energy suspension moun inserts....

Axle tramp was next to nil, has the same affect as a torque dampener, however as soon as I supercharged the engine it started to flex on the engine mounts again....

I've done 14.66 wih only hardened engine mounts in my dc5 :)

Yeh I know, they also did some minor suspension changes and etc ...

But thats not going to matter, the car will be kitted, new rims and a good set of coilovers :)

especially look into the ariel atom ... 7 and 9 psi onto a standard k20 :) serious power
300BHP at the engine from 7 psi

All that adds up to a car that is neutral for most driving, and still does tend to understeer at the limit ....

although lift off oversteer can be fun :) :D

But if you also upgrade the front sway to 22 - 24 mm you need to once again have stiffer rear springs :)

I have 24mm sways both front and rear, with 6Kg...

From my understanding, for dc5's the best spring rates are comparative to ...
for every 1 kg front, there should be 1.5 -2 Kg in the back

Hardest rate isn't really that much info mate....

Softer rates (4kg front) and say 6kg in the back, with make the car very sluggish. 6 in the front with 9's in the back will make it a bit harder...

King springs for the dc5r without changing the shocks is not the smartest way.

I would have gone for either spoon or merwede....

The king springs are usually very soft, what spring rates did...

Just speaking to a friend of mine who owns an S2k, and supposedly they tracked it down to being the springs on the clutch disk not being up to scratch

02+ is glass window... and I'll definetly look out for any gear box and master cylinder troubles

Dc5rs respond better to mods than dc2r's do.. but all in all the Dc5r is a more comfortable daily driver in its stock form. When modified it can easily compete, and in my mind out-compete a DC2r.

Costs involved can make it quite illusive, you upgrade the injectors, for 7psi. Apart from that its pretty straight froward, you would be looking at close to 2000 for tuning and 1000+ for install.

Awd would be a nasty conversion... even transferring the HRV platform would not be easy. Turboing can be done cheaply, but it could also be done properly for less than the coversion cost to AWD...
