Let me know how you go with the cable bushings. I think I want to buy them too
Anyone know anything about these Mugen pedals? Planning to get them but not sure if they're direct bolt on to our stock pedals or we have to remove them.

need to drill some holes on the throttle if im not wrong
apparently theres double sided tape. so yea
Double tape isn't safe.
Davek I bought shifter cable bushings for $35
Wow xenonkuraz where did you get cable bushings from, if that's not a rude question.
TWM want $34.95 plus $20 shipping. In hindsight I should have purchased them when I purchased the short shifter.
EBay! $20USD plus $17 shipping
That is seriously good.
Is a throttle controller a good thing?
I have found one called a Shadow E drive for a slightly sus $120 on ebay.
I have a R18, I realise it will add no power, but am hoping to make day to day driving more fun.
Thanks Curtis, will do.
if u read the thread i did make a post in it
hey guys, planning to convert to mugen type r kit. know anywhere to buy type r kit?
type R or mugen?
type R = JDMyard
mugen = shift or ontherun motorsports
thanks jprak.
i think its a type r kit with mugen parts.... ? mugen type r, not mugen rr
ynot2o99 don't get confused.

Bit of an update on the Bommba engine mounts Duffy and I dropped into our daily drives
Righto I've knocked up 3000km and did a track day at Wakefield with these Boomba engine mounts over the last 10 days. Gotta say the car is alot more enjoyable to drive, traction outta corners at the track was awesome with my speed was up by 2-4kmh on the fast sections. Also got a new pb and managed to destroy a Megane, Clio Sport, Toyota 86 and a couple of Puegoet GTi's at the track !! lol . They all has similar spec rubber. Infact the 86 had trouble pulling more than a cricket pitch down the straight ! I was suprised.
Now when I installed em there is an heap of vibration under 1800rpm that disappears but come back with a drone above 3500rpm and gets really loud at 6800rpm. Anyway the mounts seem too have broken in and reduce in sound by 50%, but vibration is still present so I've left the top mount in and removed the bottom one and put back the OEM.
So if you track your car or love to do really easy burnouts or love a car that vibrates and annoys other drivers and pedestrians then the Boomba engines mounts are for you !!
Yes I will re install the bottom mount before the Honda Nats as it only takes a few minute and is worth atleast 0.5 sec.
man, the vibrations would drive me NUTS! lol
actually i dont mind the vibration, sort of what you might get it you had a wicked cam and a straight thru exhaust system.
I accelerated past a V8 the other day and the drive freaked out !! lol. the biggest downside is that the rear view mirror vibrates like crazy and you cant tell the diff between taxi's and cop cars.
what sussy you using?
Tokico HTS struts, I did have Eibach Prokits springs in last week but I just replaced em on friday with Neuspeed Sport springs as the rear spring rate is alot firmer, something I'm hoping will help give a little more speed at the track. Custom rsb and a Cusco fsb. My goal is to get down to 1.13 at Wakefield, and I'm not too far off !! lol
man thats awesome. kicking ass in a humble VTI.
props to you sir.
Ynot! upload a picture of your civic with my old LMs :P
How are they now?
Same here with the vibration. I am considering injecting the stock bottom mount and using that instead. The vibration after 1300kms for me is very evident still. Sometimes I get frustrated with it, and sometimes I don't notice it.
The car does feel so much better with both mounts though.
Having a solid mount on the top and a "not so solid" mount on the bottom wouldn't cause any problems though, yeah?
Sorry to drag this back up, but either Stevil or DuffyFD did either of you guys use threadlocker on the mount bolts? .. was reading on 8thcivic that one of the users there used it to ensure that even vibrations wouldn't loosen the bolts :-S.
lolmclol having a ' solid mount' on top helps takes out the lateral movement which previously upset traction when changing direction, and yes it gives a tinge of vibration still at around 1300-1400rpm but its aint nothing like the 2 solid mounts together. The bottom mount transfer alot more of the vibration so removing and replacing with the stock mount shouldnt present any issues.
Didn't use thread lock on the bottom bolt, thanks for the heads up. My bolt was still tight as after 3000km and a trackday, I used a 20inch breaker bar and probably put over 100lbs on it.
Didn't use threadlocker but torqued enough and monitored the bolts too
havent mounted them yet, still waiting for my skunk2 coils b4 they go on.
Guys,
intending to powder coat my Gram Lights. The gunmetal/polished finish is getting boring.
Please VOTE:
A> TAKATA GREEN
B> MORPHEUS PURPLE
I'm inclining towards B...fav color PLUS I think it offsets the silver better.
Here's a current pic:

