in all seriousness im happy the fuel price went down.. frankly i dont worry about milage / economy anymore hahah
but when i did i was getting between 420 - 480 easily.. and 500+ on longer highway trips..
but yea those 5min trips to the station, shops, video store, friends house etc = FTL..
edit - it was about 8.5-10.5km/100km - totally stock dc2r
Wow, really gotta check it ay haha.
I'll try again next week and see what km's i get.
However, in those 320km, majority was stop and go. and lots of short trips
stop using VTEC!
on a serious note, my fn2r was doing 500-550! with a few hits during the week...
in my teg dc2 vtir
i get about 45 bucks full tank with v power
about 435km .. thats with 4 litres left ...
thats with a tiny bit of vtec-ing here and dere .. but rarely ..
i never let my car get to fuel light
can i just say it would be smarter to let ur car get closer to empty and fill less, ull be pulling less weight, it may be minimal but its still a difference.
thats coming from some1 who gets 650-700 out of 40 liters :p
Recorded over 1 year I have noticed an average of 500-550km on 43-44 litres of V-power.
2000 DC2R
You are spot on.
Those that say shifting below 3k is better for economy are incorrect.
Efficiency is determined by load and throttle position.
Shifting below 3k and having WOT to get the revs up would actually chew more fuel.
As you said - stretch it out with small throttle so the motor has more momentum to keep spinning.
In saying that - I average between 400 - 500 k's per tank depending on driving style. And my fuel light doesnt work... lol
