sounds pretty damn good actually
yea, i am pretty happy with this price, I was thinking to get 08 model with all these options for 25k.. but 09 model for 26.1K is alright too i guess. now gonna look for car insurace. Honda quote me $1629pa!!
They also have this Smart Memebership Auto repair, do you think i should take it up?
dont know anyhting about the membership auto repair thing, but yeah the insurance is pretty damn expensive, i actually forgot the quote they gave me at first, but they said NRMA can give u 5% discount on it =]. so i took that up hehe. wasnt too bad in the end, except the civics seem to have a high insurance rate? i think anyway...
hey guys i got the civic vti manual 09 in sparkling grey yesterday.... damn good car :)
whats a good price to pay for an ex-demonstrator?
Im from Perth and new to this forum. I had a quote yesteday for $26000 driveaway for an 09 manual VTi (met paint but nothing else). I know that prices in WA are often slightly higher than the eastern states, but heck this is ridiculously more!
The dealer's official pricelist shows $26500 driveaway, and the salesguy wasn't willing to go lower than $26k!:thumbdwn:
Well dont give them the benifit of your sale. Go elsewhere.
I hate car dealers. My g/f paid 28k with no extras and by the time she paid for all the other b/s (warranty/roadside assist etc etc).. It was just under $31k.
Hey all, just wondering if 24.5k for a 08 auto VTi is alright? Trying to bargain with them more about extra accessories but haven't had time yet.
Thanks
my uncle bought a vti 09 auto for 25700.. drive away..no options tho
anyone knows any honest dealer down brisbane? im looking for a decent deal on a 09 vti auto. thanks
09 auto vti
27000 with floor mats and parkin sensor
I got a MY09 civic auto VTI black for $27k with full bodykit (front rear spoiler and side skirt)
Hi guys I got my 2009 VTI-L with
Bonnet Protector

6 years warranty
Paint Protection
UV Shield/Tint
For 26000 driveaway. Did I get ripped off?
26K for a vti-L...
maybe i got ripped off?
lol... we need a whole new thread for those who got ripped... including me when i bought my vti...
07 vti.. auto
accent lighting
reverse sensors
interior trim kit
bass works
for 26,900 :(
But that was well over a year ago, in the end I don't care .. 1.5k isn't really all that much money...
Apologies for the misunderstanding that was after a 4000 dollar trade in for a 96 CXI with 165000 which was in a "not-so-good" condition :S...still I figured that it was worth more than 4000 :S...
trade-in = byebye value.
auto or manual?
we need to differentiate between auto and manual.. ive been reading through this..and alot of people miss out on this.. its the difference between 1grand..
Auto 1996 Civic CXI with 165000 km. Local mechanic told me that I needed about $1000 work on it to make it "roadworthy"....
best price i have ever seen, brother picked up an 08 manual vti for 20,500 on road with bonnet protector and mats
hey people new to the forum. was looking at purchasing a new 09 or 08 VTi Auto, what are the going prices at the moment? not sure whether to look at the new 09 model or save a bit on a run-out 08 model. only extras i would be looking at would be alloy wheels.
any help would be greatly appreciated
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. Just have a quick question, what is the drive away price for 2009 Civic vti now? Thx!!
Because they try get you into a contract without the option of getting out and charge you more than the RRP of the car.. If she was charged a high price but the accurate price maybe it wouldnt have been as bad... The next morning i tryed to sort things out with the dealer but they couldnt care less, they had convinced my g/f to sign something which locked her in and they were grinning from ear to ear from the price they actually were getting. The manager was quiet rude on the phone...It was not explained properly to her and she thought she had 3 days cooling off when infact she was manipulated into signing the waiver to remove this cooling off period. The dealer who sold us the car was telling me how he ripped someone off with one of his peronal cars back in the day when he was trying to be friendly with me. Not really what i wanted to hear. Walking into the dealership i could see the manager flirting with one of the female staff who worked there, this made it look very unproffessional to me also.
I dont like to rip people off personally, they do. To put it simply, this is why i dislike them. Maybe i'm stereotyping here but i dont care. Until i have a better experience with a car dealer this is how i will think of them... leech's.
It seems that being a dealer is like survival of the fittest, you gotta rip people off to get anywhere.
My mrs was silly to go in there without looking more into things first, yes. I don't doubt this at all and was equally frustrated at her. The way they deal with people who dont have much confidence and experience in buying a new car sucks. She had no idea what she was getting herself into. They manipulate. She thought she had a deal until i talked to her because thats what she was lead to believe.
She was even supposed to get a full tank of fuel, it had only 3/4 of a tank, only a small detail i know but still frustrating.
Whats done is done, shes happy with the car now at least...
One thing i can say is the service experience i had at this particular dealership was top notch. Her P/S pump shit itself 1 week after taking the car. The service on this side of things was great. So it was not all bad.
To the post above, goto www.honda.com.au they have all the RRP prices of all the new models on there.
Took delivery of my 09 Civic Vti last week. Got it for $24.8k driveaway. Its a manual with metallic paint, 12mths rego, 5 yr warranty, carpet mats and full tank of fuel. Not quite a bargain, but still happy with what i got :)
Hey guys. Im in the market to buy a new 09 VTI-L civic. I currently have a 94 civic gli.
Any one know of good honda dealers in Sydney, or anywhere I am willing to travel for a good deal
2 mates bought civic with me, VTI silver auto for 25k and VTI black manual for 23.3k both 09 model with carpet.
I see on honda website, they have an offer for manual transmission. Should I expect the same thing on auto one?
http://www.honda.com.au/wps/wcm/conn...Latest+Offers/
i jus rang a few dealers...
27500 for a new vti, 32k for vti-l and 46k for a type r
wot a joke
aussie dollar for the lose
I jus rang random ones. You can haggle with them, but still there wont be too much of a difference I think, or am I wrong?
I jus feel 27500 for a vti is too much money for it..if it was 23-24k id think thats reasonable
One dealer explained its all coz of the dollar and in april to expect further increases.
i dont know about sydney.. but if you are in melb you can get it for much cheaper. You can get Vti L manual with couple extra options for 27500 here.
Just bought our white Civic VTi auto 09 model yesterday for 26k drive away.
We got rear parking sensors, fog lights, luggage protector tray and exhaust finisher in the package as well.
Should be taking delivery within the month, can't wait :D
Got a 2009 model 11/08 build 09 complied auto silver no extras for 24k driveaway, figured ill do mats later from dealer and tint elsewhere
will be interesting to see what some people get in the next few months....these prices ur getting now will be a thing of the past

