Did you try and break your pads in?
There's so wear in pattern that you can use. I'll post it up if I can find it. Basically it's something like
6 x brake from 100 - 80km/h
8 x brake from 140...
One tip about 16's. If you're picky about the tyre, you'll have a hard time getting tyres that fit.
Note: most 205/45/16's are the incorrect load rating. That is. 83W. DC2R's require 86W (sticker...
There are two different schools of thought.
1. stiffer spring/shock combo
2. softer spring + swaybar
The main difference is a stiffer spring compresses and releases energy faster. Whiteline...
4-1's will be slightly more peaky (higher in the rev range) ... but probably barely noticable on a stock engine. When you start moving to high lift cams... you'd probably see a greater peak in power...
BC3 for power - though minimal gain over the quieter Catbacks...
BC3 for lightness
BC3 for noise!
BC3 for high RPM Action!! :D
but hard to get a new one now... as there are changes happening...
Looking at pistons for a B18C7 :) - starting to scope my engine project ... so tossing up between the Toda's and wiseco's ....
What does pinging sound like up a hill?
Hey ProECU,
Just wanted to hear your reasons as to why you think wiseco's are the best on the market :)
I'm currently shopping for pistons. Just interested in your opinion!
Thanks!
hahah what's the next planned route? Jase, if you're selling, I'm buying ;)
Adrian, you still doing interest free? what's the cap for interest free?
I'm up to step #6 of the bang for bucks DC2...
For the lazy ones :D
Jase's drag thread:

However I think they might want more details on the engine specs :D
How do you advance timing without adjustable cam gears?
(other than the hanny's method)
While Turbo's do make more power for less money :) I think it cost more to make a turbo car reliable :D
I guess I've seen more turbo cars side lined at the track than N/A cars.
The advantages...
syncro's :D just change the gearbox oil. Sounds like it's about time.
While I would love to transplant a k20A into my DC2R, My concern is the sump and header clearance :D Especially because I like my car low, I already have some clearance issues.
would there be a difference in the stroke of the shock?
example -
Case #1
have less stroke/ suspension travel?
Case #2
More stroke or suspension travel required?
Hi Wojtek,
Unfortunately I don't have the old shock dyno graphs (even though I would like to get one done to have some piece of mind that everything is in order), but the inconvenience of pulling...
Hey Wojtek,
I've been on:
+++++++++++++++++
Eibach - 9kg/6kg progressive + Bilstein (they say groupA) - valving unknown. It was a 41mm piston from memory
Nice weight transfer, bit to much roll...
Would it be true to say, that there are a number of solutions that can achieve the same goal and that each solution has it's advantages and disadvantages?
I personally have been on different...
Steel wool does not work - someone tested it on the nissan forums and it only shaved 1db.
The best bet is a gasket with a 1" outlet. This is:
- cheap
- no modification to the catback
- does the...
It's probably not your sussy, and you may only need to lube the bushing.
If its coming from the rear, it's probably the lower control arm bushing (where you see the rear lower tie rod), just needs...
Does Odyessy stuff sit under a 15" rim tinks?
The yanks are using early model NSX calipers coz they had 15" rims - so the conversion does not require an upgrade in rims.
Personally, with a...
Actually, if thermostat was stuffed, car still warms up, but the guage can go up and down depending on your speed.
But if yours jumps at startup, i think its something else.. :)
Thermostat :D - think it's like a 10 dollar item
Only thing is, I'm not sure why the thermostat would show up warm first.
I think they usually troubleshoot this with trial and error. ie. replace...
I'd like to know as well :D
92db is for older cars (and louder for older older)
and I thought it was 89 or 90 db for 2002 and above models.
Also, friends who had silencers were made to take it...
nope, it's not the best size for tyres. It's extremely limited.
205/45/16 has a few more choices but still limited.
IMHO 15's and 17's have the best choices.
