It's a 50L tank charlie.
I pushed mine this week to 462KM, filled up 45L.
10.2L p/100KM!!
I think I need to take a vacation from the redline for a week :P

Hahah bro no point going redline on the B18B. When did your fuel light come on? Petrol price has dropped! Not driving for a week paid off lol i saved like $5 :D spent it on injector cleaner instead
Plenty of point! The sound and it keeps me above 5k when I shift up.
My low fuel light comes on at roughly 350. But I can easily get another 100 after that, around town driving.
I covered up my pod so there isn't the induction noise anymore. Good fuel saving technique :D
I'm getting similar fuel economy to you, aren't you concerned that it is too high? Should be like 8-9l/100 at most
How much you guys get from an EG vti manual?
I know the reason im getting much more mileage that you guys.
its gonna sound silly pointless and slightly defectable but you would get 150+ a tank.
go to an exhaust shop and tell them to make you an axelback straight through with a hotdog resinator instead of a muffler.
because the standard muffler is soo restrictive you lose power.
but doing this you will have minimal torque gain but more high end...and i give my car quite a bit everyday....4krpm here 5k there. somtimes 7.2k but im getting more than you guys when being concervative and im not trying.
when i do shift at 2-3.5k i would get around town about 550kms. highway close to 750kms....
btw sorry about spelling mistakes.
How much it cost ya for a straight through with hotdog? And is it loud?
yehh its quite loud mate!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhnG67cmyn8
mines the maroon dc4 thats loud with kinda whistle to the exhaust note!
and i got mine mates rates for $100 but it would probs cost like $175 and its kinda hard to get someone who would actually do it
^lool watched the whole 5 minutes and saw your car about 2 times... i couldn't isolate which sound was yours but i'm guessing it was the one that sounded like a bee.
Also... how do people get good mileage on freeway? Maintaining a speed of 100 keeps the revs at 2700... it drained my fuel bad
590kms with spirited driving/mostly freeway driving.
From full tank to fuel light
When you shift? It's auto?
I get roughly 480-540 km's / 50L tank (usually run it down to about 7 litres), spirited driving
Most I've ever had was 623km's, some freeway, some heavy footed driving around town. hoping to crack 650 next time i try but its soooo hard
Muffler...hotdog...are they so different? lol
Hotdog or 'mid-muffler' as some people call it. I thought it was the same thing almost, except that the rear muffler is supposed to be somewhat more aesthetic and made for tone/sound quality.
up to 650km high driving
usually around 400-450 suburban driving with alot of hooning
pretty happy with that, pretty much the same fuel economy as the b18
ive got a Hotdog exhaust, its not LOUD LOUD, but it does the job with its loudness. i dont know how many DB's it would be though. still legal since never pull over i guess.
Integra GSI 97' get up to ~510km's to a full tank of fuel (50L), mainly suburban. anyone else roughly get the same?
really taking it easy, hardly any hard take offs.
fuel usually safeway (woolworths) 91 octane petrol.
only mod/s is a pod filter and a 'Hotdog' exhaust (from what i hear its called).
jdm k20a with k-sport header, custom 3'' SS catback, short ram intake with blox filter, rbc IM, 70mm TB, k-pro+ tune
2000 DC2R gets about 500kms per tank, depends on driving style though as well as highway/city driving etc.
Using Shell 98 petrol as well
400kms mainly city driving, b18c EH sedan with skunk2 IM and SRI pod filter :(
600-650km per tank combined DC5S....Assuming I could get another 80 or so km's as 600 roughly is when the fuel light comes on....Only ever let it get to orange light once and that was last week
350 ??? ..u serious ??? wow man my dc2 can go about 500 to almost 550km on a full tank no joke. im always filling her up with v power and using oem oil. really pays off when u think about it.
i filled up today,
350kms from 34l
around town driving in the country town im from, heavy foot.
i drove to canberra on one tank of fuel and back on one tank of fuel, which is about 600kms each way, thats with me & 1 passenger, boot full of luggage, back seat with 4 spare wheels and tools and oils. that was with a reasonably heavy foot and twistys involved aswell
How much it cost to replace o2 sensor and where at? I get round 11-12 per 100 granny driving... changed a lot of things but problem hasnt solved.
$310 for o2 sensor from jdmconcept... what the ****
dunno how people are getting less than 500 to a tank, my b18b used to do about 550-600 with a p plater foot, 550 without highway, with highway 600+
B18B?
http://www.densoproducts.com/results...umber=234-4011
ebay it i got mine for $90 shipped. denso too as honda uses them for their oem parts
oem for dc2r is NTK i believe ^
if o2 sensor is gone shouldnt a dash light come up anyway?
