Was going to pick up mah lil bro about 3pm.....usual scRape sesh at his school speedbumps....school kids parents love me.....just holding up traffic....bahahahaha
Give us a beep next time or just yell out OzHonda or something.....LOOOOOOOOOOL
lol I work at chemist warehouse at dalton village on weekends. so you'll prob see my car there :p
mmm, for 18s, preferred profile would be 40. Although even then with the sizing you wanted, the rears would still rub on the rear bumper tab and a bit of the guard. Rolling is still needed.
Of course this is going by the assumption you are like 1 - 1.5 finger gap lows.
where did you roll your guards?how much? i am in melbourne as well
i am now running on 17 x 7.5 +45 so wannna to upgrade to bigger one
and lower on tein SS coilcover
I had it does a while back by Gavin from LowDown Guard Rolling. It used to be 60bux a corner, but now i noticed hes upped the pricing lots =[
Do you have a rear camber kit?
and jzx_andy
them specs with the 10mm spacer may start to rub at the front a bit without fender work.
for the rears, depending how low you are and with camber kit or not, you will rub slightly again.
no i didnt have camber front and rear
60 bux is fair
if more then that ....... thats no good
Hi guys. Got some low offset wheels 18x8 +37 front and 18x9 +32 rear i plan to drop to about 2 finger gap. What i need to know is what tyre sizes should i go for? Lowest profile i wanna go is 45 but would like to know how to get that stretched look with decent amount of rubber.
I'm not sure the 9's will fit....
I would go 8 all round with 225/40 tyres, that should fit fine.
45 for a profile is an aspect ratio, the width of your tire will determine that. eg 225/45 18 - sidewall will be 3.99 inches, 245/45 18 - sidewall will be 4.34 inches. so it will vary depending on width.
http://kgm.tiwing.com/calcs/offsetcalc.htm
Already previously asked if the 9's would fit and replies were "no probs". Some guys here are running 10's/11's if you read the whole thread. 45 profile, i meant about the sidewall. Want a bit of a streched look, but stiil want some rubber on them. Was thinking 225/45 front and 235/45 rear but need to know for sure.
17x9 +17 wouldn't fit the euro would it :(
yeah i am :(
lmao yeah some tsxs are running 17x9 just more worried about the offset... 17 lmao
man I'm noob when it comes to wheels... I don't even know what flush means lmao... I just figured out that 17x9 + 17.. 17 = diameter of the wheel, x9 = the inches of the rim yeah? or something like that and the +17 is the offset...
hellaflush...
Car sitting stupidly low
rims sticking stupidly out (wayyy out of the arches)
stupid camber angles
http://www.drivendaily.org/road/helladumb/
yeah you want something like 17x8 or 9 +30 to 35..that would need guard rolling haha but would sit nicei think. i'm currently 18x8 +38 all round and doesn't rub but it's not flush :(
I like flush :) but + 17 can't fit yeah? whether it's flush or not
Just rock specs like Tranz :)
If you're gonna run at those low offset and wide specs, you gotta be low and probably a bit of tucking with the tyres with the guards for it to look right.
You will also need to run some negative camber to get the rims to sit inside the guards - which means you'll be replacing tyres a "bit" more regularly.
BTW, flush looks great! :)
Hellaflush is too much for me.
your fronts will poke heaps, your rear, you could deal with some neg camber, guard roll, rear tab removed, guard lining removed and light pull.
ha ill be honest my specs are onli just flush, but thats after rolling the guards, revmoing the bumper tab, cutitng the guard liners and a light-med pull of all fenders.
half the time i do think i want more low offset in the rear =D
LOOOL, but i want the disshhh....the lazy way...jsut find something in the right size...bahahaha...money loss....i want to be like chefpeter from TSXclub...LOL
lmao so it will work as long as I get spacers???
LMAO Ok i'll try to explain all the stuff about wheels that you will need to know...
1. 17x9 +17 = Its a 17 inch wheel. 9 inch in width. Offset of +17.
