^ x3 you mad?
on topic - my top 3:
1. i can't drive it yet - get my P's next week D:
2. previous owner doesnt know how to attach the bodykit.
3. unlocking the car is a constant battle
No, you're useless.
Don't correct someone's spelling unless you're using correct capitalisation and punctuation, champ.
dc2 are awesome just need to use premium petrol all the time annoyying when petrol is sky high
im..... im, sky high
the rear wiper wipe way too fast
it's FWD.
Passenger rail on my dc5r doesn't slide when folded forward for passengers. Is it just me? Or is it because of the fact that I've switched passenger and driver recaro?
1. SO FKN HARD TO PARK AND GET OUT OF PARKING SPACES... turning circle is dick, can't even do a U-turn on a 2 lane road without reversing halfway. takes me about 5 times going back and forth to reverse to successfully get out of a parking spot
2. im short so i can't see when i'm reversing and can't do headchecks because all i see is my seat.
3. steering wheel so stiff compared to all other cars i've driven, thus gotta turn with 2 hands instead of using palm roll
4. weird noise coming from the back when letting go of brakes, sounds like someone just rear-ended me
5. keep scraping my front lip on driveways (my cars not even lowered wtf)
6. horrible fuel economy, but what can you expect from a car made 10+ years ago
Man, you are a mad hater. Turning circle sucks, yeah I'll give you that. For 2. most people complain about being too tall and not having enough head space... Steering wheel is fine, maybe you should get it checked. And yeah, you will have to take practically all driveways on an angle, you get used to it. As for fuel economy, maybe you'd be better suited to a Prius?
1. Learn to drive
2. That's genetics fault - not the cars. Blame your parents, not Honda (anyway I'm only 165cm and it's fine for me)
3. Go get it checked or go gym - I use my palm fine.
4. Get it checked - That's not normal
5. Again, learn to drive
6. What are you used to? 35L takes me 450km+ if you're not getting that, get it checked or learn to drive =]
Since the title is "YOUR honda integra", the things im hatin on might not be present on you guys' cars
1. I'm sure ANY driver... can't get out in 1 go of a tight spot on my car, it's fkd
2. not a problem unless there's a pole behind the car that's 1m tall
3. compared to camrys and corollas ive driven, it is really stiff and hard to turn, but once again, may just be my car being shit (or does it have something to do with being FWD?)
6. i'm getting around 290-300kms on a tank, very very fkd
I've driven my gf's Corolla and the steering wheel feels way too loose imo. Same with my friends Pulsar. Teg gets it just right imo.
Isn't loose good? Really easy to park/turn in a hurry. They feel electronic though, not raw like you're actually moving the wheels yourself
Turning circle sure is shit but steering is meant to be stiff so that when going over bumps (in track scenarios), the steering wheel doesnt toggle as much compared to soft steering wheels.
If your not getting 450kms+ on a full tank, then get your O2 sensor checked.
i love the steering 'feel' in the dc2r.. its so solid
when i drive the corolla or my mrs subaru its so light and feels artificial..
the turning circle is poor but unless your doing a u-turn on train tracks with a train hurtling towards you its not a big deal..
and yes i could do palm roll on my teg too lol..
i understand if your a chic - but if your a guy you sound weaksauce lol
I can palm roll left, but not right. I guess i'm weaksauce hahah :(
Just tried it... tried to palm roll right at the lights and slammed my elbow into the window. So smooth.
Have you ever considered lifting weights?
I've been gyming since i was 14 lol this is fkd. or maybe my wheels fkd and its not me :D
maybe ur power steering fluid is low
This. Steering on the Teg is awesome. The only thing that sucks about my Integra is lack of V-tec and lack of power in a straight line. The Integra is by far the funnest car I have ever driven when corners come into play. I haven't driven anything amazingly awesome before though :/
I have troubles U-turning in small streets and going down spiral ramps in shopping centres. I blame the turning circle but it's just me being a shit driver. :(
u turns in small streets can be a pain - esp because DC2Rs have issues with getting into reverse sometimes lol.. i have to go to neutral, then first, then neutral then reverse all with a clutch pump in between..
but down spiral ramps in shopping centres? if i can manouvre a dual cab hulix in a shopping centre a teg should be a piece of cake lol..
if your a big guy then yeah a palm roll going right using your right hand could be an issue.. but you got 2 hands yeah.. just use the left one =D
its not just dc2rs its basically all b series hondas, same with my old dc4, dc2 ,delsol, prelude
you talkin about getting the thing into reverse?
i think he is.. mine doesnt happen that often but
yeah neither does mine.. but it seems to happen when im in a rush lol..
i think if you let the car come to a complete stop before trying to slot into reverse it goes in 9/10 for me
i notice it when i dont full clutch when in a rush.. other than that.. its pretty sweet
i blame the turn circle lol.. if i dont need to 3 point turn a U turn.. it wouldnt happen lol
the front is smashed :(
Oh and i just remembered one thing else i don't like about it! THE DOOR OPENS SO WIDE... i've yet to hit another car, but brick walls have happened.
that just sounds like your own stupidity for opening the door into a brick wall. you're tiny as fcuk, so why open it all the way?
