i dont like the fact that dc5r have less raw then the dc2r and that it weighs more and that the dc2r didnt come in blue
Back on topic: The only things I dislike about my Integra (1996 Integra GSi) is the low headroom (I'm 17 y/o and am already taller than 182cm, I have to drive around like a bogan in a VN Commodore), and the lack of VTEC.
lolol yes back on topic: every commodore/falcon wants 2 race even though im driving like a girl
yeah not only that
but you got every single p plater in any car trying to race you hahah
duno if this happens to other people..
but when i park in a slope overnight i start the car and my hand brake light stays on..
it seems my flotation device in the brake resivior gets stuck - not a biggie though but it happens whenever i park on my parents driveway overnight
Flotation device in the reservoir? Huh? If its a DC2 i know they dont have any, and pretty sure DC5s wouldnt either? The onlt electrical device on the reservoir is for low brake fluid. The handbrake has a switch which will turn the handbrake indicator off/on.
yeah thats the one man
its connected to the cap on that white stick lol
and yes it is for low brake fluid.. i think when it parked - the liquid goes on a slope.. so when i go back onto the flat surface the 'float' is still on an angle.. therefore my handbrake indicator goes on until i level the float out again..
pull the cap off, give it a good clean, top up the oil - excellent. :)
Nothing!!!!!!! i love everything about it!!
It isn't the fastest but it was until very recently,
Nurburgring fastest lap times. there is a lot above but they are all like m5 bmw's and porsches and stuff.

I can supply the document if anyone would like it :).
The DC2 is much faster accelerating car then the DC5, and it handles better.
Mod's for the DC5 make it undoubtably faster then the DC2 (modded).
if its stock vs stock its a hard comparison because the DC2 was built originally to go on the track, where as the DC5 they tried to focus on ride comfort and a bit of luxury, as well as maintaining a fair bit of power and handling, but it wasn't the cars main focus like the DC2.
Let me know what you think. Thank you
Yeh it is second, pm me and i'll send you the whole document.
the GTR is 12th on nurburgring the last time i looked it was just under the ferrari enzo
^^Lol maybe one day, I can tolerate it for now. But one day it might shit me that much that I'll do it.
What i dont like about the Honda Integra, the Aust delivered DC5 or DC2 Type-R's in particular is that it aint the REAL JDM Type R....the story pretty much ends there
Dislike about my Integra ~ After driving in heavy rain, water becomes trapped in the door jambs and seals and makes the car stink. But goes away after about 5 mins the next time you drive.
DC2R needs a 6th gear for free way driving.
^agreed, hence k swap is on my list of things to do before i die...
only jdm dc5r does
so what there not fast?
Man the antenna's ratta-tat-tat really pisses me off LOL
Beeping when you leave the key in the ignition and open the door
The initial beeping when you first start the car
FOCKIN SQUEAKY BOOT RATTLE FTL
Other than that, love it.
Fail you've made a thread on this as well.
cant check out the 2 girls in the car behind me cause the type R wing is blocking the fuc*ing view :(
Hahahahahahahahaah. thats gold muzukashi.
What i dont like about the integra is the recaros wear and tear. its hard telling my friends to "jump" in and not slide.
seat covers?
Don't know if its just me, but it pisses me off when you have to drive slow in 2nd gear. I always seem to get stuck in that annoying speed where you're going too slow for 2nd gear but not slow enough for 1st and the car jumps around a bit. My sisters lancer would easily cope...
i used to get this with a mates integra. you've got a normal integra yeh? so it should have a 4.4 fd (or something other than a 4.78)?
yeh, it used to drive me nuts. you don't get it with the type r's cos of the 4.78 fd i think. you can be almost at a standstill in 2nd or 1st, whichever you prefer.
heavy clutch dying + lightened flywheel + dc2 gearbox (as above) + start stop traffic (moving but reaaaaaaally slow) + hill = the most annoying fcking bullshit i have ever had to deal with.
Yeah I have a gsi. Its really starting to annoy me more and more Especially seeming as at uni there are a shitload of speed bumps around so your constantly stuck between 1st and 2nd gear, feeling like I'm over using my clutch. Another reason I'm considering investing in a BB6.
just stick to first.
What i dont like about my Integra DC2 Type-R?....it feels significantly slower when you have another thats alot faster (R32 GT-R)
Thanks god ive kept mine for almost 9yrs stock but still running strong when im just happy going out to get groceries/food/daily driven. I hope these two cars will become a collectors item some day
-Turning circle is horrible (Saying that, how often do you need to U-turn?)
