talking about making them 'come together' i've heard from a mate that he knows someone bringing an EK9 in and then getting a wrecked EK vin number and somehow transferring the number... altho i'm not sure if it will work or how the actuall process is done but sounds like a quick way to own an EK9 ;)
feel free to correct me about this... its just what i heard from a mate :)

wasnt that hard
I like the EK9 a lot, even though technically not as fast as a dc2r they are a lot rarer in this country and being a classic hero civic much more of a cult car than any integras will ever be.
I'm looking into getting a fren in the UK or HK to buy and own one for a year and then bring over to Aust as a personal import. There are plenty of them in the UK that has been imported from Japan as used car in the last few years and likewise in HK. They are around HK$80K and $7-8K UK pound for a decent, unmodified 1997/8 model.
I did consider building a EK9 replica by buying a EK4 and a EK9 wreck and transfer everything over, but cost of labour involved, and cost of full prooer respray in say champsionship white or yellow would be huge, and structural reinforcements on the body itself would be too difficult to duplicate. Worst of all not matter how good the conversion/replication work is, the VIN no you would never change legally and the car will always remain as a EK4 with the EK9 add ons.
hmmm if you wanted a type R engine in a civic you can just get an engine from a DC2 Type R and put it in an EK4.. might be some work though.. plus it wont actually be a total CTR.. but it'd be fun won't it
