thats nice painted grill :) glossy black yeh
same colour as the body.... NHB + Pearl
looks good, do you have any pic of the whole front part of the car? wonder how it look as a whole.
:p HAHA, no, I do not live in burwood, I live in the east.
Wow, I think you saw another modulo then. Glad to see more and more euro coming out these days. Modulo is great to me personally, the even more muscular look.
Hope to get the car lower, still hesitating. :)
how much did you pay for the modulo kit ?
yup, here's the pic: http://ozhonda.com/forum/showpost.ph...5&postcount=74
looks clean denot, good job... i wonder how it would look like if it was painted for mine with volcanic grey...
@mikhaelnen: Thanks mate, no... it wont attract more attention than your sports grille though (especially at night)
@nxn75u: Thanks, Volcano grey? hmmm if you have white + black grille that will be awesome, not sure about VG...
Funny story, yesterday I went to a dealer to claim warranty (the oil leaked and reporting pinging issue) and when they park the car just outside, a guy who looking to buy CU2 ask the salesman "Is MY10 comes with colour coded grille? That looks awesome" :p LOL!!!!
personally acura grille looks weird to me, lots of poepl from the US are trying to source honda grille as they look heaps better (i reckon). Mugen grille looks hawt but i reckon it will only look good with the mugen add on-kit installed. And dedy from top one says it is not 100% bolt on rite? Correct me if im wrong..
Well i was surprised when reading the instructions that the original grill had to be modified.
I thought the Mugen parts were a direct fit but it's not and maybe that's only for CU2's.
Eibach springs are good and i'm happy with it but then i had to find out how much the Tein coilovers costs and i was surprised as the price was really good.
Might be getting the Tein coilovers...lol
Yeah for sure...maybe sometime next week.
^^^ LOL, how much is the Tein coilover cost? And let me know if you're selling the Eibach later :p
Well the best price i got is A$1,500 shipped from www.heeltoeauto.com
I have sent emails to other companies and just waiting for some prices.
Ride's good, have it on stock settings at the moment as i've mentioned a few pages earlier
It's a bit stiffer than stock suspension, holds better around corners at higher speed, a lot less bouncy on small road bumps, i personally like it better than stock suspension
it took something like 1.5 weeks to deliver :) not much of a wait at all
Thanks.
Yeah but not right now..Maybe early Jan or Feb next year.
I will be getting these wheels Advan RSD in 19 x 8.5 +45 offset.
http://www.renn-spec.com/v/vspfiles/...dvan_rsd-7.jpg
yeah me neither, mugen wheels are alright in the 19inch XJ wheel or whatever it's called
20 shouldn't be too ricey providing you drop it properly, any bigger gap it'll just look plain stupid, and obviously decent choice of wheel as well.
i think for 20s you'd need something with a bit of dish to look good... but that's just my 2c
Yeah i agree with that. 19" suits the CL9 and the CU2 has pumped wheel arches so i think it needs 20" to get the same look as 19"s on the CL9.
And something with dish, and wide, would look awesome. 9" wide? Hot!
Tien SS Coilovers $1140
Tien Basic Coilvers $855
Which ones do you guys recommend just for someone who is looking to lower their CU2? No tracking or anything, just a decent ride quality while looking a bit low (1.5" lower).
Not sure if it is much trouble to adjust the damper and if i would need to at all so not sure if its worth the extra AU$400 or so on top of the basic ones.
Hmm!!
I would strongly recommend H&R springs. i use my CU2 for everyday use, including business trips. Drop is perfect, about 35mm front and 30mm back. Will post pics in the next day or two, and you can decide.
I was expecting a harsher ride with the new springs, but honestly, I cannot tell the difference. The ride is still luxurious, and bumps are not felt easily - still very comfortable. I am based in South Africa, so we imported them directly from H&R. I paid an equivalent of USD360 for them, including fitment. No regrets what so ever!
Ahh thats awesome to hear! Might check out the H&R springs more then, 1/4 the price of coilovers and since there will be absolutely no tracking, i dont think it would make a difference for me, except to the wallet haha.
Still can't wait to see the pics mate :D
Its 8.30pm here, I will arrange that the case be washed tomorrow, and will definately post pics. Theres times, when I just open my garage gate, to stare at my Accord. That drop, with the 19z are so sweet. Cant stop staring! :)
Hey, same time as Germany! Its 9:07pm here atm too :D
Yeah man your car is gorgeous, i love the rims, they look great on it! Also, looove the colour!! Volcano Grey/Grigio Gray ftw haha!
Thanks buddy. Are you watching the cricket? NZ vs Pakistan?
Ok, ive uploaded pics on the thread MY CU2 (So far..)
^^^ hey aaron i think ihavent seen pic of your car yet ;)
random question, but do you guys know what the offset of the 18x8" cu2 alloy is?
^ offset if +55 for stock CU2 alloys, on both the base and luxury models
just out of curiosity, is the cl7 chassis the same as the cl9? in terms of strength and rigidity, any additional welds etc
oops sorry wrong thread
hey does anyone know if the cl9 shockies will fit the cu2? or if there are any shockies for the cu2 out on the market yet?
