Hey people, anyone know if its possible to have the tape deck removed on the s2k and replaced with a dvd player? i dont think you could but maybe its possible with some brands? See i dont want to put a screen on the dash. cheers:thumbsup:

you can fit any dvd player with a fold-out screen
hmm i thiought there isnt enough room for it to open the screen up, does the original 6 stacker work with a new head unit?
dvd wont fit unless you cut it into the dash

ohh so its like the integra setup.. you cant put it in a lower DIN space sooo i dont see any way of fitting a screen WITHOUT some customising.
at my work i knoe for a fact that the only dvd screen we've been able to fit in an s2000 is the JVC KD-AVX 11 or the 33 or the 44. Though kenwood have brought out a headunit which is pretty much identical to the 33. No single din flip out will fit.
want a screen in your car? sell the s2k and buy something that you can fit a screen to...
there is no way without a big $$$ custom job to get a screen in there, the other problem you will find is that your shifter will start slamming into the screen...
dont believe me? then do for your life and come back here to show us 'how' you did it :)
you can put a screen in there iv seen it done the gap behind the dash is empty you can just cut in a 1 din and it will fit fine you will also need to the make a bracket from behind to hold it im trying to find a pic that i can show you how ppl have done it but no luck yet

its not full custom that car is just really tricked out but i have seen lots of s2ks with that setup its only beacuse the dash has nothing behind there, beacuse in the jdm vertion there was a gps there ill try and get a photo up close if i see one its funny i havent seen many online but iv seen around 4-5 on carsales in the the past year with that setup

this is the only setup i can find right now ill try and find the single din one with fold out screen, but if you look at the pics you can see there is plenty of room to put a dvd player in there
ive tried to put the flip out single din tv in , lol but it just doesnt work man hits the gear nob and doesnt flip up cause of the heater but here are some examples or peoples work from the us http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=623764

an s2000 is not the car you want to go sideways in watching a dvd, thats my personal opinion on this whole thread :D
Honestly (just curious), what is your intention of such a signature? Is it an indirect way of being up yourself...or do you genuinly want to talk to someone "skilled at car audio"? Also define "Skill" Engineering skill, installation skill...are we talking volumes, Qs values, frequency Response or are you talking about the great skill of selecting a brand/model and getting your local JB Hi-Fi to install it?Quote:

Most of us have been there tried that already and can give you the proper advice rather than people who says it does fit, when we clearly know it doesn't.

They have 2 models of DVD-player+ GPS+Buletooth+TV+ipod on the market at the moment.
1DIN and 2DIN. You need to find out whether S2k fit in single DIN or Double DIN. If you need the DVD player i can get it directly from the Manufacture. Hehe
