lol.. im not master.. im just rookie on this.. =)
Nah Wayne my kit is the Kaixen one which is made in Korea. I got it from LiquidSound, one of the traders on here. I'll upload a pic of the kit which some1 else has taken:

huh? where is the socket connected to the car harness?
But then nothing connects to the car. I thought that blue one connects to the car? Then how do the bulbs know when I've turned on the headlights?
What do you mean by the harness?
hey man since ur in perth do you want me to meet up and sus it out? i have HIDs on mine and everything is just plug and play. if you live close just come over and i'll help you out.
it should fit fine ganj... i remembered it was a tight fit when connecting the HID cables from the ballasts to the car's headlight cable.. u really need to push it in, but no troubles overall... HB4 (9006 low beam) HID's should fit in
i also did the HB3 (9005 high beam) HID's as well
Yeh I tried pushing it in but I don't hear a click which I hear when I put the stock halogen lights in. The pins on the socket which connect to the car socket are too narrow so it wont go in
try turning it around back-to-front and connecting it again.. if no good, then would try to use pliers gently to move apart the metal connectors from the ballasts, it maybe could be bent in and so move it so that it may fit into the car headlight cable.
after u fit it in.. did u try out by on ur headlights? lol..
Yeah I did but no cable connects the HIDs to the car coz I cant fit that blue socket into teh white one from the car so the HIDs wont turn on. Ill try bending the pins outward like Johnny said and see how it goes
my right lowbeam kaixen HID gave out... god damn it ><
think its the ballest thats not working.. get it checked out later
^ how'd they give out? Do the HID's just turn off randomly and then start up again? or just not light up at all? Maybe the bulb burst? maybe the ballast bailed on u... heaps of possibilities :(

the right HID dont turn on at all
think its the ballast thats gone out... coz i dont hear the electric noise once its on like on the lefthand side
had em on for lik a year
ok update
the HID bulbs work, ive switched the right and left bulbs around and so bulbs work fine
i then change the right HID bulb with the stock 9006 HB4 bulb and it still doesnt light up.. so probably the right ballest is working fine
i even then changed the fuses for the lights and still no go
all lights work, parkers, high beam and left low beam work.. only exception is the right low beam
so conclusion is that the wire is fcuked and next step is auto electrician... bummer
any further ideas??
waitwait, you didn't put the stock bulb into the ballast did you..?! :S
Try remove the ballast and visually examine it...
You coulda melted a harness or sometihng... ru running 35W?
get the problem checked by the auto electrician $...
labour and parts $$...
your time and other associated costs of getting the wire fixed $$$
I know its a Kaixen Kit.... however, i rekn you should buy yourself a new HID Kit set (approx $100 these days). And you can leave the existing left side as a spare for next time when it happens.... touchwood.... hope not.
no curtis, i did not put the stock bulb to the ballest..
i disconnected the HID bulb and reconnect the wire to stock bulb.. still doesnt light up
ballest itself looks fine
so problem may be the wire itself

I installed the Kaixen HID set a year ago
and recently it started to have problems
sometimes it went on but sometimes it didn't
now it's completely gone, never on anymore
i'm just wondering if it's the ballast problem or i've burnt the light bulb?
and if it does can i just change the light bulb without buying another kit??
how long usually can the light bulb last? I heard someone saying that HID usually can last longer than halogen bulbs, is that true?
it took me quite a while to install it.... our FD has a fully packed hood...
just don't wanna do it all over again
johnny maybe we should exchange our left and right kit...
since my right one's working and so does your left... haha

my left HID went back on last night

hmmm, maybe just double check all the connections are ok and not touching anything that they're not suppose to be.
Also, check all the earthing is properly connected too.
Could also be a faulty T10 bulb, my last one died pretty quick (about 3 months) but the one's i've got now are still good.

check ALL fuse since ur RHD low beam still is ok, how about other electrical bits that passes there?
so check ALL fuses by using a test light

Planning to purchase HIDs in the next few weeks.
Currently have LEDs for my parkers that kinda produce the same output as HIDs.
However, my fog lights are still very yellow and I was wondering whether I should get LEDs for my foglights to match with the rest? Is this a bad idea?
Found a couple on eBay but I'm not sure how they are.

Get LED parkers to get the colour, get HID LB's for colour and then get HID's in ur fogs too... LED's would mean that u render ur foglights completely useless
Yeah I recommend 6000k low beams (HB4/9006) and 6000k (H11) foglight bulbs ;)

Where did you guys mount the ballast for the fogs? I haven't actually gone down there to look yet :)
I'm yet to figure out where to mount those too...probably higher up in the bumper somewhere

yeh.. its sometimes a hassle taking off the front bumper but it makes modifications to the front area much easier as you have more room to work around in... the civic engine bay is soo compact its annoying

Are your parkers just normal T10 'xenon' LEDs?
lol just get white LED's...
Thse parkers aren't necessarily bright, the camera could have overexposed them. U can't ever use a photo to judge brightness/glare
these are just T10 LED... not xenon dont think
Just bought a set of T10 and Festoon LEDs for inside and out. Also H11 HID kit for the fogs ;)

I got the H11 kit for $56 bucks lol from eBay. Slim ballasts!
Oh yeah I chose 6000k to match my low beams...but I should've got a set of 8000k bulbs instead :(

Do HID's draw current from your car when it is not in use?
I'm asking this because after installing my fog light HIDs yesterday the battery seems to have died overnight.
All I did was take out the factory bulbs and replace the connectors with the HID ones. I'm pretty sure they have a built in relay

Guys, anyone have trouble getting their bulb in properly? I've just left mine like this for ages, anyone reckon it might help with glare and all that if i turn it in fully? It just won't seem to turn any further..
