Dc5r Vs Dc5s

ahah def at the wheels come on fellas lol our cars aint that slow lol

different dynos, different days, can't compare numbers!! But i'm led to believe the S responds slightly better to i/h/e ecu due to different cams! Correct me if i'm wrong!

Audm Type R has the same engines as the us del RSX and Civic SI, that is the K20A2 (200hp), unlike the Jap spec K20A (220hp).

The K20Z (DC5S), is just an normal update of say the K20 engine. Therefore you would assume they would have tinkered with it to gain some torque/kw.

Without getting too much into it. The K20Z (DC5S) would probably have different cams, maybe not the K20A (JDM Type R) but would be very similar.

To have a fair comparison, you need to run both cars (DC5R/CD5S) back to back on same dyno, to get a true and fair comparison.

We did do that at the Belgarage dyno day last year, the type r's did about 108 to 112 (3 R's went b4 me) my S got 128.4 stock

That is a very high number for a standard K20Z! I'm led to believe 110kw to 115kw atw is about normal

found a guy on youtube with only an AEM V2 intake and a 3" Thermal R&D cat-back pushing out 198whp.. with an 05 type s that is..

American Dynos read alot higher i think u will find, someone else will be able to explain how and why!
As K20A's (JDM) with I/H/E kpro are putting out between 195/200 whp on an Aussy Dyno

Nothing to do with performance but i reckon the Type R's look a 100x better than a Type S

really? :S.. if u can find someone to explain let me know.. oh i did see a type s in japan dyno'd n it pulled 180whp stock..

i hardly see the point of numbers on a dyno.

Go race X vs X car @ a local drag strip or racetrack and you will see which is the faster/quicker car :)
