kinda funny the all motor boys are beating the fwd turbo boys hehe
if you go look up on youtube there is a n/a non vtec D16 (im gussing a Y4?) doing a 13s run ;)
Type in Bisi or bisimoto and you will find a all motor non vtec carby doing mid 9s.

And the point is?
This thread is about the Oz Street FWD record where you need to run street tyres and have many factory parts still fitted. What Bisi and any other race car has run is totally irrelevant.
Please read the thread and the attached links before making totally pointless and irrelevant posts. :thumbdwn:
Was responding to Razza matazza so yeah sorry to upset you.
wow... what a thread!!
i own the blue nugget, it needs to learn to do better skids!
perfect example of an irrelivant post. if the all motor boys had to change there cars to suit SF rules i doubt any of them would be running under 12. (keyword is doubt u would never know becuase it will never happen, AM cars are built for a purpose and so is ringers pulsar)
there is more out there then just hondas wish some people on here would just except that.
Im pretty sure the Alcorn Civic would go under 12 if changed to be SFWD legal (minus the forced induction which is one of the requirements of the class)
A couple of bits of trim and factory rear end would only add 45kgs...
simple K-turbo setup in a civic will smash that record:zip::zip:
Congrats on the record tho. Don't think it'll stand for long.
Isn't Dave Homer's GTi SFWD legal?
U dont have to be boosted to run SFWD do you?Quote:

you can have NOS and turbo. Or jsut NOS.
If it's so easy to break the record set by ringers, then why doesn't someone step up and do it, hmm?
those pulsars are hot!! congrats on the time ringers!
Dave Homer has run a 10 on slicks... 11.2 on r888s... and afaik I thought it was a 1.4 or 1.5L now...
No doubt it won't stand for long, come jambo theres going to be 11sec passes everywhere methinks, plenty of cars who have the potential...
yep... 11's will become common place
same pulsar beat his own record, ran a 11.73 this afternoon at jambo
so question still stands which honda is going to step up?
step up TO WHAT?
read the topic, Street front wheel drive is completely different to all motor.
street front u cant strip full interiors and u must run street radials, ect, ect
*e240 Edit: No need to be so dramatic*
this is the class that 90 POV entered in jambo last year. so im asking where are the other hondas to step up to THIS CATAGORY and show what the street hondas are doing
btw read my comment above the hondas YOUR REFERING TO arn't able to compete in this class as they strip to much and use slicks. even 40RGD in its "Street Trim" Would have to restore some of his interior to be allowed to compete not having a dig im just saying u can't compare the to really becuase both cars are built for to COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CATAGORY's
Ryan's pulsar would be a **** load quicker if he used slicks and stripped the pulsar down to ;)
and when were we talking about my evo? keep it on topic.
well then why doesnt it? Thats what I'm saying I know it can be done so I'm wondering if anyone out there is going to challenge it. The last real honda to compete was 90 POV and we all know if that found a way to get the power to the ground it would be able to go faster. And how is bringing up a record which is relevant to fwd drag racing bring up crap?
i know there are alot of turboed honda's out there, this is there class of drag racing. i can see relevance.
why the fcuk does everyone think you need a k turbo to smash someone, ffs you would have a better chance of getting the record broken by a d series or b16 turbo then a k turbo with its bigger torque.
each to their own, some like to go 'faster' on slicks, some like to try challenge things on street tyres, big deal. If you like racing on street tyres then good for you, same for slicks and striped out to bare. Race to have some fun.
I'm with AZA. I was at Jambo yesterday and the Hondas were almost all bounced in the first round - or popped! There were heaps more starlets, pulsars etc than civics/crxs. If there is not a street-tyred Honda capable of flat 12's with interior intact in SEQLD or NNSW I'd be surprised!
For me, though, it's not about the record, it's about having a go. I see so many cars advertised on the net with full turbo kits etc with XXXfwkW and yet aside from the alcorn bros there were hardly any 'street' fwd cars entered. They're out there for sure!
Even in the carpark, within 20 metres of my car (a high 13's NA Civic), were turbo d-series CRX's and a Turbo Civic VtiR Coupe. I don't know why more guys/girls don't just run for fun! Get inside and walk down the lane for street fwd and play spot-the-honda!
