    As far as the tear goes i have to small tears on either side of my soft top beither are as big as that one but one is slightly wider, but i have never had leaks through mine either.

    your pretty much right, i do have a spare key but not remote, i let the key dry, sprayed it with contact cleaner, and replaced the battery but no luck. i dont know where the aftermarket immobolizer...