:arrowu: That looks familar :D
They are multiplying...

How about a night scene one:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/attachm...1&d=1257385395
Hey guys remember the nengun site i mentioned a few months back
i just checked their site again. but i noticed that the mugen parts they listed ARE SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER. it could be just my imagination but
check for urselves
http://www.nengun.com/mugen/aerodynamics-accord-cu2
AU $ 1,814.41 for 3 piece set of lip spoiler, skirts and rear under spoiler.
i noe shipping is gunna slap you in the face, but it will only be a few hundred dollars ontop. still cheaper than $1,230 for the lip alone at jdmyard. its only AU $ 596.17 for the lip at nengun
i was already saving up for the body kit, but now i dont have to try so hard. the front bumper is AU $ 1,671.85 which replaces the grill as well and u gotta buy the skirts and rear bumper seperately which cost another thousand. but i personally prefer the lip.
good find or what
^ nengun's prices work with the exchange rate. the the dollar goes well the prices get cheaper.
i bought my kit from nengun and i'm telling you now i'll won't be doing it again.
all i can say is read their t&c's in regards to delivery etc.
when the experience i went through, it would've been been off going with one of the traders.
^ yeah it really wasn't worth the bother. you do get what you want in the end of the day, but its getting it here that is problem. not worth the hassle.
thank you for your kind words :)
so the prices move with exchange rate but it kinda halved in price! the exchange rate hasn't doubled so the price has gone down a bit that wasnt related to exchange rate.
could you get in more detail about the problems with shipping? i was seriously considering it. if it was just issues with delay i dont have a problem waiting 1 2 or 3 months lol. if it gets to me in 24hrs it will probably be sitting in my garage for months before i have time to actually install them. if it was over pricing, unless shipping price = item price then its still cheaper than the traders here. they all just buy it from mugen japan and import it here anyway
I emailed Nengun Sep this year for below parts and this is what the shipping cost is.
Way too expensive.
To ship:
71110-XLLXK0S0-PO - Front Under Spoiler will be 68000yen to be picked up from Sydney Airport.
84111-XLL-K0S0-ZZ - Rear Under Spoiler will be 50000yen also picked up from Sydney Airport.
then custom broker fees, and the company that is looking after shipping you have to pay terminal fees. about another 200 or so on top
LOL ok fair enough. thanks for letting me know. i understand what you mean now. i thought it was just slow shipping, but if i have to pay customs and go to airport thats bs. the dealer should take care of that. but at least it goes to show how ridiculously overpriced the traders here are.
^ to be honest its not too bad. jdm concept quoted me 2.1k landed to my door. blinded by the hidden fees from nengun, i decided to go with nengun. but at the end of the day, it was only around 100 or so cheaper but i had to go get it from the bloody airport
Someone drag their CU2, PLEEEEAAAAAASE!
ok realllly noob question, how do i replace parkers lol. I just popped the hood and have no idea how to access the bulbs. same with the number plate lights. CU2
car manual yo!
not sure about cu2. but cl9 and accords you can change the parkers through the wall lining of the front wheels. the number plates there should be clips, fiddle around with it and it should pop out. might have to pop out a few of the lining.
First post for me! I have a 2009 CU2 Luxury, and first thing that i noticed was the huge difference between the xenon low beams (blue/white) and the halogen parkers (yellow) and it really looked horrible. I replaced them with some white LED parkers and they are nearly exactly the same colour as the low beams and look much much better. How to do it -
YOU DEFINATELY DON'T NEED TO REMOVE THE WHEEL WELL LINING FOR CU2!
Step 1) Refer to owners manual, its got diagrams and a step by step process on pg. 406 & 410
Step 2) Open hood. To change the right side parker remove the coolant reserve tank by pulling up on it with moderate force (do so in order to gain access to back of lights)
Step 3) remove the socket from the headlight assembly by turning it anticlockwise.
Step 4) pull the bulb straight out and replace it (make sure its in tightly, i lost a bulb into the engine bay because it wasn't in properly!)
Step 5) re-insert the socket (inc. bulb) back into the headlight assembly and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
Step 6) test (turn on parkers)
Step 7) Replace coolant tank
Step 8) to change the left side parker, remove the two fasteners holding the upper part of the air intake duct and then pull it out.
repeat steps 3-6
Step 9) replace upper part of intake duct and replace fasteners.
Step 10) close bonnet, done!
It sounds difficult, but seriously it is ridiculously simple, anyone can do it.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask

after (shown with lowbeam, near perfect match)
wow! thanks for that reply! so indepth!. nd yes it looks much better. outta curiosity is it legal to have blue parkers? wat about blue number plate lights? i bought white and blue, if i cant use blue parkers then i will use then for number plate lights. actually i dont noe how to change those either
blue is illegal
I have a "super white" parkers with a tint of blue on them, its not a strong blue though so i think it's ok, same with the number plate lights at the back. The only problem is they're not very strong lights
