    LOL...! You guys are funny, redline is there to basically protect the engine. Hitting it doesnt make you faster. Changing gears just before is where its at. Changing cleanly is what i should say.

    Stock EP3 is 8400rpm tho the tacho does read a little bit more at the top as it is generous on a couple of rpms if you know what I mean.

    hmmm i was changing gears at 8.5k rpm when i went to WSID. Did 3 runs aswell. Car was fine after lol

    so when i hit my type S to redline it just cut out, so nothing bad happened? i was a bit worried...

    i thought it redlined at 8200rpm? and u can rev the stock engine (ECU permitting) to 9k although the cams dont do much up there and the torque curve makes it decent, so id suggest bigger cams if u wanted it to do nething while its up at 9k but if u just wanted it for bragging rights, go for gold
