mine didn't have this problem. perfect fit. but there is a plastic cap on the gear stick. I did remove the plastic cap. then perfect. the leather boot just too long for the SS.

i don't think you can compare the price, and i am sure you need to remove the sub frame for removing the gearbox. that is not an easy job. I got a quote $700 just for install. i am living in Perth....