29g driveaway VTI auto
hearing all this im happy i got my 08 model lol
glad I just got my 09 model FD2 as well :)
anyone have a price listing of the optional extras that come with a civic?
So far in the market looking for a vti-l auto with sunroof(sounds silly but can't justify paying upto 37K for the sports) so far best quote is approx $31,200
what i've gathered so far
Pearls & Metalic 395 (495 for white)
Tint 450 (assuming honda?)
Matts 167
Rear Park 520
Looking at prices for
Fogs
Bassworks
bluetooth
Door Visor
Not sure either but that was what the dealer told me, if you want white with pearls and metalic in white costs an extra $100
probably will need to clear that up with them again, but everytime i asked in white for the pearls they would say 495
Look at the honda australia site (www.honda.com.au).
If you research it, you can find which are the dearer paintjobs.
my friends agent told me they gonna increase the price this coming april...:(
Man this thread is still going. Hope it's helped out a lot of people.
Just placed an order today, getting it in 3 days time:
09 built & complied auto VTi
bluish-slilver
mats
reverse parking sensors
exhaust tip finisher
premium plates
full tank of petrol
honda cap
26K drive-away
I have been quoted 25800 for an automatic VTi drive away with no extras or
27000 for the following extras:
floor mats
front & rear mud guards
pollen filter
metalic paint
plate covers
chrome exhaust finisher
tinted windows

I got this quote for a family mmber who was looking for a new car. He was really happy about the price because he wasn't able to get the same offer I did. However, he'd already signed up for a VW Jetta instead.
Just put a deposit down for a manual black Vti-L frive away with, floor mats, and dealership extended warranty and roadside assistance. All for 27000.
win?
yea that about the best price you can get now i think.. my friend got Vti-L auto for $29k with just floor mats.
I am haggling for a white 09 vti manual with alloys spot lights and mats.
What do people think would be a good drive away price :)
2 dollars..=)
grats on the car, looks like you got a better deal that we did, we could've gotten so much more lol
09 built VTi
Black Pearl
Mats
$23.5k drive away, pick up on monday =)
does anyone know if its possible to add accessories like fog lights at a later date, like at the first or second service?
That's a good price. It's possible to add accessories any time, however, you can usually negotiate a much better price on the accessories when you bundle it up with the new car purchase. You will now be paying top price if you go for genuine Honda accessories but shop around and get quotes from various dealers. You will be suprised how much a quote can vary from dealer to dealer.
yeah that sounds like a reasonable price IMO...
hmm ok price
having said that i got the auto with all of the above + spoiler + paint protection for 2k more (which is prob the diff between auto and manual models)
prices went down from when i bought mine in 2007
Whats a good price for vti-l driveaway (auto). I am looking at buying one soon. i have been quoted 29500 at the moment with no extras. prices seems to have gone high
yeh man the prices are pretty crazy, expect another rise by end of the year.
Hi, i'm new to this forum. Currently drive Aurion sportivo zr6 and would like change it for Civic Vti-L model.
So I went to Yarra Honda vic and got quoted for Demo Auto Vti-L done 6,600km (6 months old) for $28,000 drive away plus 2 years or 40,000km FREE services. You guys think its worth it to take this car considering some quotes above for brand new auto Vti-L is around $29,000-$29,000.
Ta.