Maybe they don't feel worthy, but it's about having a go. I have only had my car for less than 3 months and have been up twice. I'd love to get my appropriate license and have a crack. I certainly wouldn't have been the slowest car out there, and who cares if I was?!? There was an ugly, old original magna out there doing 12's and the crowd loves to see that sort of thing!
i mainly started this thread to show the depth thats being created in this catagory. there are now 3 11 second cars in this class. i though that some people seeing how competitive it is starting to get it might give them some motivation to go out and have a crack
ive been down the strip plenty of times :)
that was my turbo crx in the carpark. i didnt run because im crunching into third. i already have a new gearbox, soon as i put it in, ill be out there.
also can anyone tell me why that dc5r turbo from 999 was so slow?
i did see that car and i did notice that it was also competing in street front, what time did it run mate? i didnt get to see it run it got knocked out to early for me to see i think ha only got there at like 11 on sunday.
nice setup in it though, k series turbo with top mount intercooler (sleeper)
yeah i saw it run a 12.49 forgot the mph. that thing is fully modded, looks in excess of 15k worth of mods on the whole car. pretty slow for how modified it is.
Much congrats to Ryan on an excellent achievement.
ffs..
ryan ran some good times..
YEA YEA ITS GONNA BE EASY FOR SOMEONE TO BEAT HIM BUT REMEMBER NO ONE HAS SO JUST EVERYONE STOP TALKING SHIT AND DONT HATE HE IS ****ING QUICK 11.7 ON STREET TYRES. I SEEN THE PASS AND I WAS VERY HAPPY FOR HIMM..
UNTIL SOMEONE JUMPS UP AND WANTS TO BEAT THAT RECORD, THEN EVERYONE JUST BE HAPPY FOR HIM CAUSE ITS WELL DESERVED.. I WAS THE ONLY HONDA FROM SYDNEY TO BE AT JAMBO WHICH IS A POOR EFFORT FROM U GUYS...
congrats RYAN u deserve it man..
i wanna see 11.5s soon..
Agreed, very impressive times and a well deserved results! Congrats :thumbsup:Quote:
congrats RYAN u deserve it man..
i wanna see 11.5s soon..
**** thats fast for semi slicks, when was that run? i didnt see a 11.7 on the board. anyone know how much power he has?
11.73@124mph 1.8 60foot - andys car, whos motor is now in mine.
mickey thompson drag radials acutally Aza.
it made 195kw the same day mine made 172kw... I just want to see more cars out there Honda's, Toyota's everything!
anything to pack the entries out and make sure the slow cars dont qualify ;)
o haha i must of read someone elses tyres who had them.
well there u go inside scope for ya ;)
Thanks for the kudos guys... stoked as :)
needs more fast;)
congrats dude , well deserved !!
its good to watch sf run 11's espec on semi's.. shame he red lit. but it was to my mate from up here in rocky..(green cc lancer) we hoping to be in the 11's with it next year too..
Name me one. And what time it has run. :)
i can name a few
unles u want me to write u a full story i wont hold nothin bak.... SSS turbo quik but
turbo b series over SSS turbo anyday :) that record wont last long honda drivers are lazy look at all the guys online now loll al it takes is one with a snail wacked on to beat that record
name me a B series turbo that has ran faster under similar conditions
90 POV
Real street tyres 12.1
someone install a windmill on a K swap car.
last i knew 11.7 was still quicker?
90 pov had the same problem as the k turboed intergra that competed, too much un used power and no traction cuasing them to loose alot of time, the k series turbo was using the "road legal" semi slicks to
im not saying without work and tweaking these cars couldnt beat the pulsar as im sure they would give it a run for its money, but its still yet to be seen in this form of competition
eerrr of course 11.7 is quicker.. but your mate was using street drag radial's.
if i remembered right, 90pov was using real street tyres (toyo t1-r?)...
So you need to give him credit for that... not dissing your mates pulsar but 90 POV with drag radial would of gotten close if not beat that 11.7..
In terms of traction, i guess if you got the right $$$$ on a good ECU, that could help heaps as well
oh btw, K Turbo'ed Integra? any pics?
here is the integra mate
http://image-cache.boostcruising.com...0253012912.jpg
Nice...
What does that boosted dc5 ran down the 1/4 mile ?
ran a 12.49@127mph (from the top of my head), massive power... no traction
127mph on my eg weight = 10.7 - 10.9 sec pass LOL
sorry to get off topic but does anyone know where/ or who makes a good turbo kit for the dc5r....
that teg looks like its setup for the circuit work...
I believe it is a track car... Quoting Autosalon magazine... it holds the tsukaba track record for FF... i think it was 1:01.... Then it was bought by 999 automotive... i believe...and now its shredding up AUS...
you mean FF not FR ;)
Holy Moley, 1:01 for a FF!
On race slicks?
