Hi, as above. Wondering if 245/40/19 will fit a 19 x 8 rim. Thanks!
Can anyone please confirm which transponder chip is for the EK1.
Is it a T5 transponder chip?
Appreciate the help.
Have you tried looking up from www.oemacuraparts.com?
You should be able to search for part numbers there.
+1 for Kumho KU31. Had them on my DC5R.
Also, regardless of the pricing, take the best quote to Kmart Tyre & Auto. They should be able to beat or at least match the price.
Got KU31 in 215/45/17...
Also, the 'Type R' badge is in the wrong spot on the rear of the car.
Why don't you ask the owner any questions you may have.
If you're only concerned about it being a genuine DC5R then...
Looks like a DC5R based on the VIN you provided.
However the steering wheel is NOT a DC5R steering wheel - DC5R steering wheels have the Red H badge.
Make of this what you want. Could just be...
What Fredoops said. There is an electronic rev limiter, and in neutral its so you don't break the transmission by dumping the clutch at 8.2k rpm.
Well if you want OEM then the cheapest you're going get is from www.oemacuraparts.com
Otherwise, if you're keen for aftermarket then others have named a few places to go.
Am currently running Mugen mounts in my DC5R. Barely notice a difference to OEM. No vibrations either.
Kumho KU31. Got 215/45/17 for $125 each.
I'm having a similar issue on my DC5R.
Considering just getting another DC5 cluster, though finding one with similar km's is proving to be quite a pain.
Could be an IACV issue. Read below:

Facelifted RSX-S (05 -06) will have the same issues as our DC5S.
Yea you may require the revert to the DC5R ecu for compatibility with K-Pro.

As mentioned above, you may want to...
I had the same problem with my DC5R a few days ago.
Went to borrow an OBD2 reader and the following codes came out:
41-01 HO2S (B2 S1) Heater Failure
41-04 HO2S S1 Heater Failure
It's...
Went to a mechanic to borrow. You can get cheap ones from eBay for $80
Very helpful info.
Thanks heaps!
I turned the ignition on my DC5R and I got the check engine light yesterday morning.
Got an OBD2 code reader today and the following codes came up:
41-01 HO2S (B2 S1) Heater Failure
41-04 HO2S...

Just wondering if the CL9 Base model and Luxury have interchangeable headlight housings?
E.g., Would the headlights from a Luxury model fit the Base model and still be able to use the H1 halogen?...
It's not a big deal. Just letting people know that it did come in CW. In case some people wanted it in that colour.
Just for the record, the DC5S did come in CW.
It was just very very rare.

FYI Stock is much lower than 4300K.
Philips Blue Vision is probably your best/cheapest option. Its ADR approved but only 4000k.
Anything with a higher temperature rating/bluer isnt legal.
