Haha nah just asking and learning about all the in and outs of tyre fitment :) I do know stretching is only needed for looks and clearance of large diameter rims haha.
Might go with 210 or low 200s with RE002
I've put up some pictures on my introduction post under "Greetings" sorta see what my wheel fitment is like 18x8.5 +35 =] Cheers
but with a 7.5" rim there's so much guard space
Well reason I know is Ive tried a few tyre combos in my time and I know what it looks like.
Im running 195/45 on 7.5 now and its hardly even stretched, just a slight angle
205 is all thats needed my mate has 225 on a 9" rim with only a bit of stretch
Thanks for the help guys probably going to grab 205 !
nvm LOL
whats up haha :P
just wondering if its gonna be hard for you to find re002s in the specs that you want
205/40R17
This would fit wouldn't it?
What's the 40 meaning?
profile size.
Yer go 45 i reckon . Just look at stock euro sizes get them. You onky have .5 of an inch wider
guess i just like my stockies bubbly lol
go 205/30 LOL
Don't stretch 7.5s on stock ride height. You'll look spastic. Even lowered you won't need stretching on those rims.
18x9 i think im getting im worried about offset though. Would +30 clear the struts. And would + 20 poke too much
Yer man front camber kit can wait till i get the wheels. Rear camber kit already installed. Guard work when i get wheels. Just think worried about the offsets not sure which to get
9 at the fronts pretty wide ay, im running 8 +30 and like it just sits under the guard nicely with it rolled. x9 +35 at the rear and i could probably go a little wider, guards are rolled. depends on tyres too, i ran 9.5 +45 before, it woulda been sweet but my tyres were too fat, fml. was rubbing against the guard and rear bar
Hey guys,
Will 18 x 8.5 +40 sit within the guards of a cl9? Judging by the comments on the thread, it seems it like it will be fine, no rubbing etc. but need some thoughts.
Im sitting on Eibach Pro kit which is about 2 finger gap. Will camber kit need to be required?
While im at it, thoughts on Rota SVNF Matte Black on a white cl9 facelift
http://www.rotawheels.com.au/product...f-18-x-8'5
wait so +30 I need to roll?
lol got my wheel alignment done today the guys left one of my bolts out so camber is out of whack again. oh gosh
honestly, if ur running 18x9 +30, and ur tucking, u probably wont get away with it. depending on the tyre stretchness too. see im runnng x9 +35 at the back, and well since my cars low, its running negative natural camber, but if i didn't roll the guards, from what i can remember, the guard lip is pretty fat in the rear, and i would most definately say it will rub/make contact. honestly, if ur gunna get big wheels, just get ur freaking guards rolled. end of story.
^agreed
Whats the use of a 9"wide On a euro anyway?
It's not like we are pushing 300hp out the rear wheels.
uhhh.. when has ever modding have to soley to with performance upgrades? infact, what exterior/cosmetic upgrades on euro do people actually want performance enhancements
we run 9" so it fills the guards and sits flush for aesthetics.....
aesthetics ftw :)
Yer i like both. Thank god i got coilovers only takes a raise and chuck on track rims and your sorted
Hi guys enquiring on behalf of a friend
18x8.5 +40 and 18x9.5 +42
Would it fit and anyone has pix of euro in similar specs??
18x8.5 +45 and back is 9.5 +45

