Ahh ok aronng. Now i understand however i am not sure about basic or good lsd. I know that my definition would not be technical at all. It would be the explanation that some are more limited than others.

On a FWD car, the Carbon ATS 1.5 way is good but overkill. The difference between the Carbon ATS and the torsen in the DC5R is that the Carbon is clutch-operated. That means that even if both wheel totally lost grip, the Carbon would still work while the torsen must have some resistance to at least one driving wheel in order to work.
The Carbon ATS is good for RWD cars used in drifting where the torsen would just give up when both tyres were spinning.
So would the Carbon ATS be better for the Track? Or just better for drag/1/4 mileQuote:

There is a slight groove in the back right hand side to accommodate the Type S strutbrace. I believe this is the only difference.

first thing first, there is a sound difference between the two. i would say that the injen gives off a louder roar when you vtec, as for the gruppem its more of a louder scream. but the injen is much much louder then the gruppem, probably coz the injen is more open and not enclosed in a box.
after having the injen for a while and now the gruppem i did notice that the low-mid rev range is more responsive. i have to get use to blipping when down shifting again lol. to me i guess low-mid response will only affect the way you drive your car day to day as in more throttle or less. if you were to compare in drag, i dont think it will make much of a difference.
going from stock to the injen, there was a noticable i mean noticable gain in top end when you vtec. you know that feeling when you chuck in a new mod after driving your stock car for a while... you can really notice the difference, its a good feeling lol :thumbsup:
going from injen to gruppem i didnt notice a thing. i wouldnt say one intake gains more then the other. vteced it many times with the gruppem and i seriously cant tell the difference in pull compared to the injen.
i also got my gf to test drive my car (full rev range) and tell me the difference, and she confirms what i have said. just in case it was all in my head because i just spend a shiit load on an intake lol.
end of the day, if you got cash to blow, then go the gruppem but if you want something thats close to it and cheaper, then the injen wont disappoint you! :)

To reset the ECU you take the fuse out. What the hell are you guys on about taking the battery off????
the fuse is the back up fuse, which breaks the circuit, which means there is no power.Quote:

If you know which fuse to pull, then yeah, pull it. But many people are not as technically-inclined, so it would be easier to tell them to pull off the negative terminal, rather than try to guess which fuse is for the ECU.Quote:

There was not, they did put it on for the fist fwd but they turned it off cause it was blowing shit to the ppl/bbq. they had it to low for the gruppeM anyway

You may have been expecting too much. I had the Injen CAI fitted 2 weeks ago and I'm really happy with the results. I didn't expect a power gain, just better throttle response and a tougher note. That's exactly what I got. It's a little quicker on cold nights.Quote:

how about if u drive in heavy rain. Surely that lil hole at the bottom of the cant drain a whole heap of water at once ?? anyone live in sydney and drivin there car in the heavy rain past couple of weeks ?? how there intake go ?? also with the drain hole does the water drip only any hot mechanical parts ?? ive ordered 1 gruppe m intake and im just paranoid about the whole water into the intake issue
This been cover so many time and also in different forums......there is no issue in regard to water problem.....either gruppeM or Mugen....you are thinking too much.....it will be fine...

No i didn't receive the cleaner kit, although the filter was pre-oiled.. U can just grab the K&N recharge kit from Autobahn etc