Hoping to get all 4 wheels done for around $100 each
ew dont do green on a silver car lol....
purple!
neither!! sorry. lol
I say go purple.
Since we are talking about wheels, I need suggestions for my BBS RS theme. Was thinking of ceramic polishing the centres finely to get a full mirror polish look, and electro plating the waffle plates to compliment the gold bolts i will be getting. Here is a picture which shows what I'm going for. What do you guys think? Suggestions?

Ya need to dump first !! looks like a Rav4 ..lol
Silver cars look best with black
that's the whole point ;) stealth mode mang
Might as well sport hub caps man
LMAO!! hey im rocking on steelies!!!
something special is happening next week with my car ;D will keep updated when its done
;)
ahah imo white wheels are the best, love them even though they get dirty easily
I like white cars with white wheels <3
Had a lowbeam headlight blow the other day.
The lowbeams are hb4 (9006) bulbs, and theyre stock 55w.
I remembered reading a while back that the hb3 size (9005), which our highbeams use and stock 65w and the fitting is only slightly different.
Bought a pair today of Philips X-tremeVision in HB3 and trimmed and installed them during lunch.
Looking forward to see if there's a noticeable improvement in light over standard. Reflector headlight are so shit.
Duffy I'm keen on your feedback on these, I've been wanting to upgrade my lows for ages as I do a shit load of night time rural back roads and diff between highs and lows is huge.
would you guys say these coils are good?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....ht_1243wt_1163
i dont know much about the spring rate and so on
never heard of them, sound a bit cheap mate, why not hit the boys at BYP for a set of Gabs if your on a budget, atleast if you have any problems you'll get support.
1000$ for new coilovers? save abit more and get J's or BC ones.
are they less than 1.5k? im on a tight budget so yeah
999 Automotive quoted me $1350 for Buddy Club N Spec, Tanabe GF coils are also available for $1400 from JDM concept, both availanle from local suppliers.
How much natural camber would I expect from a 2"drop?
More with a 3". :)
groce..
doesn't matter about most of it, just that u usually end up with shocks that can't adjust much even though they offer '32 clicks' or whatever (like BC/HSD etc)
i'd suggest getting a good brand of shocks like koni/bilstein/kyp and coilover sleeves if you're insistent on height adjustability
that way you don't get that 'fullysick coilys' tax - my koni shocks have lasted 100k and still provide really good bump control, somethign you'll never get from any cheap coils
hey guys got my kit installed and waiting to install my brake lamp ;)

Repiped intake last night. Got rid of the pod SRI.
This is a now legal setup - one less thing to be defected on
Hi Duffy is that the universal CF Simota intake? Any noticeable power gains like the Injen CAI? How does it sound?
Intakes are bullshit on our cars. Theyre bullshit on most non turbo cars. Just for looks mainly and sound. You wont gain much at all from an intake.
R u srs?
wheels are finally on ;D

Hi guys im new to the whole car scene just got a 07 Civic sport today, im hoping to install a mugen lip kit so just wondering where you guys got yours?
Ive found Shift Performance they have kits made in ABS and some people recommended me to get kits in PU so...is there a big difference between ABS and PU kits?
should have bought my car =[
@black8thgen lol i saw your car on carsales but i kinda wanted to do some of the mods by myself...
@DuffyFD thanks for the tip!
I need some daily wheels.... Anyone got some for sale?
daily? want some steelies ;)
areis call me I have 16s with tyres you can use.
an intake with a tune will yield some result... it's just hard to justify the cost of doing such a thing
