So just to close this one out. It turns out it was a driveshaft issue. Two things, the new outer shaft on the passenger side installed turned out to be the wrong length, it was longer that standard....
Hi everyone,
So the story is i had a seized LHS hub on driveshaft and the CV boot had split. As the mechanic couldn't separate the hub and driveshaft, i got a second hand hub/knuckle (from a EK1)...
If the driveshaft is not installed properly (either at the gear box and hub) or if there is something wrong with it, can tyre chatter occur during cornering?
Awesome thanks guys!
As for the auto gli driveshafts, is the reason why these won't fit because of length or is there a physical difference in size and splines?
Sorry, got the parts from hondwreck. so its just the knuckle assembly only. I won't be able to test the caliper and disc mounting as a shop will be doing this change for me.
The interior is black with a weird hatchy blue, maroon middle bits
The tachometer should have a redline of 7400 or 8k rpm or so, vtec engages around 5400
The wheels are a curved 5 spoke

where can you get a new hub? i'm interested in this as well, similar problem, but this time around the hub nuts has siezed so even more cause for damage to the hub when trying to get it off.
Yep, DC2R calipers bolt straight onto the 262mm knuckle.
If thats the case, it sounds like that have been machined so you don't need the 3mm spacer that sits on the hub under the disc. But you will...
sorry, maybe be a silly question, but are your calipers already machined back 3mm?
And the noise you have without the spacer is most likely your dust cover rubbing against the rotor, just need to...
pretty sure 98 onwards. As far as i know, honda revised the master clyinder with the piston sticking out to one with it internal or something. The internal one is the only one available from honda...
Got them from tirerack from about 900ish all up then add balancing and fitting on top of that. However, after all the effort i went through it would have been much easier to go to bob jane and get...
to drill down a little further, race cars are built from the ground up, but what about the everyday racer with his toyota or honda, i know there are bits of kit like roll centre adjusters etc. in...
-0.5 doesn't sound right to me either. maybe i'll just try to bring it to another shop and make sure they know about all the adjustable bits i have.
well actually, i'm trying to get to as many...