need guards rolled 100%. i have no camber kit. i couldnt run these wheels, cause the tyres. i had 45 sidewall profiles and no stretch. with id say 35, maybe 40 with alot of stretch, it woulda been ok. but i did hear it rubbing on something like metal on metal. not sure what that was about.
but tranz is running the same widths, but with +25 offset, but with guard work also and a camber kit. so they will fit.
Thanks mwaku, 215/40 and 235/40 with guard roll should be fine then
probs ur rears rubbing the strut dude... really wide specs + high offset could mean bad stuff.. not to mention that ur also running neg camber which just brings the top half of the rim/tyre even closer than normal :/
best you check your clearances mang! looks good though.. i kinda went thru a phase where i wanted/test fitted some gold/chrome lipped VS-XX's or BBS rims haha, looks the goods on white :)
im running 9's on the rear with +65 (s2k specs fml...) had to shave my coils down so far, still didnt work had to get 25mm bolt ons...
still rubs with ppl in the car...
haha for some reason it only came from the right side?
yeah ive been through both vs-xx and bbs lm, would go bbs lm anyday
Hi Guys,
Just need a bit of help, thinking of getting rims with specs:
(fronts) 18x8 Offset +45 with Tyres (225/40)
(rear) 18x9 offset +43 with Tyres (245/40)
Would they sit flush with those tyres and offsets, I believe the fronts will be fine but im worried about the rears since it is wider and larger wheel size.
I don't want to really do any fender work, and the car is lowered on coils with about 1.5 finger gap all round.
Thanks.
Probably would need years rolled tbh and you may hit yourvtrut with that offset go for maybe +35 but id go lower
you'll rub at the rears if u are tucking, otherwise if ur not, then u still run a risk of hit hitting the guard when you get to bumps/ramps
Getting a quote for VIP Modulars
19x9 +20
19x10 + 20
will find a way to make it fit lol..
If you love the rims, you'll make it fit!
what do you guys reckon about 5 spoke work equips with the whole centre powdercoated white/pearl white on a PWP euro?
around 9-9.5" with mid-high 30s offset... would it look good?

EDIT: found pic! SO keen now... time to troll yahoo japan!

honestly, any design of aggressive stance wheels on a dumped euro looks good. see you could pull it off if ur car was sitting pretty mean, but imo, if its not going to get dumped, it will look shiet
lol one finger gaps still pretty mexican
not much lower, probably like 10-15mm at the front between tyre and fender, and rears tucking about 1-3cm over tyre
lol @ Mexican
On stocks im running a no finger gap come on you can do it
Yer im raising it tomorrow i was peer pressured lol i can't even get in to car parks and it looks whack. But i defiantly wouldn't want genital herpes that ship would travel to my hand super quick
Wasn't my voice lol
Anyone running around 9" with +35ish offset on here? what guard work did u have to do to get it to fit? (hoping just a roll!)
every 3 ****ing pages someone asks the same/similar width. ffs
lol..
if ur tucking or close, u will need ur guards rolled. also depending also how much stretch and natural camber.
I'm running 18 x 9, +35 on zero gap all around with 225/40/18 tyres. You would definitely need a guard roll and a slight pull (I had my guards pulled approximately 5mm). As previously mentioned by others, it would be best if you got yourself a set of both front and rear adjustable camber arms. I'm running F2.4deg and R1.5 deg. It sometime scrubs in the rear bumper tab when I go over some dips/bumps in the road.
wheels came in today.
spec: 18x8 +35
still thinking weather to get 235/40/18 or 225/40/18
someone wanna lead me to the right direction?
lowered on 1 finger gap atm on 16" stockies. lol..
i think 225 is the best for 8 inch wide. 215 for stretch. 235 will be a bit fat
thanks for the reply MWAKU.
i might just go with the 235/40 for the lil bit of fat.lol

lol whats the max width and offset you can run at the rears with just natty camber, guards rolled. tuck is about 5mm.
slightly rubbing against my rear bumper tabs around corners... can anyone give a diy on how to shave the tabs? is it even possible to shave part of that plastic without relocating the tabs?
cheers!
just cut them tabs, dont bother relocating them. ChefPeter from TSXClub told me they barely make any diff being there. So i cut off with a stanley knife.
I dont rub there anymore and the holding of the rear quarter to the rear bumper is practically the same.
why does it rub? i was running 9.5 but 45 sidewall on an 18" and it was rubbing too. but wouldnt it fix if i ran a 40 sidewall?
Please peoples, start posting pics of your low offset wheels in this thread!
