Is there any recommendations for good (and not too pricey) engine mechanics on the Gold Coast that can handle some S2000 work (like head work/guides etc.)?

I'm the guy running a 2001 S2000 engine in an MGA. The car only gets Club use, but back in Easter 2014 it started pinging/pinking under load, especially up hills. It was suggested it could be the CKP...

Excuse the older vehicle ignorance, but what does SCS mean?...I have the large Honda workshop manual, but cannot see this mentioned.

I'm not a frequent user of this forum, but some of you may remember I have a S2000 engine in a 1960 MGA. I use the standard ECU, and today on a Club run, the car went into limp home mode 4 times....
