check the fuse as in see if its burnt out..if its blown, the little metal wavey thing you see in the fuse is broken and in that case lets no current through. but since its your amp, check your fuses...

fuse probably a goner or a cut in the remote wire for the amp.

with the deck id guess loose wiring or dodgey wiring (craptastic tape job)..but you checked that. id like to learn the out come also.
