I would agree with m0nty ITR with respect to car brokers in my limited experience.
When buying my Euro (was 3 years ago) tried a couple of brokers and they quoted me nothing special at all (and one seemed to be pi**ed off he had couldn't close the deal in one call). Was able to get a far better deal by simple negotiation with the dealer direct.
The impression I formed was that Honda don't do fleet discounts, versus Toyota, Holden etc. do.
not too long now before we place our oder............fark to think it's been almost 6months of tyre kicking.........hahhaha.
gonna get TOW BAR y'alllllllllllllllllll. : ).
Sales manager at a Volkswagen dealer for 4 of those years. Childish retorts just make you look the bigger fool.
My dealer principal has had a Toyota dealership for over 20 years and before that Ford for 10 years. He owns the largest and most successful Lexus dealership in the southern hemisphere (that includes the factory owned Sydney City Lexus) and would spend his time playing Golf with people like John Rocka. But I'm sure you're wife knows who he is. ;)
What exactly does your "missus" do for Toyota when you live in Perth?
Please lets not veer into personal attacks. With my limited experience with brokers I also say they are useless. Got way less than he could just by talking with dealer.
Brokers might work on "common" brands willing to discount but Honda doesn't discount much. Brokers don't work at all in Darwin because there is only one dealer for each brand and most dealers sell more than one brand; so no competition. I contacted a broker once and all he did was call my local dealer because there was no advantage for him to sell me a car sourced from Sydney that then had to be freighted 4,000km.
A lot of people here go south to buy something like a Landcruiser because they can get an instant discount of around $8K; which also pays for their holiday to get the car and they have change left over.