My o2 sensor peaced out and i got no engine light, just shit fuel econmy
lol true haha
i guess if it died all together, the engine light will stay on, but our o2 sensor mustve been like real slow to respond to how much fuel it should be mixing with ect lol
next time ill go for a wideband o2sensor
Should i fork out and just change it? Fuel light comes on like 330km on granny driving and <300 going a bit harder. Definetely some shit wrong ye? Thermo is changed, spark plugs, serviced etc
Changing the sensor an easy DIY job? I've just got a standard toolset and jack/stands
^
easy to do, unhook the negative battery terminal, jack your car up at the front and you will see it on your headers, bout 20cm away from where the CAT is. then just get a spanner (prbz 24mm one. just a guess)
unhook the old one, you will see its clipped on. then clip the new one and ur laughing.
reconnect your negative terminal and let the car idle so the ecu adjusts. then your set
Ahh not bad i'll just do it then.
This is the cheapest well branded one i can find. Pretty sure it fits but can someone confirm for me? USA dont use the same frickin engine numbers as us and call honda ACURA!
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DENSO-Par...8#ht_833wt_932
and is this look like straight plug?
yeh i got it from that seller 100% plug and play
i just checked my old one for you, its exactly the same plug and everythinh
Thanks guys, appreciate it. I'll order it and have a go at replacing. Hope that on it's way from the US it doesn't get banged around and broken by the time it reaches my doorstep :)
b18c2 in a civic eg hatch
i'm getting 400kms mainly city driving for about 35L - granny driving
370km with the occasional vtec
i always shift at 2.5/3
what you guys reckon? decent or nah?
engine light saying i got a problem with my o2 sensor aswell (might give it a go after reading how easy it is :)
anyone happen to have the part number for a front integra vti-r o2 sensor?
Hope this helps somewhat
http://www.densoproducts.com/results...umber=234-4011
lol ive seen that too
The americans got different labels and names and stuff to us. What you know as VTi-R is called GSR and the B18C2 is called B18C1. Same as the integra GSi is called LS and B18B2 is B18B1
My o2 sensor arrived and i attempted to change it today... fuarkk what size spanner is it? my toolset only went up to 19mm and tried vice grips but no luck. had to re-clip it and leave it. forgot to disconnect battery before as well. it's on pretty tight, any suggestions? can i spray wd40 on that area?
A shifter, wrench, spanner or whatever you call it
http://megacheaphardware.com.au/imag...%20SHIFTER.jpg
Jack the car up all the way, and get comphy. Then give it one good hit lol, thats all it needs.
It's just stuck with the Rain, exhaust heat, dirt, rain and so on.
I remember doing mine, I went all out then finally I got it open lol
Noob Question, back o2 sensor and front are the same right?
i havnt put in a full tank of fuel in more than 3 years LOL..
but when it was a daily i would get 450 - 550 easily depending on my driving & conditions.
I'll try to find that spreadsheet i used to keep before
dc2-pwr, using adj. spanner is bad advice.
they often will round your nuts.
yeah, use wd40. that shit is godsend.
There are slotted sockets you can buy. Theres a line on the side of it which enables you to run the wires through it so you can get the socket head onto the sensor. They're about <$10~
please get back on topic guys..how much k's can you get on a full tank?
my last tank i got 9.4 Litres per 100. thats the best i have eva got and i raped the car this tank
When do youse fuel light come on? Mines comes on usually when the tank has about 12L left. Around 300 on a heavy foot or 360 granny
Mine came on at 400 last tank. Charlie u still getting shit fuel economy after new o2 sensor ?
Unbolt ur cat and have a look, mine was blocked/melted causing shit economy
Yeah still not as good as it should be man. Did you just get another OEM cat?
Punched out.... lawl
pulled 7.3L/100km driving from honda nats at goulburn back to melbourne. constant 4k rpm. :D
thats like 130-150kmph?
nope, 110kmph @ 5th
different FD?
lol stock audm itr FD bro
do they all rev that high at 110?
all itr 4.7 FD's do afaik... umirin?
no cos id probly get better fuel economy sitting on 3100rpm in 5th? lol
i think mine is around 3600 @110kph.
4000 is like 120.
its 497kms now after a full tank refill, should last me another 50kms or so before lights go on.
yeah man 4000rpm is exactly on 120kmph
whats your rpm sitting on 6th jrod? 100kph
To be honest i can't remember lol, haven't driven it much lately.
i do recall that it sits slightly lower than the b18 though
Not Integra. But 100km = 2400rpm, 110km = 2600rpm.
Food for thought. Big difference.
