Does anyone know the difference between a 'memory 1' and 'memory 2' key?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2009-...7918QQtcZphoto
This guy is selling both, but the mem2 one is $10 cheaper. If there's no difference for us here, i might as well save $10. What do you all think?

memory 1 is for driver key
memory 2 is for spare key
as you normally drive your vehicle, the seat will remember each memory key position

sorry for the late reply guys

is it possible to use my original key to do the programming?
as in using my honda key to start the car but using the acura key when programming?

Finally I've been waiting for this!!!! so how about the Freq?? is it in the 433.9Mhz like cl9??
Anyway I copy this step from some website for Acura TL switchblade key, please note I don't know if this works on euro so here goes:
This step will program the lock, unlock, and panic buttons to work with your Element. It has nothing to do with the immobilizer chip! Programming the buttons to work with your Element can easily be done by you. The dealer does NOT have to perform this step for you (unless you feel like wasting your money).
Programming the remote:
Have all remotes for the vehicle on hand.
Make sure all the doors and rear hatch/trunk are closed during programming.
You only need to use one remote to get into program mode but all remotes must be programmed during the same session.
Each step must be completed within 5 seconds.
1. Sit in the car with all doors/trunk tightly closed.
2. Turn the key to the ON position, marked by “II” on the ignition bezel so the dash lights come on, then within 5 seconds press the “Lock” button on the remote for 1 second or so and release the button.
3. Turn the key to the OFF position, marked by “I” on the ignition bezel - dash lights go off.
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 three more times (A total of 4 times) - each step must be done within 5 seconds of the previous step.
5. Upon the 4th turning of the key to “ON”, press the lock button on one remote, the locks will make a cycling sound (clunk), locks will NOT lock or unlock at this point, they will just make a noise. The system is now in programming mode. Do not turn key off.
6. Within 5 seconds of entering programming mode and within 5 seconds of each other, press the lock button ON EACH remote you are programming, for a second or so and release. This step needs to be completed within 10 seconds. Each time a remote button is pushed, the locks should cycle. Up to 3 remotes can be programmed.
7. Turn ignition completely off and remove the key. Step out of car and close door.
8. Don’t overlook this step! On the new switchblade key, hold down the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for a few seconds. This removes the memory feature.
9. The remotes should be programmed and should work.
So there you have it!!! let us know if it works k!

doing abit of research on the Acura TL 2007-2008 switchblade key
2008 Accord Key:
FCC ID: KR55WK49308
IC: 267T-5WK49308
5WK49308
Siemens VDO
2007 Acura Key (Memory 1): <--- that's exactly the switchblade i purchased
FCC ID: OUCG8D-439H-A
IC: 850G-G8D439HA
COFETEL: RLV0MG806-302
It looks like these both operate in the 313.85Mhz range. I guess I should check the battery of the Acura remote next. The LED lights up, but it is possible the power is not strong enough to actually produce a strong enough or correct signal.

As per my earlier post, the CU2 switchblade key from US has a different frequency to the CL9 key. If you have a CL9 like me dont bother!

hey mate, this key cannot be programmed to unlock and lock the car because the frequency is different, i thought i mentioned before already.... however you could program its immobilize chip in order for you to use it to start the engine and unlock the car from driver's door...
i think you are using the same key as me, right? 07TL switchblade key which operating in 313.85Mhz

however, our key is operating in 433.9Mhz, pic below is our key.... (our cl9 key is not made by Siemens but Omron)
