the temp needle needs to be calibrated / adjusted ...
in want that wing i think I'm going to sell my spoon carbon fibre one and buy 1 of those with the lift kit so hot
Swapped my Tegiwa Racing Wing Lifters over to Mr Alex Wing Lifters. Some might say why? I wanted to change to the original designer, than to rather have copies. Plus Mr Alex Wing Lifters are better quality. Better metals and screws/bolts used. And they offer a little bit more aggressive angles.

Sprayed dettol antiseptic spray all over the plastics, twice and wiped everything down. Dash, passenger+drive side plastics, glovebox. Only takes 1 line of text to say it but it took forever.
Cleaned out the fuel cap area
Unscrewed and took out all the speaker covers and cleaned them

how about the king springs senna ?
Nah, just re-fit the standard coils on the koni's with the spring seat lower - i already have clearance issues where i park my car at home, plus i wanted a bit more comfort. Its down around 10mm in the front and 20 or so in the rear to take the rake out of it.
Drives good and i can still drive across sydney's shit roads without wincing!
Kings will be up or sale this arvo if i get a chance to clean them $150 for the lot, super lows
senna was my hero, hence the plates:

Ripped out the carpet.
So I desided to buy some new wheels so i can run some bigger tires for when i build my b20 vtec and for drags and so on
Seen some wheels for sale for $260 5x wheels, 15x7 in size.
So rang the bloke he said they had some gravel rash... offered him $150 cash and we agreed on $160
I went to pick them up and relised they were 16x8 stoked now looking at painting them.

Whats the plans with the car bud

Getting the smell out of this used car i paid too much for is priority #1
After that, progressively doing almost everything black. All the light grey stuff, i want to black out. The dark grey of the interior I can live with..
I've taken LOTS of photos as I've gone along so, there'll eventually be a build thread =D
I'm happy with the stock EK seats, just not the ones that came with the car. I need to find some used ones in good condition..
After that, I might try to get a rear seat delete kit, or replace with other ones that are in good cond. that dont stink.
I called knox auto carpets but they dont do carpets for EK's, only EG and prior >_< so I'll be trying to find a place that can do my carpet and headliner for a reasonable price (i know I can DIY, but if the price is semi reasonable I'll go with it)
the only reason I didn't smack the delivery driver at 7:30am this morning is because this is what he had for me!

Finally got round to doing the DIY wing lift, might lower it in time, but im happy atm, looks more aggressive

http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h2.../TypeRKnob.jpg
how many did you get? me wants
Fark, thats even cheaper than i got mine! Which seller?
99% sure that's fake. 54102-smt-e01 is the part number for fd2r shift knob, which is 6 speed.
edit: found them here
http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/8...uto-Parts.html
"This is a Type-R **style** OEM Shift Knob" Place of origin - china.
Looks like they just package them in genuine boxes.
That being said, doesn't look too bad though!
Did some cleanup on the gearbox.. so much crud on the slidey part..
Then cleaned up a bit below it with some compressed air, dettol & WD40.. areas nobody will ever see
I found a loose screw in a weird place too.. dont think I caused it myself either

This is where I got it from:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/250883533...84.m1497.l2649
To be honest I wasnt expecting it to be a genuine type r knob for the fact that it was only $30. I noticed the item location was Japan, but when I tried tracking the item it came up with "Hong Kong Post" which made me think... Interestingly they went through all that trouble to seal it up in a clear plastic with genuine Honda stickers as well. Anyways, it feels quite solid and durable so hopefully it will last.
buddyclub n+ coils installed!! xD
will post up pics when i get a chance
Does it screw straight onto your shifter or is held on by those grub screws?

Trial fitted a carbon bonnet on the car. Looks weird
Installed asr sub frame and ek9 rear sway bar... then realized my back tires were worn like crazy...

feels way better, even though I dont have coilovers I have still noticed a stiffening up of the rear. But I can't really go too hard as I saw my rear tyres are ggoooooonnnneee, the wire is sticking out and everything. At least it'll give me a chance to finally put on my bbs rs's...
Did the DIY on the tail lites.. Very much thanks to a friend!
looks good dude
that ek9 style
Was so excited when I did my ek9 lights DIY, now Im like wtf why doesn't this civic have 2 brake lights if I ever see one
thanks.. EKVTIR-T
[QUOTE=Aleksa;3232373]Installed asr sub frame and ek9 rear sway bar... then realized my back tires were worn like crazy...
where'd you get the ek9 sway bar and how much.. if you dont mind me asking <3
installed OEM EM1 rear sway bar on my ek1 :D
http://i786.photobucket.com/albums/y...m/IMG_2228.jpg
14mm i believe
im pretty sure its safe lol i think its only like a 15mm or 14mm no bigger then that but i heard its alright to run on an ek1 without any dramas but anything bigger then you would need to get a sub frame reinforcement brace eg,asr etc
i went for a good road test today and it seems fine the handling difference is amazing even for a stock bar, before i put the rear on i was only running a GLi 22mm front sway bar and that help heaps cause my car is a cxi= came with no front or rear swaybars lol and with the rear now it sits pretty flat in corners and takes them pretty good compare to having just a front sway bar.60 bucks well spend for the lot xD
and one for alvis
some new wheels
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...N/DSC01173.jpg
Got it from you...
scrubbed out the carpet underlay stuff stuck to the base of the car.. cleaned up that area a bit. cut out some paint dropsheets to sit at the bottom with a mat over them until i get the carpet re-done..
also got the locks fixed up yesterday
I pulled out my boot, backseats and plastic moulding... stripped the thing from the the end of the boot to the beginning of the doors.
Tucked in all my sub and speaker cables and ran an earth cable to the sub (I swear there are some issues with my earthing situation).
Cleaned thouroughly because it was FILTHY (vacuum and then washing it).
Now to finish cleaning and put it back in....
My engines (B20VTEC) been removed and the engine bay feels naked ..
Waiting for a new build...
Head gasket caused a big problem then huh?
just took some photos
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/6250/dsc8651z.jpg
y u no earth back to battery?
No need to brother all you need to is find a safe spot to put a srew or bolt and sand back some paint and bolt it to the car. using a ring terminal.
The other trick with stereo gear is to run the cables in different spots or you will get noise and problem
shorter the earth wire the better
eh, earthed mine back to the battery and all my wires are hidden and don't get any noise interference. amp is bolted to my back seat and wires put through the back of the seat, under carpet and up through the gap near glove box.
my amp is earthed behind the carpet in the boot, theres heaps of bolts there already
