Torque steer in a EP3? HAHAHA yeah, drive a 2010 MPS then, I had one, that thing was mental but much prefer the EP3. The MPS didn't feel like you were driving it, felt disconnected

Do the non jdm dc5 pads fit the ep3?
Yes they do!
Do the s2000 pads fit aswell? Intrested in the stoptech street performance pads as I've read nothing but good about them, and they're well priced too! But I can't find any for the ep3 and I read somewhere that s2k pads fit?
The front are the same for EP3R and S2K [Endless Part# EP406] but the rear is different for EP3R [Endless Part# EP312]
Ah alright sweet, some reason s2k front pads are cheaper than ep3 or dc5 for the same brand
S2000 no difference between countries =)
I wish so too, but Honda GB wanted to keep the price down and Honda JP cbf putting Brembos on I guess to differentiate the DC5R and EP3R more lolz.
Should go for Endless MXRS man =D
I'm gonna try that for one of the project cars I'm working on =)
They're an improved version of the Endless MX72s which I had on my 111... One of the very best I've used =D
EDIT: Project Mu HC+ is better if you're solely looking at track... They'll much weak rotors lolz
What's people's opinion on this ep3r

I posted in a separate thread about it, but there seems to be a lot of know how in this thread also. Speedo doesn't work and SRS light is always on.
Link doesnt work dude
thanks for letting me know, just updated my post... this link should work:

I wouldn't touch it, the tailights made me vomit...
you can get that power with 2.4l,cams and extended intake pipe
Yeah, I'm sure that's minor =P
16k is pretty cheap
I agree about the tail lights. The seller bought it from someone else that apparently lived in Ingelburn.
The thing definitely doesnt need any more modding. I test drove it yesterday and it pull heaps hard, but wheel spins hard also. Kind of reminded me of launching in my mates alfa romeo147 gta.
Would it even be worth taking it to BYP to get it inspected?
Should always get any car you want to buy inspected by someone you trust, even more so if heavily modified.
what if u dun trust anyone? pretty hard for mechanics to earn anyones trust from the stories that go around

give em a call

You can use the Inspection services offered by companies like State Roads for example =)
those companies dont know the specific faults with each model. would rather someone who deals with handas to look over my handa nomsayin
lmao jims vehicle inspection trololololol
jim pls
lol cb u idiot.
stateroads one of the most detailed reports you can get. down to the paint thickness on every panel on your car.
They know a lemon when they see one. many people over at SAU use them to inspect skylines evos chasers and normal cars like camrys bmws and vws.
They got a bajillion point check. compared to the racv crap where they just say if the car is rwc or not.
Example of one of their complete reports: http://www.vehicle-inspection.com.au...ple_report.pdf
But you only use state roads on a car that your REALLY keen on you've brought someone like oscar along to see if the car seems alright as the inspection is few hundred bucks.
But can save you a headache.
ps dun hurt me, u very smart lad
wasajk
TY jonoe. will call statesroad and bring them with me next time
gona go pay a visit to gran turismo das auto soon. listed as 19k, will consider buying if thye have a mint one and will do 16 drive away
Just had another question... Do rebuilds like this need an engineering certificate?
Thanks for the info. I just texted the seller and his response text to my question of whether its been registered was:
"No it doesnt have an engineering certificate, thats why i have not had the engine number re-registered, I dont see any risk and the car can pass pink slip easily"
I then responded with, "what happens if i buy the car and want to get it re-registered?"
which was met with the following response:
"You need to spend about $500-$700 to get an engineer to write a report and use this report to change the engine number under rego. Dr Honda can pass you the engineers contact"
Thoughts?
Anyone know what the minimum brake rotor thickness before replacing is for our cars? It would be the same as the FN2 wouldn't it
Silly question I know dc5r owners buy ep3 front sway bars on their cars is to clear aftermarket headers right?, would a front sway design for a dc5r fit our ep3's?
Imo, find out exactly how much an engineering cert is going to end up costing you and ensure that it will pass with no issues before you even consider buying the car.
Or just buy a clean and relatively stock EP3 and save yourself the headache.. The fact that you've come on here and asked everyone more than once what we think of it shows your hesitation towards buying the car. Not sure why you're still considering it when theres much cleaner examples for sale.
I'm just after the knowledge and experience of the members on this board. My hesitance is more a sign of my lack of understanding in what to do and how to go about doing it. Initially I was put off by the speedo issue and the SRS issue...but when I drove it I was mind blown. Food for thought I guess. I've gotten all the information I need now. So hopefully by this weekend I will have a clearer picture on what my next car will be.
Thanks everyone for their input.
with any car in general. when i forst got on my L's my ek1 felt fast.
after awhile of driving the ep3 your butt dyno gets accustomed to the torque. people i know with other faster cars say the same about theirs as well.
i think the only situation where a car will feel fast every time you drive it no matter how long youve owned it is if its got like 500+hp or something.
not really
even high power you still want more
r35 for example
^ well there you go
applies to all cars lol.
Clearance varies with the sway bars I think, ie. the Whiteline swaybar on Australian DC5R will clear most JDM headers when set on full stiff, and would most likely be the same on EP3. But to be assured of fitment though you'd need to run an Australian or US spec header, either OEM or aftermarket. Stuff like Skunk2, SSR, ASP will fit with the Australian DC5R front sway bar.
Anyone know any mechanics who are familiar with an EP3R to do the major 100k service around Hornsby? Otherwise ill be taking it out to hannys at Smithfield but it would be good to know good Honda mechanic in Hornsby area.
Subjective, but the time is usually the same for all cars...
It's also highly dependent on the person and type of driver/owner you are... If you're simply after the adrenalin of going fast and being pushed into the back of your seat in a straight line then you'll definitely get bored of any car quick.
IXA Battle Garage, they're in Thornleigh =)
Got myself since new wheels! and a Mugen Wing is coming soon!
It's a replica, fibreglass haha its from an eBay seller called Salla400, about 450 including shipping. Apparently their fitment is pretty good, and has sold a few . The people on other forums say its a decent fit.
Hey guys just wondering if any of use have taken you EP3 down the 1/4 mile, what times are use running ? I took mine lastnight and lined my father up in his MPS 3 a few times but he couldnt launch it running low 14's lastnight but his best is a 13.7, my best time was my last run 14.093 is that any good ?? Mods :Gruppe M intake
Nitto Invo Tires 225/45R17 ran at 20PSI

is there a wire in the ecu area that gets power when the headlights are on? I'm trying to wire a glovebox and center console led light which lights up when the headlights are on
OK guys, really need some help! the first O2 sensor (engine side of cat) is on the way out. My mechanic tried to get one in, but was the wrong thing. Tried Honda, no part number for EP3. A DC5 one is $600... Has anyone got a brand and part number?
Ordered and paid for. Thanks again, over $300 cheaper!
Npz mate
Ive heard the DC5 uses wideband sensors and the EP3 uses narrow band so they are a little different? :S
oh ok lol. I've got one of those sensors on my k24, and yes its wideband
anyone know what springs these are? cant tell if ebay spec or spoon progressives
car appears to still be stock height
and is this just some custom straight through exhaust?
Hey guys,
just needed some quick information.
What exactly is a reverse lock out sensor? And what happens if you run a KPRO ECU 5 speed in an EP3? and what is the relationship between both the functionality of the reverse lock out sensor and a KPRO ECU 5 speed?
thanks.
