I dont know if it will cause an issue, however, if your fluid is old enough to cause concern why don't you just bleed first so you've got clean fluid throughout the system?
Okay best I could do is the attached pad image. Searched o Google but nothing. All rear pads I've seen in the past have notches that slot into the cross pattern on the piston. My 2009 CU2 rear...
I'd already put the wheels back on and lowered the car before I realised it might be a problem. I've just called a Honda specialist on the off chance they'd answer (public holiday) and they did......
That's exactly what I was expecting to see. I've done rear brakes before on other cars but this was just a hollow piston like the fronts - no notch to insert. Think it might be different on the CU2...
This arvo I was bleeding my rear brakes when my assistant pull ON the handbrake (she thought it should be on for safety). I wasn't aware this had happened when I decided to replace my rear...
For what it's worth, dba do produce brakes specifically for the cu2. They are 320mm on the front and 305 on the rear. I've just measured my 09 AT and they are indeed 320 & 305.
Has anyone else had a problem with leaking Magnefine filters? I got a proper one (not Raybestos), the hose clamps are tighter than a drum yet it's still leaking somehow. It's on the right way too...
I have to say I was impressed by the guys at Boss Components. I suppose I'd never really thought about the design that goes into a simple filter but they're properly CAD designed with flow models...
Actually good so far. They immediately responded (despite being Sunday night) and offered to pay postage + refund if I sent it back. It's not really worth my time and effort to be honest but...
I spoke to Stewart at Boss Components (makers of Magnefine). Apparently their patents lapsed recently so the market is being flooded by clones. While he did not make any claims about the Raybestos...
Hey I bought this one and I just want to warn others that it's not authentic. I stumbled across this a little earlier: http://rdx.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=887394
