They can't do anything other than adjust the subframe. :)
If it was me, I wouldn't want anyone, not even the dealer, adjusting my subframe away from factory specs.

Has anyone just said to the whoever is looking at the drift-to-the-right problem that changing tyres or just changing to the stock 16" solves the problem?
Why are they still looking at major subframe adjustments... wheel alignment etc if it doesn't need it on other brands of tyres?
I can't believe this is still going. The problem now is changing to other tyres will require a lot of reversing of previous adjustments to suit RE040's, assuming it was done for those who had this problem.
Just changing the 2 front tyres will be enough to stop the problem in the first place and use the front RE040 for the back as the 2nd set.
My stock std Euro just came back from 20K service and got the tyres rotated. They swapped front and rear but not left and right. Now it's drifting to the right; especially when braking and the steering wheel twists up to 45 degrees to the right. When driving, I have to fight to keep it from drifting right.
I know it is an aligment issue but could the rotation and balance @ the dealer screw it up so bad?
If the drift is that drastic, it can sometimes be the air pressure (which is easily overlooked). Check that out, top 'em up if they need it and see how you go :)
If its not the air pressure, be sure to take it back to where you had it serviced!
This is probably a little off topic.
I'm planning to replace the stock dunlop tyres on my 2004 Euro lux with a set of Conti Sports Contacts. They have done about 36ks.
My car has been drifting to the right slightly (ie. if I let the steering wheel go, the car will drift to the right by itself and I have to correct the steering left). It only started drifted to the right in the last month of so. I think it may be due to the tyre wear. I have checked the tyre pressure to make sure that it is not causing the drift. My question is should I get a wheel alignment at the tyre shop when the new Contis are put on? The reason I ask is because I read somewhere that the alignment/drifting became worse after a wheel alignment was done. I'm planning to get the tyre shop to provide me with the alignment record. But is it possible for the car to drift when the alignment record shows the correct values?
I checked my tyre pressure today and all is good. Not sure why it's still drifting. The guy at Beaurepairs quote me $50 to align all 4 tyres (laser alignment apparently). Is this a good price? should i go ahead with this or something else you suggest first. Also, do you have any recommendations on a good wheel alignment place?
Had my wheel aligned today. Car seems to go straighter now. no more drifting.
But now the steering doesn't return after a turn like it used to, ie. i have to actively turn it back to get the car going straight. I almost went around a round-about twice. :) Does everyone elses Euro's steering return or not?
the print out of the alignment showed my Front toe was -1.4mm on the left and -2.0mm on the right. and Rear toe was -0.1mm on the right. That was all that needed to be adjusted. after adjustment, it was +0.4mm on left and +0.1mm on right at the front, and +0.6mm at right rear.
They also flipped the 1 tyre on the rim. I wonder why this was done.
another warning on the printout was my rear camber. it is -1.74 on left and -0.49 on right. they said the rear camber wasn't adjustable.
I am seeking your opinion regarding these values and about the now "passive" steering. THanks very much. :)
It's because they set it to toe in.
They put the front toe inwards because that improves straight line stability and reduces pulling to the side when on cambered roads.
Probably because that tyre was worn on one edge.
Only way to get that adjustable is with an ingalls camber kit.
Just an update on the drifting problems Honda facing........
It seems honda CRV doing the same thing, worldwide.
Just one link of the many I have read, Honda seems to be blaming Bridgstone tyres...pffft, what a joke.

Mine still pulling to the right, excessevily under right camber * rubs his right sore shoulder.
That is the question.
If Honda admit that it is the tyre then why did they supply me with two new Bridgestone tyres after much ado?
This however did rectify the issue for a while, then it surfaced again.
At the next service the dealer did something which stopped the car pulling to the right, but now the stearing wheel does not actually come back to center, it has a constant angle to the right while cruising straight and there is more resistance turning left than turning right.