-VTEC uses wayyy too much fuel
-VTEC. ALWAYS makes me want to keep it in 2nd just that little bit longer to hear crossover, contributing to point #2. Annoys the **** out me, it seems to override my own self-control lol.
Other than that, nothing but praise for the DC2.
I've thought about this before. Even though in it's own right the ITR is quick, it can't compare to a GT-R.
Out of curiosity dude, how do the two compare? You own my two dream cars you son of a bitch :P.
...seriously though, how do the strong points of each car compare? (DC2R=Handling/corners, R32=Power AND corners)?
Obviously your Skyline is going to own the Integra in the power stakes, but is there anything in the Type-R that impresses you over the Nissan?
lol what do you keep the type r for? a daily? do you ever feel like driving it instead of the gtr other than to save fuel :P?
reason i ask is because when i upgrade, it will be to a much faster car, and faster around corners too, so while i have no intention of selling the type r (it's worth quite a few grand more to me than anyone would pay) i'm trying to work out when i would want to drive it.
I spent quite a while looking at Silvias before I settled on a Teg, and I do wish the turbo was optional; I'd rather have an NA vehicle at this point. This is also what put me off the WRX. These insurance costs for turbo vehicles are ridiculous. Not to mention the cost of servicing a turbo and an AWD. The S2000 is nice, but I'd want a Mugen hardtop, and they're a more challenging drive. Obviously well out of my price range, too. I was more in the market for an MX-5 than an S2K.
Likes: The Integra gave me certain elements I like about those vehicles, but also the practicality, reliability and economy of a Civic. Seemed like a great option. I also managed to get a '99 GSi with 110,000kms and full dealer service history for $6k.
Dislikes: The previous owner scuffed the front bar, and installed horribly cheap 'F-1 Rally Wheels'. Mother Nature also hailed on the bonnet, the bitch.
Baaahhh the DC2R wing really sucks when trying to look at hotties behind you :(
Had a girl driving behind me in an evo 9 and couldn't see her face properly .. LAME
yes. this!!!^^
probably the first thing i noticed about the car when i got it on friday....
i had the integra vti-r as my first car. THE CLUTCH WAS SO HARD TO LEARN LOL its like theres two stages of it.. but i got used to pretty qiuck :) also the back seat room is pretty small.. i saw my mates sitting in the back seat and they didnt look to comfortable.. thats about it i reckin
What's with 90's Japanese cars fans always blowing even when the aircon or heating is turned off. Totes annoying haha.
mmm fair enof, it shudnt lol
passengers complain its too small and squashy at the back and had to duck their heads making them uncomfortable lol ><"
I hate how my car's all in pieces :(
1. Antenna - Too long and to me it looks ugly
2. Carbon Interior Bits - Don't match with passenger air vent lol
3. Fuel consumption below half tank
does your car consume more when at half tank?
Just the rattles... the god damn rattles...
That'd just be the gauge though, right?
I like that nobody wants to sit in the back. It means I have to give less rides. And even though there isn't much room on the back seat, when you put the rear seats down, there is plenty of room in the back seat/hatch area for, ahem, certain activities...
how mine dosnt flutter :(
No it isn't.
the fuel at half tank is dirtier, that's why it consumes more.
Fuel guages on these old Hondas are innacurate. last half goes quicker on my Em1 aswell.
no its not.
car burns more fuel in last half cos fuel is dirtier.
but if that were true wouldn't it be worth your time to fill it up when you hit half full everytime?
well thats weird because mine chews through the first half a little bit faster i think, maybe because when you've got half a tank the cars a bit lighter?
in all honesty though i think a lot of people think they're losing fuel faster but it's just that sometimes they drive differently.
and yeah I've heard that fuel gauges mostly through the late 80's and the 90's are inaccurate as the needle only moves when the fuel level gets to certain points, although it moves very slowly...
please explain. Why is it dirtier, and why does it burn more?
I always check my fuel economy and if I fill up at half tank or fill up when the tank is close to empty, I have the same fuel economy reading. This makes your statement hard to believe. Inaccurate indicator would be more plausible. Correct me if I'm wrong.
You fool, how about next time you give an educated answer.... dirtier... my god...
Some tanks are not a square box, it may be larger toward the top then narrow out toward the bottom hence why the bottom half goes quicker.
It also has something to do with the fuel tank float and needle.
Better explained - This is the correct answer. Enjoy.

Haters be hatin'
I hate the long nose and having to go in sideways on steep driveways..
car is not lowered or anything and I hit it everytime..