Offset is a measurement taken from the exact middle of the wheel (in terms of the width). The lower the offset, the more the wheel will stick out of the arches. That is, a wheel with +17 offset will stick out more than a wheel with +30 offset, assuming the same width of the rims. On the contrary, a +55 wheel will be sitting well within the wheel guard/arch.
2. Flush means the wheels are pretty close to being in line with the wheel guards. So the wheels arent sitting inside or out of the guards, but pretty much in-line.
Hellaflush are wheels that stick out but with negative camber, fits flush with the guards. (BTW negative camber just means that the wheels are adjusted so that they "slant" inwards towards the car instead of sitting close to being approximately vertical)
3. Spacers - spacers help to reduce your wheel offset - which means it will reduce the offset number, thus causing the wheels to stick out more. Spacers are used to get a more flush or hellaflush look. Not legal in Australia as far as i know.
PS: No, spacers will not help the wheels to fit better if you are talking about the 17x9 +1x offet wheels. It will make it worse and stick out more.
Hope it helps man...
nawwww...LOL...legality....im sure theres something on your car right now that doesnt meet requirements...teeheee.
my tyre wear is pre good man, when its got good alignment =]
im still rockin Tein SS and that isnt that stiff.
But as for the policeman...yeah fair enough.....bahahahahaha
Spacers? nahhh man, spacers make it poke more....LOL
your gonna have to find another set with slightly a higher number in offset like +25 to +35 in between there witht he 9" width.
Ahhh cheers everyone!
Btw Tranz will you be coming to the Melbourne meet this sunday?
Also I saw someone selling Work Emotion CR Kai 17x7.5 rims... I never knew Work made those wheels in 7.5 inches width... these must be fake??
cr kai's did come in 7.5
oh then why isn't it listed on the website anymore :(
http://www.work-wheels.co.jp/catalog/pdf/47.pdf
oh my bad, didn't notice you had 17" there lol. could be rotas
Yeah so the seller probably got ripped from the person who he bought it from originally and they are rotas or fake cais dammm
How would these fit?
Fronts 18x8.5 +32
Rears 18x9.5 +37
Would I have to do any guard modifications to fit these if I was to be lowered to no finger, 1/2 finger or a finger gap?
should fit !
hahahaha well I meant fit as in yeah ... will work but only slight guard roll as tranz stated haha
hahahaha well I meant fit as in yeah ... =[ what he said ^
Well said snYpz :)

Ok another question similar to my other one
How would these fit?
Fronts 18x8.5 +35
Rears 18x9.5 +45
Would I have to do any guard modifications to fit these if I was to be lowered to no finger, 1/2 finger or a finger gap? What size tyres would be suited best for minimal guard work?
not sure 9.5 wide with +45 offset will clear the strut....... might be pushing it.
even if it does clear, you will prob need to do what tranz did.... read above!
+45 is pushing it. My +38 clears but yeah +45 I'm not too sure will probs have to have a better look for reference
Hey boys
Will 18x8.5 +35 all round be pretty flush with a guard roll?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using Tapatalk
with a guard roll and suffcient lowering it'll most likely camber in and sit under the guards with those sizings. it depends on what kind of "FLUSH" you're after.
nice daily flush on the rear is about 9J +20.
ideal specs for nice fitment are anything around 18x8.5 F and 18x9/9.5 R offsets anything between +20 and +30 with a mild stretch on tyre.
if you want it to fit well and not be too drastic go for 18x8 and 18x9 stagger with a 215/40 on the 8 and a 225/40 on the 9.
cheers man. yeah i'm 18x8 +38 all round with a shitty 2-3 finger gap atm so no problems so far obviously haha
Hey guys!
With my new spacers my wheel set-up will be 18x8.5 +27 with rolled guards and slight trimming, front and rear camber kits, and I plan on getting 225/40 tires(currently have 235/40).
How much negative camber do you think I should run front and rear? I want it to look like this!-->
http://www.automotofoto.net/wp-conte...HUMBNAIL-7.jpg
http://www.automotofoto.net/wp-conte...racing-055.jpg
His set-up is 18x9 w/ 225/40 tire but idk the offset. Here is the link for reference.
