hey sorry to blow in but would i be able to tune my stock ECU??
after reading alot of other opinions there seems to be mixed feelings about the greddy emanage.
i've spoken to both TODA and DYNO DAVE regarding the hondata s100
its way over $1000 but they both seem confident they can hondata my car, they also seem confident with tuning the unit so im assured the car should run well
the prices are only $100 or so difference between each other so i guess it will come down to who ever is free on the day
update...
hondata is not possible on the D16Y4... due to wiring issues with the motors harness
might have to do a d16y8 conversion if i want hondata...
i told u that from the start, ur engine loom is the black sheep and has only 2 plugs. Believe me, the emanage is the best choice for your budget and car.
yep but the problem was with the injectors
the d16y4 wiring diagram is like injector 1 and 4 together, and injector 2 and 3 together.
it can be done but wont be reliable.
why do i bother....
zooom zoom zooom we go see the tuner later if its not busy here at work..
I have seen conversion harnesses for OBD2a to OBD1. Are the hondata ECUs OBD1? If you use one of these harnesses can you then use/tune the hondata ECUs to work properly with the d16y4 existing wiring?
nope cannot do because Australian EK cxi/gli with the d16y4 are the only hondas to come out with the this type of wiring harness i have. its not like an obd1 or obd2 plug
Make your own harness. Simple
Done and car is now running P06 ECU with S series Hondata.Very big job and have learnt heaps about doing them and the next one will be very easy.