Me ... I'm annoyed, first time Honda owner and really upset with the follow up action for this problem.
Love the car very much, but I'm not sure if I'll ever buy another Honda due to the lack of help and the amount of run around I have had to endure.
They still need to fix this problem.
I had the issue with my 05 Euro and it was finally fixed by getting a proper tyre place to align it as per my specifications.
I also have a2007 CRV Lux and its has no issue at all with tracking.
I replaced my tyres with michelins pilot sports ages ago made no difference at all.........less tramlining maybe due too chunkyness of the tread.
After lowering the car pulling right indentical to when it was stock !!
Have had 5 wheel alignments aswell.....yes i did lower my car but got alignment kits for both front and back no change.
After they adjusted frame fixed drifting on straight road but then caused excessive pulling under right camber *rubbing his sore right shoulder.
I spoke to head office Bridgestone where they told me that they had tested the tyres that Honda aust. had sent them and they assured me that nothing wrong with the tyres !!
I also found another service bulletin some of the extremes they are going too to rectify it's unbelievable

Check it out !!
NOT THE TYRES !!!!
No, CRV gets some half-offroad tyres.
What are your alignment settings (toe and camber) on your car now?
Yes I agree it is a diagnostic bulletin.....
Bulletins released for this problem :- 3rd June 2005, 3rd October 2006 and 12 January 2007 for the same issue !! Strange ??
I think they released 3 bulletins till now and still got issues aaronng, you'de think they would of fixed this issue by now don't you think ?
I'm no expert but why would you adjust the frame if the tyres are faulty....are the tyres going to be the same all the time if they are faulty or would you have to adjust the frame through the life of the tyres? If the tyres are faulty and only pull one side ONLY....then flip them over and should pull to the left.
Read a thread on this where Honda in Canada/America paid for and installed camber kit through dealership cause they couldn't rectify this problem not lowered either, still didn't fix the issue completely but customer was satisfied cause not as severe as before but still evident.
I challenge anyone who has this problem who have had there tyres changed which fixed the problem to come foward 16" or 17" makes no difference which tyres, although high wall tyres masks this slightly but still evident.
Or maybe it's just me cause after several attempts Honda Dealership still can't get my steering wheel straight..something that should be simple operation. This may be the cause of it all, my steering wheel not straight so i think my car pulls to the right, lmao. (quote bulletin above^^^^)
Honda Aust. offered tyres to me Aaronng I declined as this as quoted by SthEastern Service manager himself admitted this wouldn't rectify the problem
My car a bent lemon....
I've got the master cylinder bulletin that has been updated many times since it came out in the 90's, covering almost all Honda models. My 2004 still has the same problem.. they couldn't even redesign it to fix the fault after 14 years. :(
The fix depends on the dealer. I wouldn't have let them adjust my subframe if it was my car. I'd go to a tyre place and put in my own alignment settings. BTW, have you found out your alignment settings on your car yet?
There is a fix in the US where they replace a camber arm because the camber ended up out of spec even from the factory. But since you have the camber kit already, you should be able to get it adjusted to stop the pulling.
Try a different tyre place for alignment. First place I used had the same issue. Steering wheel pointing to the right by a significant amount. What happened is that they adjust only for total toe and not for left and right toe because they were lazy. :(
So, are you able to find out the alignment settings used by your tyre guy during the alignment? When I was driving around your area, I noticed that the roads are slanted the opposite way to the usual camber in. One bend had the road curved to the left but the road was sloping to the right! Very odd experience driving through that with my car as my car is setup such that it tramlines and pulls to the side under camber.
Hi All,
I bought my Euro 2nd hand back in Nov. 07, and when I got it, I did notice it was always pulling to the left and was esspecially noticeable on highway driving. When I got the car, it had just had 2 new front tyres fitted (Pirelli)and the rears were about 3 months old (Michelin). (OEM Honda 17" Wheels)
Today I finally booked the car into Beaurepairs for a 4 wheel alignment. To my suprise, when I went to pick the car up, they didn't want to charge me anything!? They said they couldn't totally fix the problem!? The guy said they had improved it, but could not totally fix the alignment because he said some part somewhere in the steering/suspension must be bent. He said it's not "accident bent", but was probably caused by a pot-hole or curb.