Thanks ahead of time!! :)
front, -2.5 camber
rear, between -2 to -3.5 of camber. Somewhere there bcoz i dunno if your going to remove the rear bumper tab that connects the rear quarter to the rear bumper.
That was fast! +rep. Thanks a lot.
I want to remove that tab, where would be the best place to relocate it? I have to drill a new hole right? I know members on tsxclub have done it but I have never seen a write-up or anything.
So theoretically 18x8.5 +25 is similar to 18x9.5 +35?
I never relocated it. Few the guys on tsxclub told me not to worry about it. becoz once the tabs were removed, the rear bumper was still intact and was quite hard to move out of place. Only way its gonna go anywhere is if you get someone flying up your butt from behind or u physically stand there for ages ripping the rear bumper with your hands.
Again this is you decision whether you want to remove it or not. I know i was very reluctant to remove it at the beginning. So i just rubbed like nuts on the rears for half a year then one day just decided to remove it and now its all sweeeet. =]
you have 23mm less inner clearance, and it will extend 3mm more. going from 8.5 +25 to 9.5 +35
Yeah, I don't think relocating it is necessary either. What did you do to remove it? Dremel?
anyone tried 17x8 Et47 running on 225/45R17 tyres methinks?
225 on an 8" is a lot of tyre. 47 is a lot of positive offset.
get a tape measure and work it out mate.
if you lower your car at all it's going to be sunken not much different from a stock wheel.
for any sort of flush fitment you need to look around 8.5/9 with offsets in the 20's and low 30's.
225 from memory sits perfectly on a 7.5, thus on 8 it's a tiny stretch
x8 +47 will stick out about 3cm from stock.
Ah yeah. Sucks ai, I wanted to keep my xd9's for a mk5 gti but yerrrr.....
18x10 +35-40 in the rear with 1 finger gap. would there be much negative camber there? LOL i know i'd probs have to run spacers cause it'll hit
If you do it your a legend i think spacers neg camber 4-5 rolled guards and longer studs i think you will need a massive spacer man to be safe
haha i reckon aye. i've been looking at those xxr 521's cause i can't afford lm's LOL. they only go 18x8.5 then straight to 10. not much dish on the 8.5's :( i'll continue looking i guess
Anyone seen this tsx on stancenation http://www.stancenation.com/2011/09/...ng-just-right/
SO LOCO!
http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6196/...209f65ef_o.jpg
lol rears x10 +18 on a 225. close to -10 camber when fully aired.
the same price as tyres for a set of 18x8? :S
you can easily fit 225/40's on a 10.
and another thing, unless you're running a bolt on spacer AND a slip on then longer studs aren't nessecary, especially on a low powered relatively stock car. even then its not really a must-have.
I've tracked my car with 215's on a 9.5 and 30mm bolt on spacer and had not one issue.
ozhonda dudes tend to be pretty scared of the unknown lol
and 10's will fit easier than that guy on stance nation. the reason he has so much camber when aired out is that he's dialled in that much and hasn't got the much of a flare, not to mention theyre a +18 wheel.
if you were to go 18x10 +25 ish with a decent guard pull and about -3 to -4 camber and 225/40 you will be golden.
+35 may hit suspension.
In a few weeks you'll see a local accord euro running the most aggresive yet perfect fitment in AUS. just wait ;)
Yer im going xxr 522 9.5 rear and 8.5 on the front i drive about 600ks a week so im going safe dont want massive camber dont mind my guards rolled
okay boys, just a quick question, and i seriously cbf starting from page 1 to find the answer.
18x7.5
+38offset,
1 finger gap
should be fine without rolling guards, yeah?
Completely safe mate. Will fit easily but won't be flush at all if that's what you are going for. Some of us one here roll on 9.5 so yerrrrr
ahh ok. thanks for the reply!
who knows, i may go a lil wider :)
Im still rim shopping....
Found a Flicket gallery with all the different wheel combo's on TSX/EURO's so ya'll can see what its like in flesh

looking at a set of BBS LM's 18x8 +35... not sure if it neets guard rolling.....
But having a look at the photos... it looks effing wrong out the back... or is it just me?
