Km's per tank? litres per 100km?

I did a search before posting this, and found a thread that had a last reply
in 2003. So thought i wouldn't bump it up and start a new one.
    Recently bought a dc2R, and running 12.5L per 100kms.
Running around 320km before light comes on using Shell V-power..

Fuel consumption feels pretty damn high! Or is it just me?
Not vtecing all day longg too

even vtecing often i get 400km from the 43 litres... once the fuel light comes on i push to 440 or 460km before pulling into a servo...

but i have a B20VTEC with PowerFC... not stock.

all youi guys can laugh at me and say what u want.......

i bought my dc2r car stock standard with pod filter and canon on stock exhaust.....

out of the stock 50litre tank from full untill the light comes on at least 500km's most of the times 550km's this is driving every day to work and back, with at least 2 - 3 hard vtec runs every day and the weekend running around cruzing/thrashing.......

then i went with avo turbo kit, although it wasnt running right and eventually making 180kw i still had very similar fuel consumption 500km's to a tank same style of dring as above.........

now the car is currently running a custome turbo kit and making 239kw and driven in the same style and manner as before and still get 480-500km's per tank before the light comes on...........

i would go to honda buy the following and change them, oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, and leads, have a mechanic to valve/tappet clearences adjusted.

how many kms on ur car????

on a simialr note, i got 620km on a trip to melbourne, but that was with me "trying" to drive as economical as possible...

lots of short trips make fuel economy suffer badly!

that may be the problem.....too much babying......lol....jokes,

dc2 is definately a 50litre tank, and once the light comes on u have 8 litres.........hence if u fill up as soon as u see the light ur only using 42litres...........

    aaaaaaahhhhhhhh LOL

i try not to let it get to the light really, and when it gets there i fill up! :-)

It gets babied in terms of maintenance :-)

I think the way i drive when just cruising is the issue... a lot of people say shift below 3k etc... i find that the car isnt very smooth to drive under those revs, so i strethc it out to 3500-4500 before i shift with small throttle openings...

    I dunno maybe
