I'm happy to post what I paid and all, but I'm not sure if that kinda info breaks the forums rules and all??
Nope, it's fine. Look at the threads in the Jazz forum and here asking if anyone got a good deal today when the sale was on.
BTW, were you the one on whirlpool asking for help re; Euro vs 6?
Nope, that wasn't me.
I paid $45,000 for a Luxury Navi in Crystal Black, got the fitted floor mats thrown in the deal as well. Am happy with what I paid but am kinda keen to hear what you guys think of the deal as well?
Here's the deal someone else got:
HONDA ACCORD EURO LUXURY NAV 2012
- WHITE PREMIUM (METALLIC)
- Protection Package (Exterior and Interior)
- Tint
- Cargo Mat
- Mat Set
- Boot Lip Protector
- Ducktail rear spoiler
- 4 x piece weather shields
- Interior accent light
- Sports Pedal Set
- Headlight and Bonnet Protectors
- Door Seal Garnish
- An extended warranty (4 years manufacturer warranty)
For 47.5k drive away.
I'm not so sure if the accessories are worth 2.5k though?
As far as I can tell, they got a few extra protection kinda things than what I got. Personally, I wouldn't want to pay the extra 2500 to get what they got.. But If they're happy that good on them, I'm happy with what I got and they should be with what they got.
I know the extended warranty with full 5yr roadside assist cost 750 to 800 normally.. ducktail rear spoiler cost 500 in most places, some dealer charge 800 something.
tint they normally give it free with the car.. i dont think they worth extra 2500 for it.. i think Macus got a good deal..
I got a list of extras and pricing to add, but there is really nothing I'd like to add to the Euro Navi. I'm a little interested too see if you guys think that I got a deal or not.
OMG Marcus, you wont know yourself in the top of the range Euro after the Lancer...which was so bland and boring looking,at least the new shape in sedan form is a massive improvement...but I was never a Mitsubishi fan, although their cars are probably very reliable ???
I think you got a good deal, which state are you in ???
I found in Melbourne the deals varied from dealer to dealer...
The car was super reliable, never had an issue in the 5 years that I owned it. I got over that car really quickly though but had to stick it out till my finance was up so I could move on.
I'm near Wollongong, NSW which is just over an hour south of Sydney.
Yes,the White Pearl IS metallic, lovely colour.
Just a little update, spoke to the dealer this afternoon and the car is in transport. After a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong weekend I should see it mid week!
I haven't seen the new blue yet, there is a white and silver one there now though. I had to wait a bit longer cause I wanted black. Ah well, good things come to those that wait!
I am keen to see the new Grey, and new Silver.
The Black,White, and Red are the same colours as before.
I think ALL the previous colours looked good,am sure all the new ones will look just as good.
Picking up the car Wednesday afternoon.... Getting excited!
I am sure you are getting VERY excited.
I popped into a local Honda dealership today, and the NEW Euro is VERY similar to the MY11 models, only a Honda enthusiast would spot the changes.
Even the new Grey and Silver are almost identical...the biggest change is from Navy to light metallic Blue.
It was a shame to see the Navy Blue go, I always liked that colour on the CU2s.
And you're right, the changes are only very small and you would probably only notice them if you knew what too look for. Man I can't wait to get this thing home and start working out all the features hahahaha.
Any car companies won't change black, red and white color for sure even 100yrs goes..
ah ok.. but silver change for all companies
Yes,there are MANY diffirent shades of Silver.
I agree, the Buran Silver was a little bit diffirent...
How much did you all pay for your new 2012 Accord Euro? Went to ask about the new Accord for the standard model at Parramatta, the drive away price is around $33,000. I didnt ask for anything else because in a hurry, I'll look for more next weekend.
Woah, I let this thread slip my mind..
I picked up my car on Wednesday and I am in love! This car is everything I expected and more. Still getting used to learning how to work everything, but I am loving it the more I learn how to use everything.
Pics :)
So cu2 has arrived??? Oakliegh G&W Honda had the cu2 euro has their car of the week LOL
I haven't had the chance to grab some pics just yet, today was the first day I actually had some time to sit down and go through everything then go for a nice drive. I'll get some up asap.
So, Test drove the MY12 Euro last sunday,
My opinion: The first thing we noticed was a definite improvement in the the steering feel, more precise and lighter.
Sales rep claimed the gear ratios had been tweaked, as has the suspension. Couldnt discern a difference.
Also niose levels were supposed to be lower (not that the pre-facelift ones were noisy), this seemed the same to us (wifey was with me)
The car felt 'lighter' overall and more responsive, on discussing this with the rep, it could be due to the fact that we test drove the base version and we own the L variant about a 100kg difference (as per the rep). Definitely more fun to drive.
Inside, bluetooth (which we did'nt test) and the USB connectivity, is pretty much all thats new. The USB bit, definitley a useful addition.
Looks, good, cant say its better, but good.
Overall still a great car, that just got better. Happy driving :-)
I'll be taking some pics and updating over the weekend after I give the car it's first wash hahaha..
Gonna sus out getting the windows tinted as dark as I legally can, then look into putting some new wheels on this thing.

