Fender flares are not the issue. Its the problem with the rear trailing arms and coilovers/shocks absorbers. You will most likely hit it.

You can get rid of the middle resonator and get a custom b-pipe but there are several issues you have to be careful of.
1. It may drone if you get rid of the resonator

Im not too experience with track set up but for a 8 inch wheel, i would go for 225/45.
Depending on your height, you may clear it without camber arms because i had 215/45 on 17*9+22 on the rears...
