I told them, I want this car, in arctic blue pearl, with floor mats, mud flaps and full tank of fuel. I want $33000 on the road. We negotiated until we hit $34500 when the salesperson accepted the paice. So I got everything for $34500 out of my pocket.Quote:

note that they will always say "lets negotiate accessories later coz its different division etc etc" Then they will try to negotiate the price of your car, and after you agree with the car then they will try to raise the accessories price afterwards...
do what aarongg said, just say "I want this car with these accessories for this price" then start negotiating... the down side of this is that they might be reluctant to throw any free accessories afterwards
Yeah, they can add in any accessories that you want at that salesperson negotiation stage, even paint protection. The excuse that another section handles it and they can't add it in is not true.
Try to get all accessories that you need during the sales stage as after the sales process has concluded you'll lose any negotiation power you have and be at the mercy of the accessories sales person.
So plan what you need and put them on the list and work out a price that you're willing to pay for the car plus accessories less discount.
Dealer's separated the sales / accessories to max out their profits I think may years ago the distinction between the two is not that clear but now it is for this very reason.
After you get your accessories just skip the accessories dept altogether on your way out! :D
The main problem is that the accessories pricelist in the new car showroom is dearer than if you go to Honda spares and buy them even with no discount.:thumbdwn:.I always negotiate the new car price with no options at all.Quote:

Maybe even 34K. But he seemed like there he wasnt going to budge to much from that 38k. Im going back there this weekend. I tried 3 Honda dealers here in Syd and they all gave me the same price.
i doubt u will get 35k. its telling u sumthing if u have tried 3 dealers and they are all giving u the same price.
and to the other bloke who said try and get a few grand less if its an 08 built car.....all the euros are 08 built and 09 complied. u cant get a car built in 09 yet.

Damn right - when I bought my Euro in 03 - bastards left me very little fuel so the first thing I did straight off the dealership showroom was to fill up full tank which cost me $60 back then.Quote:
