^^ interested in parting out John :)
make some quick cash with the parts!
Yeah I'm interested as well. :)
Will be glad to get some parts off ya
Kev, done much to your car lately? :)
alot of ppl are selling up *sigh*
I'll be keeping my for a while :) love it as a daily..
Same till I find a better car for a long term project.
Got my new light in today boys....
lol yahh I didn't realise you were there :)
I just drop off the shift boot and had to go see gf.. wish I could stay, was a great turn out!
hahaa I haven't done much to my car... except restoring some interior parts..
Sigh..I have just returned from hometown. Bad news..I found that the gruppeM intake, GPS, floor mat, gear knob and sunglasses were stolen :( F**K!!!!
Sorry to hear.
They didn't take your recaros?
they didn't even have Ps when i got my licence lol
Who the f**k steals floors mats??? that's just low!
Yup they didn't. But they stole my spoon sock as well :(
I parked it in the car park of my apartment. They drew a dick on the dust!! F**K!
Cop told me not to touch any thing on my car and they will come to have inspection today but they didn't come....
I want to know too. I have to find where I can buy the floor mat!
there is another ep3 in my carpark but it was crashed. No idea why they didn't break in his car.
Floor mats contact:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...are-negotiable
Personally, I'd be having a good think about the "friends" you keep around you.
1. They knew exactly what to look for (gruppeM, floor mats)
2. Broke into your car and not the other EP3
3. Knew you were away(?)
Usually the first thing ppl steal from type r's are their recaro seats not the useless things like mats and spoon socks.
Some weird theives.
But i agree with symphored, it might be someone you know who doesn't get along with you well.
The floor mats have sold but thanks anyway!
I have already found other way to buy.
I agree with you too but I have no idea who did it.
Next time I wont leave my car alone when I return to hometown.
And I have suggested the owner corporation to install CCTV in the car park.
Luckily they didnt steal my recaro!
Guys
Got a leak somewhere
Water in the BOOT
Anyone had this problem,,,?
HELP
Luke, I don't have an ep3 but in my experiences most book leaks are either bad boot/tailgate seals, rubber plugs on the boot floor or tail lights loose or broken.
First try to source where it's coming from. If can't find then look at your seals if worn or broken. Then check your taillights. If they have condensation in them then they will be leaking water in. If not then remove your boot interior and check I all the rubber plugs are in.
Good luck byuddy
Yeah I've recently seen a dc5r with the same problem. In his case was that the rubber seals of one of his taillights was gone.
Lucky its an Ep3. Put the rear seats flat, jump in the back with the tailgate shut and get a mate to spray it with a hose ..inspect... I would say rubbers or tail lights
man my central locking is screwed. when i unlock door with remote, it only unlocks passenger door and boot but doesn't lock. when i use key it doesn't lock passenger but unlocks driver side door. parkers are out, tail ight is out. KILL ME hahahhaa
Yeah that's common with our cars. Same as mine! Lol but no problem with the parking lights. Haven't heard from you in a while!
Havent heard from you in ages Denrie where u been?
