http://www.jlbmotorsports.com/rims/rota-list.html
Or you could have just scrolled up 5 replies and found the answer yourself.... :p
^^ LOL
Yeah moulderized the lights myself PITA though... I had some issues with painting the housing couldn't get the finish I wanted so got some professionals to help me out with that
so its a custom front bar? looks maddd
love your car man, making my decision to by an s2k much easier!
^^ Thanks man, still waiting for my exhaust to come :( it's taking awhile to get here.
HKS Silent Power. Not exactly silent and not exactly powerful.
Drones from 2800rpm to 3500rpm, then it sounds angry.
I bought my car second-hand with it installed and was quite amazed by how much quieter my friend's stock car sounds.
Full Toda FTW!
T1R also very nice!
HKS silent power with testpipe has the nicest sound imo.
HKS silent has gay sound for HONDA IMO.
TODA, MUGEN,SPOON are the best!
toda? you can barely hear it....
Spoon? looks crap
if you want a ballsy exhaust then amuse, ARC ti single or J's....
My friend got full TODA, freaky awesome all I can say.
You got amuse, js racing etc?
I got the Rudora Advantage Exhaust - I don't think any one else in OZ has this one. It's very light and sounds a treat, it doesn't have much drone either.
Link to what it looks like

Play nice people, or the ban stick will come out.
He still is. Check sig :)Quote:
I remember you trying to sell the magnum b4?
haha. yes... damn... if i remembered that FLY was selling at the time of buying my current exhaust I would have bought his!
how much did you pick yours up for Bassmaximus?
My friend imports Supras and had a container load turn up with Supra parts, in that container there happened to be a Rudora exhaust. I bought it off him for $600
Here is pic

YUmmmmmmyy, fiance drove my car, whilst I was in the civic sounds awesome outside the car.
An S2000 exhaust came in a Supra container? lol, lucky!
Toda yer?
I have the Invidia silencers in the exhaust at the moment. Sounds much less noisier, much more enjoyable driving experience too - it just looks funny with the silencers in.... Everyone's referred to them as pee-shooters. haha
No, Amuse Titanium Dual R1.
hmm time for another sydney S2k meet up to show off our exhausts :P
^
Another tear ass through a tunnel day.
08-08-08? :p (its a Friday night too!)
I have found a supplier in Perth that can Supply me a HKS Hi-Power Exhaust.
These seem like a good alternative to a stock as its a relatively low drone exhaust, if any at all. And they sound great.
Not many people can get exhausts for S2000's here so there aren't many options unless I import one in myself :(
Anyway.
I have been doing a bit of reading on these and from S2KI forums, I hear that the HKS actually loses power over the stock exhaust?
Has anyone had any experiences with this particular exhaust and can anyone confirm that this is the case?
It seems hard to believe that a HKS exhaust will actually cause you to lose power over a stock one :(
I really don't want to waste my money on an exhaust if it's going to give me less power than a stock one. I'd be pretty pissed if that was the case :P
Any information/advice would be great. Thanks.
i think i read a thread that proves that the HKS doesn't loose power.
how much btw are you getting the HKS system for?
I've been quoted $1300 installed for a HKS Dual Hi-Power for the S2k.
Or $1000 for a HKS Mild Steel one.
Yes but this still doesn't answer or give me proof that the HKS Exhaust loses power over a stock one.
I don't want to waste my money on one that decreases performance.
If I had to import one it, it wouldn't be a HKS one anyway.
I've only come accross one dyno graph on S2ki, awhile back which showed the HKS dual lose power, it was awhile ago and I was searching for it but could not find it for you.1.3k installed? You could Install it yourself and save some bucks :P. 1.3k is still expensive, AJ-Racing in the usa can get their modified 2 piece version of the 60FXRS landed here for about 1.4k last time I got a quote anyway. It will make more power then the HKS and is also lighter. But you don't want to import one do you?
If you want a local one try some 2nd hand ones, like the Spoon n1 for sale on ebay, but its a single if you want dual get the BYS that FLY's selling. If you want brand new try jdm concept they can get just about anything.
I would choose T1R 70mm from AJ racing.
When you say exhaust does this include headers? The reason I asked is because I already have some HKS 4 into 1 headers, now I am just looking for the rest of the system........still undecided. I was just going to make a twin straight through no resonators, just two straight through mufflers at the rear. I am not worried too much with noise/drone, I can always bolt the stock one back on if I get pulled over. I just don't want it to sound like a fart can, a nice deep note and loud is fine. On my 94 CRX I ran 2.25, straight through resonator and muffler but I have no experience with the S2K.
Thanks,
James.
No, the HKS is 'cat back'. So from the catalytic converter to the tips.
