Cheers for putting that up mate, sorry i missed you in the pits and it was a shame that the weekend was so hot which really limited the cars performance. was really hoping to run a 9 that weekend and...
Quick clip that Luke from Fullboost got of my car at the Jamboree. Still no 9 second timeslip due to the heat of the weekend but we did edge a little closer to the 150mph barrier.
unfortunately no, haven't been to the track this year its been strickly street duties for it, we've been building a new house so that is taking up all my spare time.
Because this car is built with a purpose, to go fast, this car prior to its latest rebuild has run a 8.37@186mph in the quarter, at that stage it was in its factory red and it stood out less in a...
It runs a 9psi wastegate spring and it will hold boost steady at 30psi, the wastegate is only a 38mm tial and the position isn't ideal so it does creep to 12-13psi on spring pressure.
Na just a 3 port solenoid, seems to control high boost fine. I have full throttle shift setup and have used it but it makes absolutely no difference to times so i generally still lift.
Had one more run at willowbank for the year last night, the track was nothing like it was at jamboree but we still managed to beat our best mph by upping the rev limiter a fraction in 4th, track...
here's a video of the 10.08 run from jamboree that a mate got, quaility is a little rough and it really doesn't look that impressive against an 8 second corolla. lol
This is getting well off topic and i can appreciate that you have had issues with a darton block, but there is plenty off b series darton sleeved blocks that are making 1000hp in the states without...
I cant comment on how the dart block sleeves are located but i'm pretty sure they will have a flange at the top of the steel sleeve that locates into a machined recese in the aluminium block as per...
All it cost me was the price of the coils which from memory i payed $200 for 8 of them of ebay. i made everything else for the conversion myself and a mate wired it and the link computer was capable...
sure do, i still have a little boost up my sleeve and it was hard on the rev limit in 4th gear through the end, so with a little bit of a tweak it might do it!
sure are, the setup is identical to the first page except i changed to a edelbrock inlet manifold, 2000cc injectors, deautschewerk DW301 fuel pump and wound the boost up another 5psi.
New pb at jamboree today, finally fitted a parachute and turned the speed limiter off and managed to get to the final of modified compact and run a 10.08@146.54mph.
