Cool I'll come over and say high to you next time.
Does any1 no how 2 pull out the standard grille? I've got the 4 top plastic screws out just can't work out way is holdin it still
Remove the front bumper
Remove the front grille
Remove the screws
Remove the clips
Release the bottom hooks of the grille.
Pull out the bottom of the grille to release the upper hooks
Pull out the grille to release the slits from the ribs, then remove the grille.
copy-pasted from the ep3 service manual :) who wants one? lol
haha maybe i should get an OH sticker? yeah i have the same worry when i wanna approach someone else i THINK may be on OH but aren't.. you end up looking like the biggest d-head lol
yeah i had a feeling it was clipped to the front bar! why do you need to remove the grille? replacing it for a mugen?
hey guys click here to download the service manual for our cars.. its only available for 10 downloads.. so please share :) [ZIP FILE - 164MB]
0-60W any good for ep3? if not just gonna get 0-40w
In my opinion just stick with the standard plates and spend the money on mods instead of handing it to the RTA. We all ready give them enough money. :p
im really considering buying some FL projector headlights when im in the states.. they fit with the PFL front bar and bonnet don't they?
hey guys bit of a problem. i cant raise my car back up i have tein superflex. below is a picture of my back suspensionhttp://pic70.picturetrail.com/VOL187.../372971595.jpg
My mechanic tried to raise my car but apparently it doesnt work cause there are only two rings on it. can anyone help me out here?
im so confused cause this other person has 3 thread in his one and the people were saying to unlock the bottom one and twist the whole coilover down?
this is mine with 2 threads?

Thanks
OK, I always count the two rings holding the spring 1 and 2. The third one at the bottom is for the base, not the spring. Up spec coil overs are not just spring height adjustable but also shock body adjustable to a greater range of adjustment. Without going too deep into it, its to do with setting height of the car without disturbing the spring tension/rate.
With yours, (being flex) its just the fronts which has this. What I'm saying is, your car have been lowered (heaps). And the springs should be tensioned relative to the height of the car. If it has been done, I would dwell on it too much, so long as its at your desired height.
As for the rear, like most medium level coilovers, are only height adjustable via spring. There fore there is only two rings. One to adjust the height and one to secure it (locking ring). Normally the bottom one acts a locking ring.
But since yours is down all at way, you can only go up. Twist the top one up and then follow it with the bottom one. To get 1 finger gap on the rear, adjust it so there is about 10-15mm of thread under the bottom ring.
See pic below. When adjusted, both lower and raises the height of shock....therefore car!
But Pic 1, adjusts the car via the spring height, therefore changing the spring tension and rebound ability etc.....Pic 2 adjusts the height of the car without changing spring characteristics.
alright mad so simply just twist the 1st thread on my back to unlock it and then adjust it by rotating the second thread to raise it up and down?
ur da man george ! !
ok ran into a bit of trouble. man im a newb.
http://pic70.picturetrail.com/VOL187.../373013831.jpg
so i got 2 c spanners one on 1. and another one on 2. so i tried twisting the bottom one(2.) anti clockwise and the top(1.) clockwise to try to unlock it but its like not even budging with wd40.
After a few attempts now when i try to turn it both 1. and 2. are moving at the same time. is this meant to happen or is it still locked?
be easier if u took the whole shock off and did it
done it yesterday i got buddy club racing spec dampers in the rears took way quicker then the fronts i mean way quicker like honestly 5-10 mins to take off
but yeah i was a bit lost yesterday with the rings and stuff my mind wasent there but yeah if the rings are turning then thats good
turn the ring to move the spring up to raise the car or u can turn the bottom purch down to make it higher also im pretty sure but yeah will post some pics soon
ok quick update so i manage to loosen it and man that thing was stiff. just a quick question if i want to raise it like 2cm do i just leave a gap of 2 cm(between that red line in the picture)? and when im done i just clockwise the bottom ring to lock it right?

DUE to inundation of PM inbox, i have reuploaded the EP3 Service Manual HERE :) and im pretty sure there's unlimited downloads :) so i hope nobody misses out this time!
BUMP: Earlier question.. do facelift headlights fit on the pre-facelift without need for a new bar etc?
direct fit but need to redo wiring to work
Like mugen B16B said you will need to redo wiring for the high beam to work.
what kind of wiring? and what is the difficulty level on 1 to 10.. 1 being easy and 10 being 'oh my god eff this im buying a toyota'
Nightrider or George will be the right person to explain. It's something to do with an extra wire to make the high beam to work.
yup ask Nightryder or Nepolian for some help mayb they might b able to help u
just ask them to make a wiring diagram of the colors of which ever cable u will need to cut and redo

t1r sells the inverted tie rods steven, im not 100% sure but u might need dc5 rods aswell could someone confirm? i think its to stop the stress on the steering rack when u lower the car more at the front
Nah you just need the Inverted Tie Rods. No need for the DC5's.