Yeah. I don't think there are any power gains really, but it looks nice and it is meant to sound pretty good too. It's pretty hard to get much more out of these cars from what I can see. And by hard I mean $$$$$$ expensive :eek:. Guess it shows how good Honda got this one straight out of the box. It will save weight as well I guess. There was a Titanium cat back too but we had a bad storm down here and my Internet died!!!!!:thumbdwn::thumbdwn:
I appreciate the help here, I mainly have vintage air cooled Hondas in the garage, and a 1G JDM CRX so my experience with the S2K is minimal.
James
best gains imo would be J's racing combo, test pipe and a 70RS or single outlet exhaust...
I would not recommend HKS exhaust for NA car.
TODA, Js racing, Amuse and T1R are the only four brands I would recommend.
Do you have first hand experience with all 5?
I've driven s2k with full toda, amuse and Js racing exhaust...
nice sound, deep tone,great gain.
Regarding T1R exhaust, my brother's mate is using it in USA. Also I read from US forum there are very good review about it. Sounds like 350z.
T1R S2K exhaust sound clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtcYHgfCfyY
I had the amuse, there is no gain as you speak of. Just lighter, and louder.
Website says its dyno proven exhaust:
http://www.webamuse.co.jp/new/produc...stem_image.pdf
I bought the HKS exhaust because it looked great, sounded damn awesome and was half the price of all the other exhausts.
If ur looking for any particular gains from simply changing your catback exhaust ur dreaming AND u should save ur money up for a SC or turbo kit.
Changing a cat back exhaust may add a few hp MAX, which you definately WON't feel. The feeling that u think ur going faster is prolly cos u SOUND like ur going faster. I bought the HKS exhaust and tested it against my other friend's s2k, no real change. Was I dissappointed??? No.... cos gawd damn it sounded great.
So dream on if u think buying an exhaust is going to make ur s2k light speed.
Hey guys, I've got the T16 63mm sparrow on my s2000. In regards to power, my butt dyno didn't register any increase performance, but I think the sound is really deep and smooth. I would highly recommend it to those considering T1R.
Ok got HKS extractors, and just picked up a Spoon titanium single system. What cat should I run with here?
Thanks guys.
There is so little left on the table that you can't expect much from an exhaust.
"Dyno proven, website says so" just proves you're dealing with a disreputable company and gullibly accepting their marketing hype.
As for test pipes, yeah you can pick up a couple of hp and the fine is only $10K so go for it.;)
10K???? Thats a bargain. I had a "test pipe" on my CRX and nearly got caught. Thought it was BS but yeah got EPA for noise and did the swap before I went for the db test.
I know there is really not much to gain, just want something durable and not go backwards in HP!!!! Figured anything is a bonus.
I've seen buddy club pro specs floating around for pretty good prices..
Anyone know much about them??
kongfu,
You have a PM. I strongly suggest you read it.
OEM, no resonator + Berk Test Pipe!!! OMG haha this combo sounds awesome...Sounds like crazy when you left off in 2nd gear Vtec mmmm
Is that what you're running now Jono?
Its begun...
There is fujitsubo Legalis R for sale in Ebay if someone is interested.
This what arrived in the post coutesy of Ebay this week. A set of HKS 4-1 Headers, 20 hours dyno time only for a dyno test back to back with other headers.
Spoon Titanium single cat back exhaust about 1 year old was removed before a car was traded in for a Toyota Camry "family car"...............poor guy.
Anyway got the headers for $510.00, and the cat back for $450.00. I thought it was a pretty good deal. I will fit it all up this coming week, as I learn how to change an S2000 clutch also...........Should be pretty interesting!
James.
you got a good deal for those items, congrats.
just want to clarify something, i don't think that the spoon n1 was ever released in titanium? (correct me if wrong) it was only available in stainless steel.
none the less, it is an awesome sounding exhaust, gives off a nice deep note
JMSBND: i dont think the spoon catback is a titanium item. Its Stainless steel from memory
Yeah it was a misleading advertisement about the Spoon N1 as it is stainless steel hence I didn't bid :)
HKS should give you extra hp at top end.
Seems very light this system and the tubing is very thin wall, a nice system non the less. Is their a way to id it?
the exhaust or the headers?
Sure but who's to say they don't have one of these tucked in there somewhere:
http://www.aj-racing.com/catalog/files/d_2168.jpg
So much for reputable.
would anyone know how louder the 70RS dual exhaust is to compared to the dual 60RS?
was thinking of getting one but not sure which one
I heard the 60Rs isn't loud at all very quiet exhaust. While the 70RS is loud and has drone until you install the test pipe. Not much people have the J's racing Duals so kind of hard to find a review.
This is only what I've read I've never heard one in person before. There's a guy on the boards with a 60RS single maybe he can give you an idea of how it sounds.
im running toda exhaust sounds crazy at top end but fairly loud imo
thanks for that vyets .. so which member has the single 60RS :D