Anyway, driving it home, it felt pretty much perfect. I wont know for sure untill I get out on a flat section of highway. It bothers me though that somethng is not right :( (My other concern was they didn't charge me because they did something to my car that I don't know about yet, but I doubt it.)
Please see attached the before/after adjustment values. Do these values look within spec.? Should I be worried about this?
S.
^^ Your alignment specs look within specs after the alignment.
Mine MY05 Euro, now on different than oem 040 tyres (some kind of Kumho I think, can't remember, its been on for last 15K Kms), pulls constantly to the left these days, after laser alignment. Its been like this since day 1 after changing the tyres. Before that, it was neutral but more susceptible to pulling right than the left. Now its the opposite.
As I'm said numerous times, it doesn't make a lot of sense to blame it on the OEM tyres. Don't compared 16s with 17s either, big profile difference.
Something wrong with the design somehow. I'm sure if I wanted to follow up the issue a bit more I could fix the problem as it was rather neutral before.
I just didn't think it bothered me enough in my situation, although for others I could envisage it being a bit of a pain always fighting the wheel.!
thread reviver. Just wanted to ask a few questions about the euro leaning on one side. My euro pulls really hard to the right, and it can be shown now since my outside of the tyre is completely worn. I have gone for 2 suspension checks. The first one told me I needed my front lower control arm replaced because it is bent, causing a postive camber on the right. The second mechanic however, told me to replace the UPPER control arm so I can replace the ball joint and rectify the positive camber. All I want to know is, will adjusting the camber to negative but ignoring the "slightly" bent control arm an issue??
Thanks all!!
I just ordered a front camber kit for my car, then i'll see how it goes. The mechanic at the workshop told me it was a "possible" bend and it would be 0.5mm max. He also said that most cars aren't really straight anyways from hitting kurbs and potholes, and that it should be fine. Seeing as you recommended me to replace the arm aaron, I might replace it if the problem still persists. Then that means it will be my fourth allignment this year.....damn do I feel my wallet getting light from just the allignments.....
Which suspension place did you visit to get your suspension checks done? My rear passenger tyre keeps shreading itself every 3 months even after getting wheel alignments done over and over, though I am lowered without a rear camber kit, but what bothers me is why dont both the rear tyres wear the same as each other because of the hardcore camber. I've noticed either I tramline like a tram or wear the passenger tyre out like its made of cheese.
HAHAHA the way you put it is so funny....I did my check at a local Pedders service centre. Yes I have a rear camber kit as well. I'm not sure about tyre wear as I haven't travelled a lot since. Looking at all the pages in this thread, this does seem to be a huge problem for euros, and this proportion is just the people that have discovered ozhonda!!! I've asked my brother about tramlining in the CL7 and apparently is it next to none or just a little bit. Perhaps we have a different steering setup. Im not sure.
Yeah i'm having the same issue, my car pulls to the right, it use to pull to the left, then after a wheel alignment it seemed okay, really forgot when it started pulling to the right. can anyone recommend a good wheel place i can take the car to? i'm hesitant to go back to bob jane in doncaster cos originally they said they couldn't work on my car cos its too low and the equipment they had i assume are outdated cannot caliber the alignment proper anyway at the end they said could do it, to this day i really wonder what they did. i'm running on 18inch with eibach pro springs with no camber kit, anyone with similar setup having same problem?
For me, it depends which way the road is inclined. If the road is inclining downwards towards ur left, then the steering goes to the left. My tyres may just be too thin of a profile and is the reason why I get severe pull to one side :( This happens when I'm driving and coming to a stop.
