I'm planning to change my oil + oil filter at the 80km mark.
I'm thinking 10w-40? but which type/brand?
Is there any DIY tutorials out there on ozhonda? If so, would be great if anyone can link me! Or provide me with some tips (first time DIYer, first car)

Use ron91 unless timing is advanced . 98 won't really give you much gain. For filter just get a decent ryco. And oil just get a recommended weight oil from a decent brand. don't over think it

It's actually under 100km. Quite low for the car! Almost hitting 80km soon-
I think I can go as thin as 5-30 but 10-30 should be pretty standard :) hmm

If you feel the need to go ahead haha. But anything decent should be fine, i.e Penrite, Castrol, etc. Avoid Magnatec.
At one of my local shops, I'm picking up Penrite 10w-50 for under $50 for a 5L bottle. I figure that's thin enough to save my car from the short trips I always end up doing and still being useful when I go someplace stinking hot.... With that wide a range of weightings, I do change every 5000kms, but every time, that oil is a beautiful colour... translucent and gently brown.
Yeah sounds fair. But remember that the more range an oil has , the more additives and shit added to it

Mhmmm mhmm.. last oil i ran was 10-30w oem honda oil..... and the time before that 10-40w royal purple..
currently running 5-30w oem honda now and have done about 2k kms with the oil and still going good.
I used motul Xcess 5-40w. Everything I changed the oil it came out golden/brown.
10-40w is more suited to high powered turbocharged vehicles. Try another full synthetic oil that is 5-30w
Did you use the same oil filter on both occasions?
I used Castrol VMX80 in my gb plus Nulon treatment. It was good for about 8000km when I noticed it was getting harder to shift and slight grinding in 3rd.
Changed to valvoline Duragear Gl4 synthetic. Been a happy camper since.
Ask any reputable tuner. They all go Synthetic.
