As the title says, whats the going prices on EG's these days, I'm after a fix-er-upper to runaround in and for the mrs, so nothing flash, not arsed about engine choice either, would prefer an auto, until i decide what to do with it.

good luck
I sold a EG GL for 4,600 with a few extras...
Hope that helps? and 9 months rego..
Thanks dudes, I will probably have a mooch round for a real shitter and do it up eventually to my high standards, just need something to potter around in thats economical for now. I wouldn't mind a Honda City either, might keep my eye out for one of them too.
be aware:
redbook isnt a biblical market value website
its just a rough estimate,
and at times, ull find its suprisingly untrue/reasonably off.
i sold my stock GL for $5400, years rego?
would you get a repairable writeoff? theres one on carsales
Car must of been clean as a whistle!
The red one? It's cheap.... buy it!
lol yea it was clean as.
nahh theres a white one. $999. lol
Not the best time to buy EG lol...
Overpriced
they are indeed, no drama's though I'll find one at a price thats decent. Like I said previously, i'll find some ratty shitbox that some chick has battered, shaft her good over the price and then start from there.
i bought a Gli for my wife with full service history for $4000 about 3 months ago - hasnt let her down so not too bad
N14 - bulletproof reliability, spare parts galore
1.6 EFI DOHC 88kw & ~1000kg = kills EG anyday of the week.
very similar fuel efficiency, can probably find something for ~$2500-3500
or even THIS... fully optioned, 2 litre (105kw) TI... ok the k's are north of 260k, but have seen these run well past 300k (350+) without many probs, as long as they are well maintained. value for money beater, it kills a civic.
cheers for the suggestion, but im not after anything remotely quick lol, if i keep the car, i might do something special withi ti, for now i just want an EG runaround.
wtf! i never knew eg's these days are so overpriced.
i purchased one back in 05 for a measly 4k for a eg gli sedan with 110k on the clock. it came with 16" (even the spare was the same) stereo etc.
I bought mine for 5.7k last month a 94 gli with 77,000km. Yeah it was pretty neat except for a tiny dent on a quarter panel and a couple of scratches. The bolts were still even factory painted so at least I have a good base to start on.
Yea redbook is not gospel
I sold my 94 breeze with 160ks for $6500 at the start of this year
The new P plate laws seem to be pushing the price up. Good for those who have an EG, not so good for those who want an EG.
77km sounds very low...^ Good buy if its legit
my mate got lucky. found a breeze, with just a couple of dented panels, and paint spill on the boot carpet for 1k. went up for sale, and he bought it the next day.
now rocking a b18c.
skinny u gonna go the k-series route?
i got my 92 eg Si for $2800 although k's were around 285xxxkm's
Hasnt let me down yet, everything works in it and its a good long term project for my p's
look around and take your time
Best advice i can give you mate, The cars worth what you want to pay for it.... I have seen people pay 5 grand for ED civics in bad condition just because they wanted that particular car and colour.
Hope all goes well with the sale
wtf????
i bought my vti with <70,000ks for $5,700
kazam bought his for like $6k.
yep VTI, vtec sunroof etc, non of this carby shit
and this was years ago, before 2nd car market went **** up
yer i rekon ~I bought my vti for cheaper than 5~mind you paint was shit.
just have to be patient.
i paid over 5 figures for my eg6
Ooo k24. screw hybrid imo. too messy. o.t

Sold a blue 1.3l breeze over 200,000kms for $3200 with rwc and rego last yr, paint was peeling a bit and some tiny dents.
I think the civics have gone up in price.
oh, and skinny. stock euro specs, are less power, and similar torque as h22a type S. 1 extra gear not worth all the hassle. :p
