u may also want to get some thinner tyres on the rears and roll ur guards. that can help with scrubbing.

will 18x9.5 +30 work? lol... im really waiting on ekdez to fit his 20x9.5 +30 wheels on his car to see if it can be pulled off, before i get a new set of wheels. thinking of running them on 225/40 or maybe 215/40s.. also need a camber kit to tuck the wheels in. anyone know what camber kit will allow me enough negative camber? i don't think the skunk2 ones will do it
9.5+30 all round?
try spc rear camber kit, the bushings are better than the skunk2
Tyre Question
hey guys would these fit on my ep3?
Enkei NT03 black
17x9 +35
17x8 +38
my guards have been rolled and car is lowered by 30mm if that helps....
thanks
awww thought so, thanks for quick reply mate. I so wanted these enkei's that were going for good price here....
maybe u can try it on and let us know.
Agree'd =)
should i put the 17x9 at the front or rear? yeah i think ill get a test fit
hey guys... will 17x8 +42 have any issues on a fd1/2? car is on coils + rear camber kit..
and can u use original nuts or do u hav to use aftermarket e.g. rays or wk nuts?
thanks
balling! :)
18x8 +35 on an fd guys? got coils, but i suspect that wont be an issue, would just be the scrubbing hey? will i need to roll my guards? i'd prob stretch 215/40/18 over them to be safe
how does this look =D
or dump more lol

lower! tuck rim!
lol did u have a lot of weight in the back? front looks pretty high still. go lower! have them sitting just above rim
Hey Stig Question, how would 18x8.0 on my FD1 VTI go?
what offset are you looking at?
+35 +37 ish ? Lol
slap some 215/40/18 and you should be right, might need to roll your guards depending how low you go
how about 8.5 width? what you think?
on what suspension are you planning to use now/future?
I'm Just thinking King Springs for now, Coils Maybe in the future. Ill most prolly get the wheels on an 8 width. just needed an opinion on the 8.5 is all..
Don't think ill go too low, don't really wanna roll my guards. But ill def go for 18s =]
8.5 +35 or +37 should be alright. like stig said, stretch some 215s over the wheels and there shouldnt be too much hassle. at the most, u may need to lip ur guards
on a 8" you could even go a 205/40 if they make them.. :D
what about an offset of 45?
8.5 you would need like a very low 30's to high 20's offset if you plan to run coils in the future, rolled guards and uber stretched tyres
8.5" +35 and +38 will work with coils. had that as my last set up. anyone know much about megan racing camber kits? how do they compare with spc and skunk2?
alright here's what I decided
18"x8 +45
will I still need to roll my guards?
If not ill just go 17 Lool
aww. nah 8" +45 is perfectly safe. they will fit inside ur guards with the proper size tyres without guard rolling or pretty much any extra adjustment. they're safe for coils and springs. but they they're not as badass as running some low offset and stretch :P
+45 is the worst offset ever. you will regret it
at least get 40 or under
on springs they should fit fine. if u wanna be uber safe with fitment, +45 will do. as long as the width doesnt exceed 8" inner clearance is ok.
im looking at some 18x9 +30 next up on some 215/40 tyres. will there be a definite need for a camber kit to avoid rubbing?
at the fronts yes lol (only when you hit bumps on the road it will scrub at 1 finger gap)
had an 8+38 at the front and that was scrubbing, cambered the shit outta it and now the 9+38 only scrubs when i turn hard
ive got those camber thingos at the top of the front perches on my coils. will they be sufficient? 18x9 +30 seems a bit more aggressive than most people on here and im not sure if i will need a rear camber kit. should i go 205/40 or will 215/40 tyres stretched on, be ok?
Guys, I'm thinking of getting new shoes soon but not to sure whether the size and offset will work on a stock height. Could some confirm whether 20" x 8.5 (et +35) and wrapped with 225/30/20 will fit on a FN2R without any problems?
Currently, I have a set of 20" x 8 (et.+38) with the same tyre profiles as above and there isn't any rubbing and I haven't done any work on the guard at all.
Would the new set of shoes require guard modification or could I get away with it.
cheers
Wow. 20s on an fn2r! What type of wheels are u thinking of?
I've had 19x8.5 +35 on my FN2 with 235/35 tyres
No scrubing
bodaas' car? what happened to him? lol
Can I run 17x9 rears without modification on my fd?
what offset though
38 offset
lowered? if so you might need to roll your guards
so.
im gonna put my 18x9's on the front and 18x8's on the back this arvo.
does the wider rims up front make it more heavy to turn???
thinking of 17x8.5 +30 on 205/40/17 OR 17x9 +35 on 215/40/17
so far guards have been rolled and im on coils.
how bad will those set ups be on scrubbing? u rkn i can carry a passenger or two in the back lol?
which would be the most preferable for the minimalist amount of headache?
17x8.5 +30 on 205/40/17 will give you least headache
18x9's on the back of mine and i cant have anyone in the back seats. guards rolled too.
maybe ill look for just some 8" wide wheels... 17x8 +35.
does anyone have experience with 8.5" wide with +30 offset and 205 wide tyres?
but i only have pedder springs that are pretty soft.
maybe coils will help? camber kit?
fashion never function anyway!! lol
Anyone running 225 R17 +35 offset?
If I do wheels first ad coils later will I need to roll my guards ?
im now on 215/40/17 tyres on a 17x9 +35 rim with a mild guard roll and dropped on coils. no scrubbing.
anyone selling their stock fn2 rims.. i need them for my fd1 civic... just want a very stocky look and just drop the car.
If ur just gonna drop it with lowering springs, then they should be fine. but the fn2r wheels wont fit ur fd1 if ur gonna lower ur car with coilovers. u'd need spacers for em
What tyres do you guys recommend for stock EP3 Wheels?
Hey guys, how would 18x9.5 and 18x8.5 with + 20 go on the fd? Ive looked around, but no one seems to have put on these specs. Cheers
9.5+22 is doable on the front imo with -4 ish camber
bags make everything easier
-4 camber?? wouldnt that like camber the hell out of the tyres?
small price to pay to be hella flush yo
LOL fair enough.
also make sure u stretch them tyres! 205/40 on the 8.5" and 215/40 on the 9.5"
test fitted my new wheels today: BBS mesh 16x7.5 +24, 205/55/16

