Does anyone know the difference between a 'memory 1' and 'memory 2' key?

This guy is selling both, but the mem2 one is $10 cheaper. If there's no difference for us here, i might as well save $10. What do you all think?
memory 1 is for driver key
memory 2 is for spare key
as you normally drive your vehicle, the seat will remember each memory key position

This step will program the lock, unlock, and panic buttons to work with your Element. It has nothing to do with the immobilizer chip! 5. Upon the 4th turning of the key to “ON”, press the lock button on one remote, the locks will make a cycling sound (clunk), locks will NOT lock or unlock at this point, they will just make a noise. The system is now in programming mode. Do not turn key off.
6. Within 5 seconds of entering programming mode and within 5 seconds of each other, press the lock button ON EACH remote you are programming, for a second or so and release. This step needs to be completed within 10 seconds. Each time a remote button is pushed, the locks should cycle. Up to 3 remotes can be programmed.
7. Turn ignition completely off and remove the key. Step out of car and close door.
8. Don’t overlook this step! On the new switchblade key, hold down the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for a few seconds. This removes the memory feature.
9. The remotes should be programmed and should work.
So there you have it!!! let us know if it works k!

It looks like these both operate in the 313.85Mhz range. I guess I should check the battery of the Acura remote next. The LED lights up, but it is possible the power is not strong enough to actually produce a strong enough or correct signal.

As per my earlier post, the CU2 switchblade key from US has a different frequency to the CL9 key. If you have a CL9 like me dont bother!

hey mate, this key cannot be programmed to unlock and lock the car because the frequency is different, i thought i mentioned before already.... however you could program its immobilize chip in order for you to use it to start the engine and unlock the car from driver's door...Quote:

Hi! all, I bought 08 tsx key and TL key from ebay for my 07 Euro(CL9), Unfortunately, the remote function of both not working on my CL9, i did lot of research and found only way can make switchblade key work is replacing the master switch or the frequency receiver ( same thing) which is located at the driver side door. using US accord or TSX one, I have orded one ($80)and will get it next week, dont know will succsess or not, i will give my feedback after i try it!
