What car/engine/budget?
Try this thing called NOS. but don't blow your self to pieces
Easiest is probably weight reduction.
Octane Booster helps. Especially if you've been running 91 RON all this time.
Flux Capacitor. What i used to run 13.8 in my dc2.
But for real now. Dont get a CAI pipe. They have been shown to loss power, and not forget screw your motor when they suck water in. get a pod in a box and run some 4" hose for cold air intake.
Lighter cars a faster car.
Lighter wheels reduce unsprung weight.
Loss weight. No point reducing the cars weight if you fat and weigh over 100kg. easy 30kg right there
Exhaust system
tune to 98 octaine
Turbo
full exhaust with a de cat pipe system that's quick install but a good $600-800 not sure on what power gains anybody got any input please ?
car is just a d15 lol..
anyone else heard that you get more kms out of 95 than 98?
dont run a pod, youll turn gay...
no such thing as a cheap mod that will make you go fast in a d series.... maybe get a bigger exhaust or a bigger intake manifold/throttle body, small/stupid mods = no noticeable power gain, maybe a whole killowattt
D15, that's your biggest problem. Go cheap turbo (maybe $3k) unless you wanna tear the whole thing apart and do a full rebuild with new low and top end internals.
Keep the money in the bank, and save up for a real motor. Thats the best way to go faster.
Find a steep hill.
Otherwise, that start button should do the trick.
get a dohc vtec decal
or even. a type R sticker
paint rocker cover red.
red H badge
let me drive it !!
Lol Dave, the Vti might be getting alot more power over summer, expect a much quicker car at the Nats.
Seriously chuck on some lower profile tyres to reduce rolling diameter, shouldg ive you a little more accelaration. Get a proper tune, lose some weight and wax ya bonnet daily !!
I can supply a final drive for your d if you are willing to pull apart the gearbox
the new mighty car mods magazine has 69 ways to make your car faster!
the easiest way to make any car faster is to go to the toilet before racing .
Make sure its the big ones
doing it wrong.

before the next cruise, i plan to strip my rear seats out, because the rera carpet is mounted to the amp and sub. so much weight to be gained there, also gonna put her on a weighbridge to compare it to stock.
As much as i regard Weight as a factor affecting your speed; this is the 'noob' forum and i'll have my opinion regardless.
I think anyone who 'strips' interior trimming, seats, dash components, luxury items or even goes as far as going without fire extinguishers, a basic sound system, a spare wheel, etc..Just to make your car a little faster.
Is a complete tosser.
And you're even more-so of a tosser, if your car has little to no power/modifications to start with.
I have more than enough power, and i kept my A/C, P/S, Sunroof, Cruise Control, my nice and comfy 5-seater Accord interior, Speakers+Headunit, spare tyre.. And i even added a Fire Extinguisher just incase.
TIME, MONEY, EFFORT.
If you're not willing to spend atleast 2 of the above 3 when modifying your car for Power, don't bother reducing your weight at the cost of having a 'nice car'
Agreed 100%.
Most cruises want 'cruisy' driving.. Not speeding/racing.
20KG of back seats won't affect your 'crusing' ..Except for when you stop, and all the other guys snicker at your motley interior.
If you wanted Luxury, you wouldn't buy an EG.
That said, if you wanted a quick car on the street you wouldn't buy an EG either.
thats a nice opinion u got there, unfortunately i have nipples too not everybody wants to see them :P
either way, my car is a shit box, so the interior doesnt really matter, ontop of that i blew out all my old speakers so the sound system wont matter, i just wanna go there and listen to vtec not music.
yeh most cruises want cruisy driving, i think connor wants that, but it seems that if ur behind someone else they go faster then u go faster and it continues.
we go quite slow what you on about!
it's those bigger cruises which i avoid
when i say fast i mean 70km/h by the way
70km/h in a 100km/h zone, because honda crusies are responsible guiez.
Let's all strip our interior and race to see who can reach 70km p/h first.
Count me in for the sprint too 70km/h haha
Ntsrs
That makes no sense Billy Maddison, 0 points for you.
Your 0-70 Acceleration times (Compared with a non-ruined interior) won't greatly impact your travel time, to/from anywhere.
How well you maintain that 70km/h will greatly affect it though.. And Weight doesn't stop you from keeping a constant speed.
You just need to run red-lights, swerve through traffic and use bus lanes and footpaths wherever possible.
THAT is the true way to 'get there fast'
Maybe you should buy a Motorbike for that though!
nah ill drive between other cars in the civic, if they are in there lane properly and im going to sandwhich in i hope they have neck belts installed!

lighter the car the easier it is to change the speed and direction of the vehicle given that the appropriate/proportionate engine power and suspension is there.
Most noticeable/realistic
HD Clutch and light Flywheel.
thats only true if we are in space where there is no gravity.
friction = friction cofficient * Normal force, if at level, the normal force is mass*gravity.
more weight, more friction.
so in order to keep constant speed to overcome friction (slowing down), you need more power.
or less mass?
or lower friction co-efficient?
Bad thread bros.
car was so fast today made it to 75!!! woot
I did 220 suk my dik
but what about reaching 70?