^ dam, that might be a pain when you lower it, looks nice though. Should go lower profile when you change your tyres next =P
you need to dump it and camber it in. was there a reason why you got 16" rims as opposed to 17 ?
yeah tyres need changing, current tyres have some slight cracking between the tread, was planning to order some 195/45 or 205/45's all round
true... needs more low! I should be ordering coilovers this week.
reason for the 16's? coz they only cost me $270, plus I already have set of 17x9's
Fair enough. 195 is going to be major stretch lol.
niceee ! better post moar pics after coilovers installed :)
Hey guys, Id really love some input on the question of:
Will 17x9 + 35 with 235/40/17 have any fitment issues on stock suspension?
For those of you don't know me, here's my intro thread:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...seas-Acura-CSX!
you might experience your inner rear plastic lining scrubbing off but apart from that i dont see why it wouldnt work, love the rear bar btw!
Hmmmm plastic lining.. is that the fender lining?
Would that be a hazard in the winter as in a potential area for rust because theres no lining anymore?
Rear bar = mugen rear lip??
nah not the fender lining, if you take your rear wheels off, its the plastic lining on the left rear wheel i believe, that covers your fuel tank line
Are you referring to this?
http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/n.../myproblem.jpg
lol yeah that, no biggy though unless you are fussed about it being there
Hmmm... what could be a quick fix to this problem?
Would it possess a long term risk if I left it riding in the x9 for a month and then having the ripped lining last through winter?