When you're holding stuff with 2 hands, and you nudge the door open with your knee, sometimes you accidently open it a notch more than you intended to?
Killa From Manila makes killa lolz.
Why don't you put the things down, open the door, pick the things up then exit the car? Or exit the car then remove items from said car?
Thing I don't like about my Teg, it's slow :(
the stock ride height....could go offroad 4wding with it
on a da, the front wipers cant fold up, pain to wash car lol
or change wipers
its fwd
Seats are uncomfortable on long trips. going to the coast on tuesday is going to be balls.
harden up princess, its really not that bad lol. its not like you have buckets...
Its not that bad, but since I'm traveling tomoz thought I'd post what I'm going to find annoying.
water leaks
1. Poor lumbar support on the seats (I'm getting old, long drives make my back ache)
2. Torque steer
6. No LSD, on my VTiR anyway
7. FWD
3. Crappy plastic top tank on the radiator (I have a new one now)
4. The clutch seems to wear out quickly, but that might just be the way I drive
5. The price of standard exhaust parts (I like to keep it stock)
8. The tightening bolt for the steering requires the sub-frame to be removed (so my mechanic tells me).
The rear boot lip sometimes annoys me when I put heavy things in my boot, but then it is a sports car so I really forgive it for that. I can also forgive it's poor turning circle.
Despite all that, even though I have the money to upgrade, I really can't find another car I'm interested in replacing my DC2 with - apart from an E46 BMW M3, which is outside my price range just now. ;)
For my old dc2 vtir
1. Temperature lever is a bitch to move.
2. Small rear window, hard to see out.
3. Rear water nozzle doesnt work.
How about the things we like about them?
I love DC2s, parts galore and they a freakin awesome to drive on boost with v-tec!
If only they all came as Type-Rs in standard form. They are the ultimate street weapon IMO.
Wouldn't that be something! =P
1. Finding parts in North Queensland
2. Price of replacement parts
3. Cant find a good mechanic for it
1. Oil filter location
2. Lack of lumbar support on seats
3. Shocking stock headlights
4. It's a GSi
5. FWD
6. No turbo
... My mate just got a WRX
*fml*
What's so bad about the stock headlights? Boost it! WRX's aren't that great, nearly as common as Commodores.
dislike:my integra isnt shooting flames
I've owned 2 tegs and personally, have always found the stock lights woeful. Again, personal opinion.
WRX's being common does not change the fact they are a flapping adrenaline rush to drive, and they sound purrrrrty.
It's all in the turbo though, they'd make any car a roller coaster of a ride.
RX-7 spirit R would b in that category
Better than wasting your life in a wheelchair or jail after wrapping one these 'weapons' around a pole...
You can only do so much within the speed limit.
Lol, turn your exhaust into a bunsen burner.
hey hey guys i started the flame thrower thread the one and only !! lol
It's in limp mode :(
This is true. Cops are everywhere now, not to mention cameras, which makes speeding practically an impossibility. A good street car (weapon...?) should be capable and enjoyable within that 0-110 bracket. The rest is irrelevant.
In fact, the term 'street weapon' is pretty ridiculous. Any weapons-grade ability is only ever usable on the track. People who think of a cars as 'street weapons' are the ones who wrap them around poles. Even an Evo, in stock form, is more of a track car than a street car.
Has anyone else had water bubbles come into their tail lights? i've seen it on another teg i inspected when shopping. now its happening to mine. apparently cops can get you for that if they really wanna screw you over? i know you can get rid of it by using a blowdryer, but it'll probs happen when i wash my car again
Yeah, it happens to a lot of Tegs.
Get a drill, and make a couple of small holes at the bottom. It'll allow the water to escape. Mine had water in every bloody light when I bought it, even side indicators. The mechanic said he could source new ones for me, but that it would be much cheaper and easier to drill the holes. Worked a treat.
Could you post a pic of the holes you drilled by any chance? I just wanna see how they look and where abouts you drilled them.