Its true Honda has reduced the normal rrp driveaway price for the facelifted model compare with the prefacelift model. not sure the prices are only for limted time or permanently.

Yeap i noticed Audi A4 1.8 Auto/cvt is 55k driveaway, however i dont think its punchy as the Euro but audi holds the prestige value like BMW and Merc. ]

nice car mate, just keeps getting better!
thats nice as, i love the chrome strip at the rear, gives it that classy look :) should get those windows tinted :)
Thanks guys!
I'm actually going to the window tint shop tomorrow to get a quote and book it in. Going for the darkest I can get legally.
was at honda dealer today to install type s paddle shifters for my cu2....saw 3 facelift models ready to be picked up and they were all black...
2 were the luxury nav model and 1 was the luxury model. One of the luxury nav model had the full modulo kit on it and that was really nice looking...however still could not get over the chrome strip and the new rear tail lights...and the front grille reminds me of the normal accord grille a bit....
Stunning,stunning,stunning...and look how awesome the clean alloys look.
You must be in love.
Thanks Antony, I most certainly am!
I do love the look of the car how it is. I'm not in any sort of rush to change the wheels out.. Maybe sometime in the future I'll think about it some more.
One thing I'm surprised with is the stereo in the car. I was always reading that people seemed to hate the stereo so I had plans to change it out when I got it but after tweaking some settings I'm more than happy with it. And being able to connect my USB drive with 32gigs of my music just tops it off nicely.
I was planning on going to the window tinters today but turns out they are only opened M-F so I'll give em a buzz tomorrow.
Tinted windows will look good,I have not had mine done,as am too neurotic that when they remove the door panels,it might create rattles.
But have a chat to them, and see what they suggest, and let us know what you deceide.
How are the Bi-Xenons?
Is that stripe a DRL?
sweet car! congrats
The Bi-Xenons are fantastic. The stripe isn't DRL's, they come on when the parking lights come on though.
And thanks Rudy!!
Car is getting tinted all round with the darkest legal tint tomorrow which is 35%. Will set me back $240 with a 10 year warranty. I'll get some photos up when it's done.
Fantastic pics, congratulations again and happy driving :-)
I like this CU2 better than pre-facelift...but I still can't help thinking that it looks like a falcon from an angle and that the CL9 still looks better :P
Perhaps if it ever gets the 3.5 V6 to offset the weight I'll consider it (not likely since that would be Honda shooting themselves in the foot)!
I did like the pre-face lift CU2 before I saw this one in the flesh. I loved the huge grill on the preface lift but as soon as I saw this I fell for it straight away. I was actually thinking on the drive home from work this afternoon I wonder if they'd ever put the 3.5L V6 in one of these? A bit of a pipe dream but I'm still hoping that we may get the Accord Coupe down under though!
Got the windows tinted today and it's improved the look of the car greatly. I tried to get photos under the same conditions and times as the originals to show the darkness, but it def looks a lot darker in the photos than in real life.

http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/q...9/PICT1615.jpg
The flash went off in these photos so I'm guessing it was a little darker.
I can't understand why some installers cut around the rear window stoplight, while other installers do the complete rear window
Wow Wow Wee Wah. Your car is very nice!!!!!! I like.
The Accord Euro is sold in America,Canada, and Mexico with the 3.5 V6,where it is called the Acura TSX.
This platform is also sold in Europe with a 2.2 diesel, and globally as a station wagon.
I recently saw them in South Africa, and they are super sexy.
I know ,but Honda should drop the daggy Grandpa Accord, and focus more on the Euro...
I also think honda should put 18inch alloy standard for accord euro standard model as well, nt only for lux model. I noticed for our base model euro the 17inch wheel looks smaller when you look from distance and the correct size wheel for the cu2 wheel base is 18inch alloy i rekon..
In South Africa most of the Euros come with the 17 inch wheels, even the wagon versions.I think that alloy wheel is most commonly used worldwide.
No they aren't LEDs they're just like normal lights. I'll try and snap a pic tomorrow/weekend for ya.
Audi is a great car, but service cost may be high. One dude in OZaudi forum mention after having the car for 3yrs, its 55k service cost 1800.. he was asking people is it worth keep the car for another couple of years as anotehr prone problem they mention in A4 is the CVT transmission..
May be Lexus IS250 can haggle to get same 55k driveaway with V6 engine but service and maintanance cost are much cheaper than german cars iheard..
Audi is excellent, but service costs, and general maintenance is high.
STAY AWAY is my honest advice.
Yeah but remember if its a european brand, its automatically high :)
i remember my cousin audi a4 06 model cost over 1k for maintenance already =="
yeah i was surprised but this happened like 5years ago at 1k time for them to boost their service cost. Oh i dont think there was any parts.
end of dicussion about euro cars servicing LOL LOL
my friend mini cooper sounds so shit because he service it at asian mechanics in sunshine and st albans, when i compare to other minis. So i presume the bmw service centres for mini in a different way?
All european cars should be service at their dealership otherwise big bills..
For honda Cu2 what would be the max service cost be? I don't think honda would charge more than 800 for service cost? How much honda charge normally for the 50k service?
