LOL...! You guys are funny, redline is there to basically protect the engine. Hitting it doesnt make you faster. Changing gears just before is where its at. Changing cleanly is what i should say.
Stock EP3 is 8400rpm tho the tacho does read a little bit more at the top as it is generous on a couple of rpms if you know what I mean.
hmmm i was changing gears at 8.5k rpm when i went to WSID. Did 3 runs aswell. Car was fine after lol

the handling is very different.
i had the NA6 which was the oldest original MX5.
stock wise, i have to say the EP3 is better. obviously with all the years of development. chassis is stronger/stiffer and slightly less bodyroll. with the LSD you can put the power down early exiting corner.
however EP3 might be quicker but MX5 is more fun do drive. u can't beat rwd and (close to) 50:50 weight distribution etc etc.
i have to say they are different cars with different driving experience. for me a more powerful MX5 would be ideal but since i need to carry the kids now, mx5 is out of the question. i enjoy my EP3 just the same.

They are designed so that u can click them to 1 side and they should come off and u can replace the globe but beause its plastic the clip i think gets stuck and if u try to push it to the side u might crack it. My mechanic replaced it by taking the plastic cover off the hatch door and going in from behind. Or do what i did for ages, at night time b4 u take off, turn ur head lights on, walk to the back of ur car and tap the parkers till the filaments touch and turn on hahahaQuote:
