The only way you won't drop out of VTEC is if you rev the **** off the engine and shift at lightning speed.. I've had both and the short ratio makes a world of difference !

that is right.. i think you need the deeper brackets.. from memory they are about 2 inches thick or more..

if you use the thinner ones... maybe 1 inch thick, when you instal the bumper it would...

Ive had this issue since I bought the car and has never really been a problem.

Seems to be happening more as the weather cools down.. when i start the car cold, i occasionally get a grinding noise...

ive got this problem and apparently its my exhaust flange gasket... sounds about right.. i get it when i step on the gas in the mid range revs and gets worse as the car heats up..

Agreed.. dont bother with Short ram.. I had one when i bought my car and it annoyed me so much i searched for and bought a stock airbox !! then bought a CAI a few weeks later lol
